En cualquier comunicación con el proveedor/fabricante/departamento técnico deben indicarse el modelo y el número de
serie correctos.
• Los fallos de piezas quedan excluidos de la garantía.

mejorar constantemente la calidad y el diseño de nuestros productos; por consiguiente, nos reservamos el derecho a
modificar las especificaciones de los modelos en cualquier momento.

COCCIÓN DE ARROZ
• Lave el arroz. El salvado del arroz puede hacer que el arroz hervido adquiera un olor poco agradable. Para evitarlo, lave
rápidamente todo el arroz.
• Asegúrese de que haya como mínimo 4 tazas llenas de arroz hervido en el recipiente interior.
• Para evitar un aspecto seco, decolorado y desagradable del arroz hervido, mantenga tanto la tapa externa como la interna
totalmente cerradas.
• No deje el cucharón del arroz ni ningún otro utensilio dentro del recipiente interior durante el ciclo de mantenimiento del
calor.
• No utilice la función de mantenimiento del calor para recalentar el arroz sobrante.
LIMPIEZA
• Apague siempre el aparato, espere a que se enfríe y desenchúfelo antes de limpiarlo.
• No utilice ningún material ni líquido de limpieza abrasivo.
• No utilice un chorro de agua para limpiar.
• El recipiente interior y la espátula se pueden lavar con agua y jabón.
• Utilice un trapo suave con una solución de agua caliente y un poco de detergente para limpiar el cuerpo del producto
eficazmente.
• Extraiga el colector de condensación y límpielo con agua y jabón.
• Al limpiar, evite que el agua entre en contacto con alguno de los controles eléctricos o conexiones eléctricas.
• Es posible que se peguen granos de arroz o residuos a la placa calefactora; si es así, retírelos con una esponja suave.
Asegúrese de que la placa calefactora quede limpia de residuos.
OTROS ASPECTOS DE SEGURIDAD
• El aparato pesa mucho, tenga cuidado al levantarlo.
• Las superficies externas del aparato pueden estar muy calientes mientras está en funcionamiento.
• Asegúrese de que el aparato esté desenchufado y se haya enfriado antes de moverlo o ajustarlo.
• No utilice el aparato si funciona mal o ha sufrido algún tipo de daño.

INSTRUCCIONES DE SEGURIDAD
ADVERTENCIA
Lea y conserve este manual de instrucciones. Guárdelo con otros manuales para que pueda encontrarlos fácilmente
cuando tenga que consultarlos. Este manual contiene precauciones de seguridad básicas que deben respetarse para evitar
lesiones. Lea todas las instrucciones antes de utilizar el producto.

• No modifique el producto.
• No lo lave con un chorro de agua ni lo sumerja en el agua.
• Quite todos los envoltorios y láminas de plástico y limpie el producto a fondo antes de utilizarlo por primera vez.
INSTALACIÓN Y COLOCACIÓN
• Compruebe que la tensión que aparece en la placa de características sea compatible con el suministro eléctrico de su
hogar.
• Instale el aparato en una superficie plana que pueda soportar el peso del producto.
• Asegúrese de que el aparato no provoque ninguna obstrucción.
• No utilice este producto al aire libre.
• Coloque el aparato en una superficie resistente al calor; por ejemplo, de acero inoxidable o formica.
• Comunique a todo el personal que la superficie exterior del aparato eléctrico se calienta.
• Colóquelo en un lugar bien ventilado donde el aparato no tenga que soportar temperaturas extremas ni entornos con
mucha grasa.
• No coloque el aparato en lugares donde el flujo de aire delantero o trasero quede restringido.
• Asegúrese de que el aparato no esté justo en el recorrido de una salida de aire acondicionado.
• Por motivos de seguridad, el enchufe debe ser accesible en todo momento.
INFORMACIÓN DE SEGURIDAD ELÉCTRICA
• Este producto posee un enchufe de 13 A. Para sustituir el enchufe, siga estas instrucciones:
• cable verde y amarillo a E (tierra)
• cable azul a N (neutro)
• cable marrón a L (fase)
Si tiene cualquier duda con el cableado, póngase en contacto con un electricista cualificado. • Este aparato debe conectarse
a tierra.
• El cable de alimentación eléctrica debe llegar a la toma sin tensarse. • Evite que el cable o el enchufe caigan al agua.
REVESTIMIENTO ANTIADHERENTE CRISTALINO TEFLEX
• Utilice cucharas de madera o espátulas de plástico.
• Para evitar rayas, no utilice materiales abrasivos para limpiar el recipiente interior.
• El revestimiento antiadherente puede perder el color tras varios usos. Esto, sin embargo, no afectará a su rendimiento.
ELIMINACIÓN DE ESTE PRODUCTO
Este símbolo indica que, como proveedores de productos eléctricos, cumplimos las
regulaciones sobre RAEE.
• Este producto no debe eliminarse junto con el resto de residuos del hogar.
• Para evitar posibles daños al medio ambiente o a la salud pública, recíclelo con responsabilidad.
• También puede retornarlo a su distribuidor. Este lo enviará para que sea reciclado de forma respetuosa con el medio
ambiente.

