2. Installation
• Connecttheproducttothemainsocketensuringthatthevoltageisthesame
asfoundontheratingplatewhichisfoundonthebackoftheunit.
• Makesuretheunitissafelygroundedbeforeswitchingon.
• Toreplacethepowercord,ensurethatthesametypeofcableisused.This
mustbedonebyaprofessionaltechnician.
• Theinstallationandthemaintenanceofelectricalconnections,shouldbe
donebyaprofessionalcertiedtechnician.
• BEFOREINITIALUSE-Turnthethermostatto300°C.Closethelidandallow
thetoasterto“burnin”forabout30minutes.Youwillnoticesmokeappearing
duetotheinternalprotectivemill-boardburningin.Thisisnormal.
• Inthecaseofnon-stickplates,removethelabelo󰀨thesurfaceandwashthe
platewithsoapywater,“Condition”thesurfacewithathincoatingofoilorfat.
Setthethermostatto240°C.

3. Operating Procedure
• Switchonatmainpower.
• Thethermostatservesason/o󰀨switch.
• Rotatethethermostatknobclockwisetothedesiredtemperature.The
orangeheatindicatinglightwilllightupandtheunitwillstartheating.When
thedesiredtemperatureisreached,theheatindicatinglightgoesoutandunit
switcheso󰀨.Whenthetemperaturedecreasedslightly,theunitwillswitchon
automatically.Thiscyclewillcontinueuntilthethermostatsettingischanged.
• Placebreadontoasterandcloselid.(Butteringbothsidesofthebreadwill
preventitfromstickingaswellasgivingitagoldenbrowncolour)
• Whentoastisready,openthelidandremovetoast.Donnotleavefoodon
theplatesaftercooking.Asacidbuild-upmightdamagetheplates.
• Alwaysswitcho󰀨theunitwhennishedbakingbyturningthethermostatto0
andswitchingo󰀨themainpowerswitch.
Donottouchhotfood,liquidorheatingsurfaceswhileequipmentis
heatingoroperating.Allowthehotsurfacetocoolbeforehandling.

4. Cleaning and Maintenance

beforecleaning.
• Thisapplianceshouldnotbecleanedwithawaterjetorimmersedinwater.
Onlyuseadampclothorspongedippedinsoapywater.Failuretoobserve
thisinstructionmightdamagetheunitandwillvoidthewarranty.
• Wipeo󰀨theappliancewithadryclothandwaitatleast30minutesbeforere-
connectingtothemainpoweroutlet.
• Afatcup,positionedattherearoftheunit,catchesgreaseandshouldbe
cleanedperiodically.Dependingontheusageofthetoaster.
