Power supply connection
The station requires a power supply of 15 V to 30 V.
Comment: the station can be powered by the PoE network
Connection to the IP network
The connection is carried out by a 10/100 Mbit RJ45 Ethernet link.
Connection of the relay output
The connection is carried out via a 3-point terminal block providing a "make-and-break contact" interface (TRC).
If you use one of these relay outputs to control an AC or DC door release, wire a non-polarised 58 V diode in
parallel on the dry contact between C and T or between C and R according to the intended use (diode included).
Input connection
An on-off input allows the connection of a dry contact (do not supply power). In order to be activated, the input
must be earthed.
The contact can be up to 1 km away.

USE
IP address of the station
Every station must have its own IP address in the network. This address can be provided by the network server
(DHCP addressing) or configured manually. The address can be configured from a PC using the web server of the
station
The station is delivered by default with a DHCP address. If no DHCP server is present, then the
station will take a fixed IP address of domain IP4All: 169.254.xx.xx. The IP address of station will be
found by the application CastelIPSearch or CASTELServeur. In the case where the discovery of the
IP address of the set is not possible, pressing the "reset" button of the station during operation
sets its IP address in 192.168.49.251..
Accessing the web server of the station
You can use any web browser, such as Firefox or Internet Explorer, to connect to the web server of the station. To do
so, open your internet browser on any PC connected to the network and enter: "https://" followed by the IP address of
the station ([https://ip_address_of_the_station]). You will then be connected directly to the web page for the station.
Now you simply need to enter your username (default: admin) and password (default: admin) to access the functions
of the web server.
The web server provides information on the station and allows you to configure
it.
In order to access all the functions, go to View / Full view.
On-line help, which can be accessed from any menu, provides information on
the various functions of the web server.

FUNCTIONS
The washable master station is designed to dialogue, via the IP network, with other XELLIP stations, softphones, SIP phones or
any other elements that are compatible with the SIP standard.
General functions of the washable master station
Configuring a network connection
Setting up a SIP account
Managing audio communication
↘Setting the level of priority of the station
↘Setting a call and communication time-out
↘Automatic pick-up with and without delay
↘Enabling secret mode for automatic pick-up
Configure the viewer to customize the greeting or sleep timer
Configure the keyboard to indicate the delay before the automatic lock
Functions of the audio interface
Setting the speaker volume and the microphone volume
Setting the voice transmission mode (Full Duplex / Half Duplex)
Setting a noise-reduction level
Configuring the RTP port number
Validating / invalidating audio codecs
Set up ring tones and tones
Configure DTMF commands to control for example the local relay
Configure noise detection
Switch to simplex via a DTMF command:
↘'*' to switch to simplex listening
↘'#' to switch to speech simplex
↘'0' returns to standard operation
Programmable button functions
All the buttons are programmable and can be used for:
Making a call to 1 to 10 stations, simultaneously or with a time-delay
Controlling the local relay, the relay of the station making or receiving the communication
Sending a DTMF code
Activating forwarding to a station
Activating a call transfer
Activating "do not disturb" mode
Functions of the on-off input interface
Configuring the STATUS or COUNTER input
Configuring the active status of the input (contact open or closed)
Setting a timer for acknowledging a status change (anti-bounce function)
Configuring the counter threshold
Inhibiting the input
Functions of the output interface
The relay output interface can be programmed for:
Configuring the type of relay output: monostable, bistable or flashing
Configuring the type of NO/NC contact
Controlling the Start/Stop output
Controlling the Forcing Open/Closed output
Configuring the time parameters of the output
Functions of logical inputs (or flags)
Logic inputs allow two features in particular:
create a logical state from which it will be possible to condition actions in relationships.
create a counter that will be updated according to events and depending on the value of this counter to trigger
one or more actions.

Configuring relations
The Web server is where automatic controls, also called relations, are configured
There are two types of relations:
Time: used to trigger actions at identified time slots. There are three levels of priority for a time relation (high,
medium and low).
Logical:
↘Logical condition: used to trigger actions at certain status conditions (active, inactive, etc.). A logical
relation can integrate several conditions by operators such as AND, OR, NOT, XOR. Likewise, a logical
relation can trigger several actions.
↘Digital condition (Counting): used to perform actions by comparing the value of a counter with different
thresholds. It is also possible to add or subtract counter values and compare the result obtained.
Configuration of web server users (software users)
The Web server for the station can grant, modify or remove rights for users by specifying their login, password and
operating language.
Function for voice-transmission users of the station
In the user tab, you can create, edit or delete the voice-transmission users to whom you assign a profile. Then, a user
can log into the station using his/her username and password and activate his/her profile on the station.
Profile configuration
Station operating profiles can be created, modified or deleted. Each profile specifies a station priority, a configuration
of function buttons and access rights to the station.
The station can operate with a unique profile or with different profiles according to time slots.
Directory configuration
Station directory inputs can be created, modified or deleted.
It is possible to create inputs for simple calls or multiple calls
Local access configuration
It is possible to configure a simplified access control on the station:
↘Programming from 1 to 15,000 access codes of 1 to 20 figures.
↘Programming action or actions associated with access authorisation and denial by logical relations.
↘Recognition of time slots
SNMP administration management
The station features an SNMP agent (Simple Network Management Protocol) that can respond to SNMP queries and
send notifications (TRAPS) to an SNMP manager.
From web pages, it is possible to:
Configure different communities (read/write)
Configure system data (sysContact and sysLocation)
Configure notifications (recipient, community, etc.)
Download MIB Castel
It supports the SNMPv1 and SNMPv2c versions.
Self-test function
The station has several tests to validate its operation:
HP/MIC self-test: can remotely test the right operation of the speaker and microphone. From the ‘advanced
parameters’ page, the levels of this test can be adapted according to the installation environment. This test can
be activated from the web server or by an SNMP command. The result of the test can be viewed from the web
server history and by an SNMP notification.
Mechanical button self-test: the detection of a locked mechanical button (contact made for more than 20 s) is
signalled by an SNMP notification and an event is signalled in the web server history.
Backup and recovery of system parameters
A full backup or recovery of the station parameters can be made (configuration, profiles, relations, directory, etc.
The door entry station can be reset to factory settings by pressing the reset button for 10 seconds when the station is
started up.

Station update
For the update, you will be provided with a file containing the new software version, if necessary.
You must then download this file via the Web Page. The entry station will restart so as to apply the update. The
update does not modify the user parameters in any way.
Backup on power outage
When a power outage occurs, the station can back up the following information:
counter values
history
backed up events (these events are defined from CastelServer)
The interface statuses
History function
The history displays station events. They are listed by showing the date and time of the relevant event, a description
and additional information.
