Camon G11302 Instruction Manual

CAMON
TO COMMENCE
WORK
Ensure all six weights are located into the front tray.
Start the engine and pull the drive lock lever towards
you to give drive to one wheel only.
With the engine on tick over, pull up the drive lever to
move theAerator to the work area. The throttle can
be increased once control of the machine is obtained.
Align theAerator on the left-hand side of the lawn as it
is easier to operate the machine clockwise round the
lawn.
Place your foot on the tine drum lifting lever and
release the locking catch. This will allow the lifting
lever to lower the tine drums on the lawn.
Engage the drive lock by pushing the black ‘T’ lever
away from you. Increase the engine speed to half
throttle. Pull up the drive lever to commence work.
NB: There may be a brief moment before the drive
lock engages both wheels, this is perfectly normal. The
Aerator can be steered round gradual curves without
disengaging the drive lock, but it should always be
disengaged when rotating at the end of a pass to return
down the lawn. This will prevent scuffing of the turf.
WARNING: The Aerator weighs 180kg with all
weights. BE CAREFUL when manoeuvring and do not
leave the machine unattended on a slope.
TO STOP THE
ENGINE
Release the drive lever and return the throttle to idle.
Place your foot on the tine drum lifting lever and press
all the way down until locking catch holds the lever in
the down position. The tine drums are now raised off
the ground.
Pull the black ‘T’ lever towards you to give drive to one
wheel only.
Switch the ignition to‘OFF’ position.
Turn the fuel tap to‘OFF’ position.
WARNING: THE EXHAUST COVER MAY BE
HOT - DO NOT TOUCH.

OPERATING
HINTS
The Lawn Aerator is used to drive solid or
hollow tines into the earth to allow ingress
of air and water to encourage grass to root
deeper into the ground. This also helps the
turf to withstand hard wear and builds
resistance to weeds,moss and disease.
Solid tines should be used in the majority of
conditions, especially on heavily compacted
or hard turf.
Hollow tines should only be used in moist
conditions.
DO NOT use the machine on slopes of
o
more than 25 .
The LawnAerator incorporates a drive lock
which gives either drive to both wheels or
to only one wheel when manoeuvring. The
drive lock lever is a black‘T’ shape lever and
is located on the right-hand handlebar.
Pulling the lever towards you gives drive to
one wheel only. Releasing the lever away
from you drives both wheels.
TO START THE
ENGINE
Check the engine oil level - top up with
10w/40 oil if necessary.
Never re-fuel when the engine is hot or
running.
Allow 1” air space in the tank.
Lift the operating lever on the left-hand
handlebar and retain in fast idle position by
locating the locking clip into lever bracket.
Switch ignition to‘ON’ position.
If the engine is cold, move the choke lever to
‘ON’ position.
Turn the fuel tap to‘ON’ position.
Hold the handlebar, but do not pull the drive
lever.
Pull the recoil start handle gently until it is
engaged, then give the handle a strong pull to
start the engine.
When the engine has started, move the
choke lever to‘OFF’ position.
Check fuel level.
Only use unleaded petrol from a clean
container.
