TYPEPLAATJE
Op de achterzijde (zie afbeelding als voorbeeld) van het apparaat
bevindt zich het typeplaatje. Er wordt verzocht deze niet te verwijderen.
Aan de hand van het typeplaatje kan bijvoorbeeld worden achterhaald
wanneer het apparaat is aangeschaft (zie PO) en uit welke productielijn
(zie SN) deze voortkomt. Deze informatie kan essentieel zijn met
betrekking tot bijvoorbeeld de garantie. Ook bevat het belangrijke
informatie zoals de spanning en het vermogen om het apparaat veilig aan te kunnen sluiten.
TRANSPORT EN OPSLAG:
INDOOR
USE ONLY
Tijdens transport moet het apparaat te allen tijde zorgvuldig worden verpakt en mag het niet
blootstaan aan sterke trillingen of verschuivingen.
Sla het ingepakte apparaat op in een goed geventileerde ruimte zonder corrosieve gassen.
Plaats het nooit ondersteboven en bescherm het tegen regen als u het door omstandigheden
een korte tijdsduur buiten moet opslaan.
VEILIGHEIDSVOORZORGEN EN GEBRUIKSOMGEVING:
1. Verwijder al het verpakkingsmateriaal en eventueel aanwezige beschermfolie van het apparaat.
2. Plaats het apparaat waterpas op een stevige en goed geventileerde ondergrond, met links en rechts ten
minste 10 cm vrije ruimte en aan de achterkant ten minste 20 cm vrije ruimte (tot bijv. de muur).
3. Plaats het apparaat niet op tapijt, een theedoek, een tafelkleed (vinyl) of een andere ondergrond die
niet bestand is tegen hoge temperaturen.
4. Plaats tijdens het gebruik geen spullen voor het apparaat om ervoor te zorgen dat het op elk gewenst
moment kan worden bediend.
5. Bedek het apparaat nooit met folie. Dit kan oververhitting en daarom gevaar opleveren.
6. Stop de stekker nooit in een verlengsnoer of stopcontact waar meerdere apparaten op aangesloten zijn.
7. Trek de stekker nooit met natte handen uit het stopcontact. Dit is levensgevaarlijk.
8. De voedingsspanning van het apparaat moet overeenkomen met de spanning van het stroomnet.
9. De gebruiker moet een geschikte voedingsschakelaar, zekering en aardlekschakelaar installeren in
de buurt van het apparaat. Zorg ervoor dat de schakelaar altijd goed bereikbaar blijft, zodat hij
gemakkelijk te bedienen is of er in geval van gevaar direct actie kan worden ondernomen.
10. Het apparaat moet worden aangesloten aan een geaard stopcontact. Controleer dit voordat u begint.
11. Controleer altijd of de aansluitingen van alle elektrische onderdelen van het apparaat stevig vastzitten
en dat het apparaat veilig geaard is.
12. Als de stroomkabel vervangen moet worden, moet dit worden uitgevoerd door een vakman.
De kabel dient te worden vervangen door eenzelfde/gelijke kabel.
13. Laat de aansluiting, de installatie en het onderhoud van het apparaat uitvoeren door een professionele
(erkende) elektro-installateur.

14. Als u iets abnormaals constateert, dient u het apparaat direct uit te schakelen en wellicht uw
servicemonteur te contacteren. Na het controleren en/of verhelpen van het probleem kunt u weer
verdergaan.
15. Gebruik bij reparatie geen onderdelen anders dan die CaterChef standaard meelevert en dus niet van
CaterChef afkomstig zijn. CaterChef neemt geen verantwoordelijkheid voor schade toegebracht aan het
apparaat door gebruik van de ’verkeerde’ onderdelen.
16. Houdt kinderen te allen tijde buiten de directe omgeving van het apparaat, dit om met name de kans
op brandwonden te voorkomen.
ONTVETTEN:
Voordat u het apparaat in werking stelt dient u het apparaat grondig schoon te maken met warm water,
een doek en een kleine hoeveelheid schoonmaakmiddel. Spoel het apparaat zelf nooit af onder de kraan,
dit kan de elektrische onderdelen ernstig beschadigen.
Zorg bovendien dat voordat u het apparaat in werking stelt, u het goed heeft afgedroogd.

