ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
At least two people are required for the installation of this fountain!
1. Make sure you are assembling your fountain on a level surface capable of holding a minimum of 1520 pounds
within a 4 square foot footprint.
2. Be sure to check the leveling of the fountain after each component installation. If fountain components are not
properly leveled, the water will not flow correctly.
3. Place the Base (FT-269H) into position where the fountain will be installed.
4. Place the large urn (P-711) on top of the base.
5. Place drain stopper into the smaller hole in the urn and tighten.
6. Feed the pump cord through the hole in the large bowl and down through the pedestal leaving enough cord
length to work with the pump outside the pump cover.
7. Pull the remaining pump cord down through the urn and out the base.
8. To ensure a level installation, bring the pump cord out through the opening in the bottom of the base.
9. See enclosed stopper assembly instructions and complete before continuing.
10. Place the medium pedestal (FT-269F) over the pump in the center of the urn.
11. Connect the ½” black non-kink end of the 24” tubing assembly to the bottom of the medium bowl (FT-269E).
Tighten the hose clamp to ensure a good seal.
12. While dropping the tubing down through the medium pedestal, place the medium bowl on top of the pedestal.
13. Connect the ¾” clear vinyl end of the tubing assembly to the pump outlet.
14. Place the other drain stopper into the hole of the medium bowl and tighten to seal.
15. Place the small pedestal (FT-269C) into the center of the medium bowl.
16. Connect one end of the 18” black non-kink tubing to the bottom of the small bowl and tighten hose clamp for a
good seal.
17. While dropping the tubing down through the small pedestal, place the small bowl (FT-269B) on top of the small
pedestal.
18. Connect the other end of the 18” tubing to the top of the medium bowl and tighten hose clamp for a good seal.
19. Install the finial (FT-269A) into the small bowl by placing it over the pipe protruding up from the bowl.
20. Place doors (FT-269D, FT-269G and FT-269I) in the access openings of the pedestals..
21. Fill the large bowl with approximately 25 gallons of water.
a. NOTE: Do not run fountain without sufficient water. If the pump is allowed to run dry, it can damage
the pump.
WINTER CARE AND GENERAL FOUNTAIN INSTRUCTIONS
-W I N T E R C A R E -
Fountain bowls/tops and other fountain components, which collect water, should not be left outside in the winter since
any component, which fills with water and freezes may crack. Likewise components such as pedestals, which remain
in a basin, filled with water, which then freezes, may also crack or crumble. Ideally, therefore, a fountain should always
be stored indoors or in a dry protected place such as a covered porch away from the elements. However, if a fountain
must be left outside:
(1) Remove pump, rubber stoppers, drainpipes, finials, and other small components for storage indoors. Note
that stoppers or drainpipes are removed to allow drainage in the event water accumulates in any basin. Compression
stoppers may be left on the pump cord for easier assembly next season.
(2) Raise fountain base from ground with wood strips so that base will not freeze to the ground surface.
(3) Cover or wrap the fountain with burlap or other absorbent material (old blanket or towel) and then cover
securely with plastic, making sure that water will not accumulate in the basin or other fountain component and freeze;
(4) Check fountain periodically to insure that plastic is secure and water is not accumulating in any fountain
component. -G E N E R A L F O U N T A I N T I P S -
Install fountains on a level surface. You will need a properly grounded 110-volt (AC only) GFCI protected receptacle
near the fountain for your pump. All pumps are submersible and must be
completely underwater to function properly. Test all pumps and adjust to full
output prior to assembly. It is not recommended that fountains be placed
directly on grass or dirt. Position the channel opening at the base of each
fountain toward the electrical outlet to be used since the pump cord will be
threaded through this opening.
