-WINTERCARE-
Fountainbowls/topsandotherfountaincomponents,whichcollect water, shouldnotbeleftoutsideinthewinter since anycomponent,
whichfillswithwater andfreezesmaycrack.Likewise, componentssuchaspedestals,whichremaininabasin,filledwithwater,
whichthenfreezes,mayalsocrackor crumble. Ideally, therefore, afountainshouldalwaysbestoredindoorsor inadryprotected
place suchasacoveredporchawayfromtheelements. However, ifafountainmustbeleftoutside:
(1) Removepump, rubber stoppers, drainpipes, finials,andother smallcomponentsfor storageindoors. Note that stoppersor
drainpipesareremovedtoallowdrainageintheeventwater accumulatesinanybasin.
(2) Raisefountainbasefromgroundwithwood stripssothat basewill notfreeze tothegroundsurface.
(3) Cover or wrapthefountainwithburlapor other absorbentmaterial (oldblanket or towel) andthencover securelywith
plastic,making surethat water will notaccumulate inthebasinor other fountaincomponentandfreeze;
(4) Checkfountainperiodicallytoensurethatplastic issecure, andwater isnotaccumulating inanyfountaincomponent.
-GENERALFOUNTAINTIPS-
Install fountainsonalevel surface. Youwill needaproperlygrounded110-volt (AConly) GFCI protectedreceptaclenear the
fountainfor your pump. All pumpsaresubmersible andmustbecompletelyunderwater tofunctionproperly. Testall pumpsand
adjusttofull outputprior toassembly. Itisnotrecommendedthat fountainsbeplaceddirectlyongrass or dirt. Positionthechannel
opening at thebaseofeachfountaintoward theelectrical outlet tobeusedsince thepump
cord willbethreadedthroughthisopening.

Assembleyourfountain onalevelsurface capableofholdingaminimumof363poundswith
anapproximate1square foot footprint.

1. Place thebase(FT-151C) intopositionwherethe
fountainwill beinstalled, ensuring that it islevel.
2. Assemble thepumpkit
a. Note: Usethesmallpumpadapter thatinsertsinto
the pump.
b. Using ahoseclamp, attachthe1/2" non-kink
tubing tothepumpoutlet.
c. Place thestopper around thepumpcord
approximately6inchesfromthepump.
3. Feedthepumpcordthrough thehole inthebasin
(FT-151C) and outofthechannel.
4. FIRMLY and evenlypress thestopper intothehole.
a. Note: Using thehandle ofascrewdriver or
hammerworksbesttopress thestopper in
place.
5. Place thestandpipesintotheholesinthebasin(FT-
151C).
6. Carefullylowerthewater feature(FT-151A) over
therebar inthebase(FT-151C).
7. Place the1/2”CPVCelbowintothehole inthetop
bowl ofthewater feature(FT-151A).
8. Connect the2clear endsofthetubingassemblyto
theCPVCpipesthat arealreadyprotruding fromthe
bottomofthewater feature(FT-151A).
9. Place thepumpcover (FT-151B) over thepump.
10. Fill thefountainwithwater.
