VEHICLE IS INSIDE A GARAGE OR ENCLOSED
SPACE, ENGINE EMISSIONS MAY CAUSE SERIOUS
INJURY OR DEATH. ONLY TURN THE ENGINE ON
WHEN THE VEHICLE IS OUTSIDE.
Step 1:
Note the make/model/year of the vehicle as well as the
transponder’s serial number. You will need this information in
Step 4.
Step 2:
While the vehicle is o, locate the vehicle’s diagnostic port (See
Fig 1). It’s usually in the driver’s side footwell. Plug the supplied
cable into the port, then plug the other end of the cable into

Step 3:
Clean the top of the dashboard near the driver’s side A-pillar
using automotive glass cleaner or similar. Use the provided ad-

the cable facing the A-pillar. Route the cable along the A-pillar,
down to the driver’s footwell using the provided cable ties to
bundle the slack cable so it is out of the way (See Fig. 3).
Step 4:
Login to eetsystemsusa.e1og.com using your account

Safety Notice
WARNING: Great care should be taken to install the tran-
sponder and its components so that no driver controls are
aected by loose wires or other interference. If installed im-
properly, the transponder could interfere with the operation
of the vehicle foot pedals or steering wheel causing a driver
to be unable to properly brake or steer the vehicle. THIS
COULD RESULT IN SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH.
CAUTION: If you believe that the transponder is adversely
aecting your vehicle’s operation you should immediately
bring your vehicle to a safe stop and remove the transpon-
der and its cable from the J1939 port. Prior to further
operation of your vehicle, you should consult with a com-
petent mechanic who is familiar with your type of vehicle to
determine whether any diculties you are experiencing are
in fact attributable to the transponder.
NOTICE: The transponder has been tested and shown to
be safe and reliable, however some vehicle models are not
in full compliance with J1939 protocols. In addition, the
computer control systems on any given vehicle may be
malfunctioning or out of spec as may the sensors used by