REGULIER GEBRUIK:
1. Verlaat de omgeving van het apparaat nooit gedurende gebruik.
(Onder gebruik valt ook de afkoelperiode).
2. Verplaats het apparaat nooit gedurende gebruik.
3. Raak de binnenpan nooit aan gedurende gebruik.
4. Het apparaat dient alleen te worden gebruikt waarvoor het is ontworpen.
5. Na gebruik of indien u het apparaat en zijn omgeving wil verlaten, dient het apparaat te worden
uitgeschakeld. (Gebruik hiervoor de schakelaar, die u op de voorzijde van het apparaat kunt vinden).
6. Trek bij ontkoppeling van het apparaat van het stroomnet, nooit aan het snoer, maar uitsluitend aan de
stekker.
7. Laat om enig (brand)gevaar te voorkomen de stekker na gebruik nooit in het stopcontact zitten,
8. Wanneer u het apparaat verplaats, dient u dit te doen door het apparaat aan de onderzijde op te
tillen.
9. Hete onderdelen, zoals de stoomopening, niet aanraken. Hierdoor kunnen brandwonden ontstaan.
10. De aluminium deksel kan voor het reinigen worden verwijderd.
Als de siliconen dop eruit valt, druk deze dan in de juiste richting vast in de centrale houder.
11. Het apparaat tijdens het koken niet openen. Hierdoor kunnen brandwonden ontstaan of kan de rijst niet
gaar koken.
GEBRUIKSINSTRUCTIES
1. Correcte manier van afwegen van rijst.
2. De binnenste pan vullen met de juiste hoeveelheid rijst.
3. De rijst spoelen.
4. Water vullen volgens de waterhoogtelijn.
5. Bovenste deksel sluiten en stekker in het stopcontact steken.
6. “Power”-knop indrukken, het scherm wordt verlicht.
7. Kies: “korte rijstkorrel, lange rijstkorrel of pap/soep”.
8. De rijstkoker telt de laatste 10 minuten van de bereidingstijd af. Als de rijst klaar is,
piept de rijstkoker en schakelt automatisch over op “warmhouden”.

SCHOONMAKEN EN ONDERHOUD:
Stap 1: Na gebruik dient het apparaat eerst te worden uitgeschakeld, waarna u de strekker uit het
stopcontact dient te verwijderen. Doe dit, te allen tijde, in de beschreven volgorde.
Dit voorkomt kortsluiting of ander mogelijk gevaar.
Stap 2: Maak het apparaat schoon met een natte doek en een kleine hoeveelheid reinigingsmiddel
en droog het vervolgens zorgvuldig af. Gebruik geen wasbenzine, verdunner, schuurborstel of
polijstpoeder om het apparaat schoon te maken.
Buitenkant, deksel
1. Reinigen met een droge en zachte doek.
2. Geen afwasmiddel gebruiken.
3. Deksel na elk gebruik reinigen omdat aangekoekte aanslag moeilijk te verwijderen is.
4. Het metaal aan de binnenkant kan verkleuren of vlekken vertonen. Dit is onschadelijk voor de
gezondheid.
Binnenste pan, binnenste aluminium deksel
1. Reinigen met een zachte doek of spons en afwasmiddel.
Grote maatkop, rijstschep
1. Reinigen met een zachte doek of spons en afwasmiddel.
Verwarmingsplaat, sensor
1. Een korrelige aanslag? met fijn schuurpapier lichtjes schuren, en daarna met een droge doek
schoonvegen.
• Let op! Spoel het apparaat niet af met water. (Houdt het niet onder de kraan).
Dit kan het apparaat en zijn onderdelen beschadigen en dit kan leiden tot gevaar.
• Reinig het apparaat nooit met een rvs-borstel. Dit veroorzaakt krassen en beschadigd het apparaat.
• Gebruik een stofzuiger om (voorzichtig) vervuiling en afval te verwijderen uit de luchtventilatie.
• Bewaar het apparaat binnen en droog.
• Zorg dat voordat u het apparaat wilt onderhouden, de stekker uit het stopcontact is verwijderd.

Als het apparaat niet werkt of is beschadigd, controleer dan het volgende:

AEEA gescheiden ingezameld en verwerkt worden. Als dit product in de toekomst ooit afgedankt
moet worden, doe dit dan NIET via het huishoudelijk afval. Breng dit product indien mogelijk

