Quick Reference Guide
This quick reference guide explains the basic
function settings and how to shoot and playback
images. You can take this guide with you when
shooting. For detailed instructions, refer to the
EOS REBEL T3i/EOS 600D Instruction Manual.

Insert the battery.
Insert a SD card.
Attach the lens.
Align the lens’ white or red
index with the camera’s
index in the matching color.
Set the lens focus
mode switch to
<f>.
Flip out the LCD
monitor.
Focus the subject.
Aim the viewfinder center over the
subject and press the shutter
button halfway to autofocus.
Take the picture.
Press the shutter button
completely to take the
picture.
View the image.
The captured image will be
displayed for approx. 2 sec.
on the LCD monitor.
Set the power switch
to <1>, and set the
Mode Dial to <A>
(Scene Intelligent Auto).

shooting are set automatically. You
just press the shutter button, and
the camera does the rest.

If necessary, the built-in flash will pop-up automatically in
low-light or backlit conditions (except in the <7> <3> <5>
modes).

You can change the camera
settings as desired to shoot in

The camera automatically sets the shutter speed and
aperture in the same way as the <A> mode.
