type and the satellite that LNB is aimed at. You may add a satellite that is not listed with the green
button. You may edit the transponders on a satellite with the edit button. When done click the blue
button to save the configuration
Scanning Satellites
Before you start, if you point to more than one provider you can offset a satellites channels by
a given number to separate different service providers. The CW1000S numbers channels by the Service
ID by default. You can edit them later but during scanning duplicate SIDs will overwrite a previous
channel. This only applies if you are pointed at more than one provider's satellite(s). An offset of
10,000 is usually adequate. For providers with multiple satellites set all of their satellites to the same
offset. That will preserve the original channel order.
First you should select the edit button for any satellite(s) that fit the description above. There
you can set the offset. The channel numbers will add the offset to the SID to set the new channel
number.
Once the offset is taken care of you should scan for available channels. You may either select
each satellite's scan button to scan each satellite individually or you may press the red button to scan all
satellites at once. In the scanning screen you will see a signal meter and 2 bo es with the video and
audio channels scanned. Also there are 2 scanning options Thorough and Fast. The fast scan is faster
but more prone to error on weak signals. Thorough will do a better job with weak signals but takes
longer. Use whichever produces the best results for you. Press the green button to start the scan. Press
the blue button to save the channel list after the scan is complete.
Once scanning is complete you may edit the channels found by pressing the yellow button in
the satellite setup screen. Here you may delete unwanted channels or change the channel numbers. The
red button deletes all channels the green button deletes the highlighted channel. The enter button allows
you to assign a new channel number to the highlighted channel. (Note: you can not have duplicate
channel numbers) Press the blue button to save your changes. If you make a mistake you can press the
yellow button without saving to revert back to the list with the SID as the channel number. The changes
will not take effect until the blue button is pressed to save your changes.