UTILIZACIÓN DEL APARATO
• Mida la cantidad de arroz que desee con la cubeta de medida suministrada con el aparato.
• Pase el arroz lavado al recipiente interior y añada agua. Ejemplo: Para 10 tazas de arroz, añada agua hasta el nivel 10. No
hierva más arroz del permitido por el indicador de cantidad máxima. Limpie la parte inferior externa del recipiente interior. La
proporción de agua puede variar según el tipo de arroz utilizado.
• Asegúrese de limpiar la parte inferior externa del recipiente interior para quitar el arroz que haya podido quedar antes de
colocarlo en el hervidor.
• Introduzca el recipiente interior en el hervidor de arroz y gírelo ligeramente de izquierda a derecha para asegurarse de que
el recipiente interior quede bien encajado en la placa calefactora. Allane el arroz.
• Cierre la tapa hasta que haga clic. Si la tapa no se cierra correctamente, el aparato no funcionará.
• Enchúfelo. Apriete el interruptor y el piloto de cocción «Cooking» se encenderá. • Una vez hervido el arroz, el interruptor
saltará, se oirá un clic, se apagará el piloto «Cooking» y se encenderá el piloto de mantenimiento del calor «Keep Warm».
• Cuando termine el ciclo de cocción, no abra la tapa durante 15 minutos. El arroz quedará más esponjoso.
• Utilice la espátula suministrada con el aparato para no rayarlo.
• E n un lateral está situado un colector de condensación. Dicha pieza canaliza el exceso de humedad del arroz. Para
retirarlo, agárrelo por los laterales y tire de él. Para colocarlo, alinéelo y apriete.

Before starting up, please read this manual carefully in order to ensure the correct and safe installation and
usage. Damage caused by not following the instructions of this manual will always invalidates the warranty.
CaterChef would like to emphasize that this instruction manual needs to be readed carefully before usuge
and should be stored for later use.

TYPE PLATE
The type plate (the picture is an example) is located on the back of the
device. You are requested not to remove it.
The type plate can for example be used to determine, when the item was
purchased (view PO) and from which production line (view SN) it
originates. This information may be essential with regard to warranty.
It also contains important information such as the voltage and power
supply which determines the ability to connect the device safe.
TRANSPORT AND STORAGE:
INDOOR
USE ONLY
As long as the products are packed, please make sure you never place them upside down.
This could damage the appliance. During transport, the product should be placed carefully.
Make sure you prevent any drastic vibration during transport. You should never place or store
this product outside or in open air for a longer period of time than a few hours
(not even packed). It should be stored in a well-ventilated warehouse without corrosive
gasses. When, in case of an emergency, you need to store them temporarily outside, you should take
measures to protect them from rain or moisture.
SAFETY PRECAUTIONS AND USAGE ENVIRONMENT:
1. Remove all packaging material and any protective film from the device.
2. This product should be placed in a balanced and well ventilated spot and its left and right sides should
be free from obstacles for more than 10cm. It’s back-side should be free from the obstacles (like a wall
etc.) for more than 20cm.
3. During operation, do not place any stuff in front of the appliance to make sure it could be operated at
any time needed.
4. Do not place the appliance on a carpet, a tea towel, tablecloth (vinyl) or another surface that cannot
withstand high temperatures. This could cause fire hazard.
5. Do never cover the appliance with foil; this could cause overheating and therefore danger.
6. Never plug the power cord into an extension cord or wall outlet to which multiple devices are
connected.
7. Never put the plug in the socket with wet hands.
8. When disconnecting the device from the power, never pull from the cord, only the plug.

