Carlyle Professional Hand Tools warrants to the original purchaser that the company’s digital torque wrenches
are free from defects in material or workmanship during the one year warranty period.  We will repair any digital
torquewrenchwhichfailstogivesatisfactoryserviceduetodefectiveworkmanshipormaterials(excludingcalibration)for
12monthsfromthedateoforiginalpurchase.(Calibrationisonlycoveredbythiswarrantyforeachnewunusedtorque
wrenchoutofbox.)Productsmustbereturnedwithproofofpurchase,freightprepaid,tothewarrantyservicecenterlisted
below.
This warranty excludes torque wrenches which have been subjected to abnormal use, accident, neglect, or lack of
maintenance.  Any modification, disassembly of this wrench or repair by an unauthorized service center will void the

BATTERY INSTALLATION
• InserttwoAAAbatteriesmatchingthe-/+polaritiesofthe 
battery to the battery compartment.
• Fastenthescrewofthebatterycover.
Note:Duringresettingprocess,donotvibrateorshakethemeter.
Keepitatrestandinposition.Theanglemeterneedstobeset
ontopofthetoolitwillbeusedwithandsetinplacewithoutany
motiontoallowsensortofindhomeposition.Waituntil4zeros
stopblinkingandtargettorqueangleisdisplayed.Afterthetarget
settingisdisplayed,themeterthencanbeadjustedusingtheup
anddownarrowkeys.

HARDWARE RESET

AUTO POWER OFF
• Themeterwillautopoweroffafterabout2minutesidle
forpowersaving.
• Ifthemeterdoesnotfunctionasstatedintheoperation
manual,pleaserefertothefollowingsteps:
• Todoahardwarereset,useapapercliptotouchthe
resetbuttonunderthesmallholeonthebackofANGLE
METER.(Apenhasinkandinkcanleakintothehole
and potentially gum up the reset button.)
• AnotherwaytoRESETtheANGLEMETERistoremove
the battery and re-install it.
LOW VOLTAGE INDICATOR
Ifthebatteryvoltageisbelow2.3volts,themeterwill
highlight the battery symbol momentarily and then
shutoff.Themeterwilldisplayabatterysymbol
under the M- Memory indicator

If the meter does not reset successfully for a period
oftime, willbeshown.Presstodo
zero-resetagain.Ensurethemeterisinplaceonthe
tool at rest and not in motion
• Pressforzeroreset.
• Presstozeroorresetthedigitalangletorque 

accuracy.

meter. Keepitatrestandinposition. The angle meter
 needstobesetontopthethetoolitwillbeusedwith

to find home position.

FAST GETTING START
• Presstopoweron.
• Press or to set target angle.
• Press to start the angle measurement.
• Start rotation.
• RotationstopandtheLCDwillbegintoflash 
indicating the rotation has stopped.
STEP 1: PUT THE METER ON THE WRENCH
STEP 2: POWER ON THE METER AND RESET
STEP 3: SET TARGET ANGLE
• Press topoweronthemeterorresetthe 
current reading.
• Thecurrenttargetanglewillbeshown.
• ToadjustthedirectionofoperationfromPOSto
 NEG(CWtoCCW),“CHANGE ANGLE
DIRECTION” NOTE: Each of these
sections should be numbered.
• Press to toggle through the pre-set target angles
(M1~M9).
• Press or toadjustthecurrentangle.Note:
 whenatargetnumberisset,itwillbesavedon
that memory number. Example. M1 set @ 20; if
 changedtoM1set@21,itwillbesavedas21on
the M1 setting until altered.

STEP 4: PRE-TIGHTEN WRENCH

• Holdonyourwrenchtopre-tightenthescrew. 
 (eliminatethebacklashofwrench)
• Press to start the angle meter and immediately
 beginyourangletorquemeasurement.
• Whenmeasuringangle,ifalongpauseisdetected
 bythemeter,thentheLCDscreenwillbeginto 
 flash,anditwillholdtheangleitrecordedright 
 beforethepause.Youwillneedtopress to clear
the screen and press to resume.
Note:
1. There are 6 LEDs to indicate the current angle
reaching 80%, 85%, 90%, 95%, 97.5% and 100%
of target angle.
2.Thereisalsoabuzzertoindicatereaching 
level of target value. The interval sound means the
meter has reached 80% of the target angle. The
extended sound means you have surpassed 100%
of the set target angle.

STEP 7: CLEAR ANGLE VALUE OR CALCULATING ANGLE ANAIN OR SAVE ANGLE RECORD
SETUP MENU INTRODUCTION
• Press to clear the current angle.
• Press to calculate the angle from the current
angle.
• Press torecordthecurrentangle,andthatwill
also clear the current value displayed on the
screen.
• From the current target angle screen, press and
hold the button to enter the setup mode. To
scroll through the submenus, press the button
repeatedly.

2. Do not leave this meter in any place exposed to
excessive heat, humidity, or direct sunlight.
3. Donotusethisapparatusinwater.Itisnot 
 waterproof.
4. Ifthemetergetswet,wipeitwithadrytowelas
 soonaspossible.Thesaltinseawatercanbe
especially damaging.
5. Do not use organic solvents such as alcohol or
 paintthinnerwhencleaningthemeter.
6. Keepthismeterawayfrommagnets.
7. Do not expose this meter to dust or sand as
this could cause serious damage.
8. Do not apply excessive force to the LCD panel.

period of time, remove the battery.
2.Keepasparebatteryonhandwhengoingona 
long trip or to cold areas.
3. Do not mix battery types or combine used
 batterieswithnewones.

 this,wipebothterminalsbeforeloadingabattery.
5. Dispose of batteries in a designated disposal
