CAMSAT WIRELESS VIDEO KIT (VT1, 2)
INTRODUCTION
The CAMSAT range of video transmitter receivers are designed for wireless PAL or NTSC video signal
transmission over the radio-link on the ISM 5.8 GHz band. They support 8 channel settings within the range
5725 to 5875 MHz, each setting using an individual channel to avoid interference when using multiple
video/sender receivers. The device supports 1 video channel and 2 audio channels (2 x mono, 1 x stereo).
The VT1 is the 1Km kit
The VT2 is the 2 Km kit
Please note that you will require a 5.8Ghz Broadcast license in the United Kingdom. This can be obtained
through OfCom, Independent regulator and competition authority for the UK communications industries.

The video and audio use a common ground on the VT1 kit. The RG59 connector on the VT1 is for
testing purposes. Connect the outer braid of the RG59 cable to this connection.
Video In/Out
The VT2 has a separate RG59 connection for the video. Connect via an RG59 twist on connector.
Aud/Audio
The Kit has support for stereo audio. If you have mono, you can use either the Left or Right Audio, as
long as you use the same selection each end.

The VT1 allows for connecting the Video signal to an RG59 plug, however this can obstruct the cover without
an elbow joint. You can connect the video using the Vid + and Gnd Vid/Aud on the connector block.
This RG59 can be used to connect a test monitor on the receiver module. If you connect a test monitor to the
RG59 on the transmitter module however (only on the VT1), the video will appear distorted as it is designed as
an input.
VIDEO SENDER/RECEIVER DESCRIPTION
The receiver unit is the unit with the large square antennae. The antennae side of the transmitter is the metal
plate, not the plastic cover side.
