Controlled Access Printers and Public Access Printers
The user has two options for using the Canon NDPS Gateway configured printer for printing:
As a controlled access printer
Controlled access printers are printers added to NDS that appear as objects in the directory tree.
These printers are accessible only through their printer object and their use is limited to users with
access to the NDS object list.
As a public access printer
Public access printers that are not associated with at least one NDS printer object are represented
as a printer agent on the network. Any user can access and use a public access printer through a
client.