9. The power pressure of this equipment should conform to the supply voltage of this product.
10. The user should install the suitable power switch, fuse and leakage-protector near to the equipment.
11. Before usage, this equipment must be connected (safe) to a grounded socket.
12. Before starting up, you should check whether the socket you want to use is grounded.
13. Ensure whether all the connections of all the electric elements of the product are firm or not, and
whether the safety grounding is reliable or not.
14. When you change the power cable, you should select the same model cable and: it is only allowed to
let a professional electrician do this.
15. Never use other parts than the ones which are from CaterChef.
CaterChef is not taking any responsibilty for damage caused by the use of other (non-related) parts.
16. If you need to (re)connect, repair or maintain the applaince, do not do this by yourself.
This is forbidden. This must always be done by a professional electrician.
17. If there are any abnormal phenomenons during usage, you must stop the appliance directly.
After checking you can continue to use it as long as it is safe. Do not repair the appliance by yourself.
This should always been done by a technical professional.
18. During operation or cooling down: always keep the appliance out of reach of children.
This, mainly to prevent burning injuries.
DEGREASE:
Before operating for the first time, clean the device with warm water, a wet cloth and a small amount of
detergent. Do not rinse the appliance under the tap, this could cause serious damage to the appliance.
In addition, make sure that you have dried it properly before you start operating the device.
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Never leave the area around the appliance during use.
(Use also includes the cooling down period).
2. Never move the appliance during use.
3. Never touch the inner pan during use.
4. The device should only be used for its intended purpose.
5. Cooling down: After usage (and after turning thermostat back to 0 and turning the switch OFF), the
appliance needs to cool down for a minimum time of 30 minutes. To prevent any burning injuries or
other danger, do not touch, move or use the appliance during this period of time.
6. After usage, turn off the switch.
7. After usage the electricity needs to be cut from the socket to prevent fire hazard.
This to prevent short circuit or danger.
8. When you move the product from its place, always pick it up from the lower side of the appliance.
Never pick it up from the upper side (baking tray) to prevent any damage to the appliance.
REGULAR USE
1. Lift the lid. See figure 1

2. Place the rinsed rice in the saucepan and add water. Never cook more than the stated maximum of
5.4 liters. The desired water ratio may vary depending on the type of rice you use.
3. Wipe the cooking pan thoroughly and also check that the inner pan and the heating element do not
contain food residues, dirt or dust. Also check this under the heating element.
4. Place the pan in the rice cooker. Check if the inner pan is properly seated on the heating plate.
5. Then smooth the rice.
6. Before use, check that the condensation-drip-lid (with the rubber facing up against the lid) is properly
mounted on the screw of the lid. See figure 2.

7. Close the lid. You will now hear or feel a click. If the lid is not properly attached, the device will lock
and will not operate.
8. Insert the plug into the socket. Then press the switch down, the cooking indicator light will turn ON
and the keep warm indicator light will remain OFF. See figure 3.

9. When the cooking is finished, the switch automatically pops up. The cooking indicator light will turn
OFF and the keep warm indicator light will turn ON. See figure 3.
10. After the end of the cooking cycle, leave the lid closed for another 15 minutes to improve the quality.
The rice becomes more airy.
11. Use the spatula supplied with the appliance to prevent scratches. See figure 4.

12. There is a condensation-tray on the side. This drains the excess moisture from the rice.
To remove it, hold the sides and gently pull it off. Align and press to fix it. See figure 5.

PAY ATTENTION!
1. Rinse the rice thoroughly. Rice bran can give cooked rice an unpleasant odor.
2. Provide at least 2 liters of cooked rice.
3. To avoid dry, discolored and unpleasant effects of the cooked rice, you must constantly and perfectly
close the lid.
4. Do not leave a rice scoop or other objects in the pan during cooking and the keep-warm cycle.
5. Do not use the keep warm function to reheat leftover rice, this will not improve the quality.
6. Pay attention: Keep your limbs and fingers away from the steam outlet of the lid.
This is very dangerous due to the extremely hot temperature. See figure 6.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE:
Step 1: After usage, the device must first be switched OFF, after which you must remove the plug from the
socket. Always do this in the order described to prevent short circuit or other possible dangers.
Step 2: Clean the parts and the device with warm water, a wet cloth and a small amount of cleaning-
detergent and then dry it thoroughly. Do not use benzine, thinner, scouring brush or polishing
powder to clean the device.
• Pay attention! Do not rinse the device with water (don’t wash it by using the tap).
This could cause damage to the device and could therefore lead to dangerous situations;
• Never clean the device with a stainless steel brush. This causes scratches and damages to the device;
• Use a vacuum cleaner to (gently) remove dirt and debris from the air-ventilation-grille;
• Always store the appliance inside and keep it dry;
• Before maintaining the appliance, always make sure you have removed the plug from the socket.

If the appliance does not work or is damaged, check the following:
1. Whether the plug is in the socket;
2. Whether the plug and / or the cord is damaged.
If it is nr. 2 or if another problem occurs, contact your local dealer or authorized service technician.
According to Waste of Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) directive, WEEE should be
separately collected and treated. If at any time in future you need to dispose of this product
please do NOT dispose of this product with household waste. Please send this product to WEEE
collecting points where available.
