ready to use.

2. Install the trickle charger (Part no.
CCT3A-2214-IN), insert the Pager into
the charging slot and charge for 24
hours. The battery key on the Pager will
light green briefly upon docking and the
sounder will beep 3 times confirming the
Pager is docked correctly.
If a pillow pad is fitted the charger will not
beep and the pad will vibrate 3 times.
3.
PUSH
Install the Care Call
monitor units according
to their instructions.
Remove the Pager from
the Charger slot and test
each monitor in turn.
4.
To re-set the Pager and stop
the vibration, press and hold
the key that is lit.
Each signal will automatically
cancel after 20-40 seconds.

5. The battery key will flash
green every 45 seconds to
indicate the pager is
switched on.
The Pager must be recharged each night
and if not in use for more than 24 hours
should be switched off.
6
6.
If the Pager becomes flat it
will vibrate and the battery
key will light up.
The battery key will flash
orange until the Pager
is recharged.
If the low battery sequence
alternates with another zone
key the monitor configured to
send that zone has a low
battery. Replace the Monitor
battery and transmit to test.

7.
We recommend a full 24 hour charge before using our equipment.
In an emergency a few hours charge may be sufficient for short time use but this is not advised.

Vibration Alert
Users can choose between the standard audio alert or a discreet vibration pattern for each event.

The Pager will now vibrate when
a signal is received.
This can be especially useful
in the evening, effectively putting
the Pager into "silent" mode.
Changing the system channel code
NOTE. In most cases it is not necessary to change the system code. However, when one or
more systems are in close proximity, system codes can be used to avoid interference from
other Care Call systems using up to a maximum of 16 channels.
The Pager is supplied with no
system code switches set (system code 1).
For reference this is the factory setting
should you need to re-set the unit.
System codes can be set using
key switches 1 - 4.
The diagram to the right shows the 16
possible combinations.
Be sure that the same system code is set on
all monitors to be used in the system.
NOTE. Care Call receivers have an ON/OFF
switch, Care Call monitors do not.

Here we have a Care Call Pager and Mini Monitor set to
system channel 2.
Ensure when setting system channel keys you remember to ignore the
Pagers ON/OFF switch or the equipment will be on different
system channels .
The diagram to the right shows an incorrect attempt to set the system
to channel code 2 (shown as an example to avoid possible confusion).
The correct settings are shown to the left.
