Loading the slide tray:
1. Turn the slide tray upside down to check that the slot in the base ring is lined up
with the “0” slot in the housing. If not, rotate the base ring until the slot lines up
with the “0” slot in the housing and the base ring is locked in place.
2. With the slide tray upright, turn the locking ring in the direction of the arrow
marked “UNLOCK” and remove the locking ring.
3. Beginning with slot number “1”, load the slides in an 80- or 140- capacity slide
tray in numerical order. Hold each slide so that the image appears normal, and then
invert it and insert it into the tray facing the next slide position.
4. After all the slides have been inserted, replace the locking ring, and turn it in the
direction of the arrow marked “LOCK”.
Loading the tape deck:
1. Open the audio control panel door to gain access to the tape deck function
controls.
2. Firmly press the STOP/EJECT button to open the cassette door.
3. Place a prerecorded cassette in the tape deck with the label facing forward and the
labeled audio side showing through the glass panel of the cassette door, and the full
reel at the bottom.
Note
: If the tape is inserted upside down, the cue pulses will be heard. The tape can only
carry an audio program on one side.
4. Close the cassette door.
5. Press the REWIND to ensure that the tape is rewound to the beginning of the
audio program.
Beginning the program:
1. Press the PLAY button to start the program.

2. Adjust the VOL (volume) and TONE controls for a comfortable listening level.
3. If the synchronization between the tape commentary and the slide program is lost,
press and hold the FORWARD or REVERSE button to move the slides until
synchronization is reestablished.
Ending the program:
1. At the end of the program, lightly press the STOP/EJECT button.
2. Press the REWIND button.
3. Firmly press the STOP/EJECT button to open the cassette door and remove the
cassette. Close the cassette door.
4. Press and hold the SELECT button, manually rotate the slide tray to the “0”
position, remove the tray, and release the SELECT button.
5. Move the power switch to OFF.
Troubleshooting and Maintenance:
Jammed slides:
The projector slide mechanism is designed to stop if a slide jams in the
slide gate for any reason, reducing the possibility of damage. To reset the slide
mechanism after such a jam, proceed as follows:
1. Using a coin, turn the screw in the center of slide tray in either direction as far as
it will go and remove the slide tray.
2. Make sure that the locking ring on the slide tray is secure, then turn the tray
upside down, and rotate the base ring until it locks in place at the “0” position.
3. Press the SELECT button to lift the jammed slide out of the slide gate and
remove the slide.
4. Seat the slide tray on top of the projector. Make sure that the “0” position is
aligned opposite the slide gate index marker.
5. Press the SELECT button a second time to reset the slide mechanism.
6. Return the ejected slide to its former position in the slide tray.
Projection lamp replacement:
1. Place the projector power switch in the OFF position, and unplug the power cord
from the outlet.
2. Turn the captive screw on the lamp access door counterclockwise until the door
can be pulled open.
3. Pull back on the release lever to raise the lamp. Remove the defective lamp, and
return the release lever to the original position.
4. Position a new lamp and push it carefully into the lamp receptacle.
5. Close the lamp access door, and tighten the captive screw by turning it clockwise.