TYPE PLATE
The type plate (the picture is an example) is located on the back of the
device. You are requested not to remove it.
The type plate can for example be used to determine, when the item was
purchased (view PO) and from which production line (view SN) it
originates. This information may be essential with regard to warranty.
It also contains important information such as the voltage and power
supply which determines the ability to connect the device safe.
TRANSPORT AND STORAGE:
INDOOR
USE ONLY
As long as the products are packed, please make sure you never place them upside down.
This could damage the appliance. During transport, the product should be placed carefully.
Make sure you prevent any drastic vibration during transport. You should never place or store
this product outside or in open air for a longer period of time than a few hours
(not even packed). It should be stored in a well-ventilated warehouse without corrosive
gasses. When, in case of an emergency, you need to store them temporarily outside, you should take
measures to protect them from rain or moisture.
SAFETY PRECAUTIONS AND USAGE ENVIRONMENT:
1. Remove all packaging material and any protective film from the device.
2. This product should be placed in a balanced and well ventilated spot and its left and right sides should
be free from obstacles for more than 10cm. It’s back-side should be free from the obstacles (like a wall
etc.) for more than 20cm.
3. During operation, do not place any stuff in front of the appliance to make sure it could be operated at
any time needed.
4. Do not place the appliance on a carpet, a tea towel, tablecloth (vinyl) or another surface that cannot
withstand high temperatures. This could cause fire hazard.
5. Do never cover the appliance with foil; this could cause overheating and therefore danger.
6. Never plug the power cord into an extension cord or wall outlet to which multiple devices are
connected.
7. Never put the plug in the socket with wet hands.
8. When disconnecting the device from the power, never pull from the cord, only the plug.
9. The power pressure of this equipment should conform to the supply voltage of this product.
10. The user should install the suitable power switch, fuse and leakage-protector near to the equipment.
11. Before usage, this equipment must be connected (safe) to a grounded socket.
12. Before starting up, you should check whether the socket you want to use is grounded.
13. Ensure whether all the connections of all the electric elements of the product are firm or not, and
whether the safety grounding is reliable or not.

14. When you change the power cable, you should select the same model cable and: it is only allowed to
let a professional electrician do this.
15. Never use other parts than the ones which are from CaterChef.
CaterChef is not taking any responsibilty for damage caused by the use of other (non-related) parts.
16. If you need to (re)connect, repair or maintain the applaince, do not do this by yourself.
This is forbidden. This must always be done by a professional electrician.
17. If there are any abnormal phenomenons during usage, you must stop the appliance directly.
After checking you can continue to use it as long as it is safe. Do not repair the appliance by yourself.
This should always been done by a technical professional.
18. During operation or cooling down: always keep the appliance out of reach of children.
This, mainly to prevent burning injuries.
DEGREASE:
Before operating for the first time, clean the device with warm water, a wet cloth and a small amount of
detergent. Do not rinse the appliance under the tap, this could cause serious damage to the appliance.

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Never leave the area around the appliance during use.
(Use also includes the cooling down period).
2. Never move the appliance during use.
3. Never touch the inner pan during use.
4. The device should only be used for its intended purpose.
5. Cooling down: After usage the appliance needs to cool down for a minimum time of 30 minutes.
To prevent any burning injuries or other danger, do not touch, move or use the appliance during this
period of time.
6. After usage, turn off the switch.
7. After usage the electricity needs to be cut from the socket to prevent fire hazard.
This to prevent short circuit or danger.
8. When you move the product from its place, always pick it up from the lower side of the appliance.
Never pick it up from the upper side (baking tray) to prevent any damage to the appliance.
9. Do not touch the high temperature areas like steam hole or it will cause scald.
10. Attached aluminium cover can be removed for cleaning.
When the silicon cup falls off, please press it back in the correct direction.
11. Do not open the cover during cooking. This could cause uncooked rice and burning injuries.
USAGE INSTRUCTIONS
1. Correct way for weighing rice.
2. Put the right amount of rice in the inner pot.
3. Wash the rice.
4. Add water following to the water scale line.
5. Close the top cover and turn the power ON.
6. Press “Power” button, the display screen light will illuminate
7. Choose: “Short Grain Rice, Long Grain Rice or Porridge/soup”
8. The rice cooker will countdown the final 10 minutes.
Once rice is finished, the rice cooker will beep and automatically switch to “keep warm”.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE:
Step 1: After usage, the device must first be switched OFF, after which you must remove the plug from the
socket. Always do this in the order described to prevent short circuit or other possible dangers.
Step 2: Clean the parts and the device with warm water, a wet cloth and a small amount of cleaning-
detergent and then dry it thoroughly. Do not use benzine, thinner, scouring brush or polishing
powder to clean the device.
Outer body, Top Cover
1. Clean it by using a dry and soft towel.
2. Do not use kitchen abstergent.
3. Clean the top cover every time after use.
4. The metal on the inside may discolor or stain. This is harmless to health.
Inner pot, inner aluminium cover
1. Clean with a soft cloth or sponge and detergent.

1. Clean with a soft cloth or sponge and detergent.
The heating plate, sensor
1. A grain or dirt adhesion? gently rub with fine sandpaper, then wipe with a dry cloth.
• Pay attention! Do not rinse the device with water (don’t wash it by using the tap).
This could cause damage to the device and could therefore lead to dangerous situations;
• Never clean the device with a stainless steel brush. This causes scratches and damages to the device;
• Use a vacuum cleaner to (gently) remove dirt and debris from the air-ventilation-grille;
• Always store the appliance inside and keep it dry;
• Before maintaining the appliance, always make sure you have removed the plug from the socket.
