INTRODUCTION
This ki con ains he Bassmon S ring Bass Uni . When properly
ins alled o a Hammond M Series spine , i provides 32’, 8’ pedal and
s ring bass ones on he lower manual, adjus able via onboard rim
po s.
NOTE ABOUT 32’ PITCH: This lower pi ch was selec ed so ha he spine
player can access 16’ Low C on he lowes C no e of he lower manual.
If s andard 16’ ones were provided i would be like having pedals ha
s opped a low F. Very inconvenien ! As a resul , he 7 lowes keys
of he lower manual play low F hru low B a a 32’ pi ch; lower hen
ANY Hammond console, wi h he excep ion of he RT series pedal solo
uni !

INSTALLATION
CAUTION: DISCONNECT ALL EQUIPTMENT FROM POWER BEFORE PROCEEDING.
1. Ins all he Bassmon chassis o he righ of he amplifier.
2. Remove he Brown wire from he rear of he 1
s
lower manual
drawbar, and remove he Red wire from he 2
nd
lower manual
drawbar.
3. Connec he orange wire from he Bassmon o he Brown wire
disconnec ed in s ep 2.
4. Connec he grey wire from he Bassmon o he red wire
disconnec ed in s ep 2.
5. Connec he black wire from he Bassmon o a chassis screw on he
amplifier chassis.
6. Using a soldering iron, connec he purple wire from he Bassmon
o he 1
s
lower manual drawbar.
7. Loca e he AC mains erminals on he amplifier by removing he
lef mos cover pla e. There you should see hree erminals,
wi h grey, blue, and brown wires a ached.

8. Using a soldering iron, connec he grey and blue wis ed pair o
he amplifier erminals as follows: Bassmon grey o amplifier
grey, Bassmon blue o amplifier brown.

he new Bassmon volume con rol.
FINAL CHECK AND ADJUSTMENT
Check all connec ions for proper hookup.
Reins all all covers removed during he ins alla ion.
Turn on he organ in he normal manner.
Play and hold Low C on he lower manual, a ma ch pack can be used
o wedge he key down.
Adjus he “DB Level” rim po o as e. I should be balanced
wi h he regular organ ones, bu no so loud as o cause
dis or ion or undue vibra ions in he one cabine .
Release he Low C and play in a s acca o fashion
You should be hearing a 32’, 8’, and s ring bass one ha goes
all he way o low F on he keyboard. If no , check ha he
“Oc ave” and “Pluck” rimmers are no urned down o “0”.
You will now adjus ha “Pluck” one o your liking by adjus ing
he “pluck” rim po on he Bassmon.
You will now hold Low C again, and adjus he “Oc ave” rim po
o produce he desired mix ure of 8’ one.
IMPORTANT: The Bassmon is a monophonic syn hesizer, which means i
can only play one no e a a ime. Fur her i is
op imized for BASS, so i should only be played in he
bo om 3 oc aves of he keyboard.

unpredic able (and unmusical) resul s.
