Operating Instructions


Thank you for choosing GOLDAIR. Your GOLDAIR Bathroom Mirror has been designed and
manufactured to high standards of engineering. With proper use and care, as described in
this user manual, you can expect years of service.
Please read these instructions carefully.
•Keep instructions for future reference.
•Use only the voltage specified on the rating plate of the appliance.
•Do not mount appliance close to any heat source.
•Do not operate in areas where petrol, paint or other flammable liquids are used or stored.
•Do not use the appliance to dry clothes.
•Do not insert or allow foreign objects to enter any point of the appliance, as this may cause
an electric shock, fire or damage to the appliance.
•Do not immerse in liquid or allow liquid to run into the interior of the appliance, as this
could create an electrical shock hazard.
•Do not operate after the appliance malfunctions, has been dropped/damaged in any
manner.
•Use this appliance only as described in this manual. Any other use is not recommended by
the manufacturer and may cause fire, electric shock or injury.
•Do not connect the appliance to the electrical supply until completely assembled.
•This appliance is intended for household use only and not for commercial or industrial use.
•This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced
physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience or knowledge, unless they
have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person
responsible for their safety.
•Young children should be supervised to ensure they do not play with the appliance.
•If the external flexible cable or cord of this luminaire is damaged, it shall be exclusively
replaced by the manufacturer or his service agent or a similar qualified person in order to
avoid a hazard.
•The light source contained in this luminaire shall only be replaced by the manufacturer or
his service agent or a similar qualified person.

The mirrors are IP44 so can be installed in Zone 2 or Zone 3 of the bathroom.
This Goldair product is designed only to be used as a fixed product, installed onto the wall. If the
product is installed or used for any other purpose the warranty will be void.
Installation of this product must be completed by a registered electrician.
The unit must be located and installed in accordance with the latest edition of AS/NZS 3000 and
any local regulation information for mounting in damp areas (please consult your local electrician
for information).
The unit must be installed on flat walls.
Installation Location

Approx. 5mm
1. Determine the position where the mirror needs to
be mounted.
2. Measure the distance between the two mounting
brackets on the back of the mirror.
3. Mark the wall where the screws should be
installed. Use a level to ensure the mirror will be
level. It is recommended that the screws be
installed into a timber cross beam for strength.
Remember to take into account that the
Mirror needs to be moved 10mm to the left
or right to lock into position on the screws
when determining where the mounting
screws are installed onto the wall.
4. Drill holes where the wall plugs will be installed
using a drill bit that matches the diameter of the
wall plugs. You do not need to use the wall plugs if
anchoring to timber.
Please check to avoid wires or water pipes
when drilling.
5. Install the wall plugs as required.
6. Install the screws leaving approx. 5mm from the
screw head to the wall.
Ensure the electrical wiring has been installed in the wall to a position behind the mirror
before commencing to install the mirror.
Installation instructions

IMPORTANT NOTE: All electrical work and installation of this product must be performed by a
registered electrician in accordance with the latest edition of AS/NZS 3000.
Ensure power to the circuit to be used has been isolated at the power board before carrying
out any electrical work.
Do not remove the plastic protection cover from each corner of the mirror before the
installation is complete to prevent accidental injury.
Make the electrical connection.
Hang the mirror on the screws and move mirror 1cm horizontal to the left or right to lock
onto the screw.
Once installed and locked in position, remove the plastic protection covers from each corner
of the mirror.
Electrical Installation

Ensure that the mirror has power to it
The mirror is configured with a touch switch which is set on the mirror surface.
The touch switch controls ON/OFF, DIMMING and COLOR
LIGHT ON/OFF
Lightly touch the power switch, the LED light will come on and the switch will illuminate.
Lightly touch the power switch again to turn the light off.
DIMMING
Press and hold (>3s) the power switch (when the led light is on), the brightness of the led light will
change. Release the switch once adjusted to the desirable brightness.
LIGHT COLOUR
2 quick touches (<1s) of the power switch (when the led light is on), the colour of the light will
change between ‘warm white’ and ‘cool white’ and ‘bright white’ with each double touch.
The last selected dimming and light colour will be retained in the memory until manually changed.
DEFOG
Lightly touch the defog switch and the defog switch will illuminate.
Lightly touch the defog switch again to turn off.
The DEFOG function works independently to the light.

Cleaning
Clean the mirror surface with a good quality glass cleaner.
Do not use solvents or harsh chemicals to clean the mirror.

SUPPORT AND TECHNICAL ADVICE

Thank you for purchasing this Goldair product. Your product is warranted against faults and manufacture when
used in normal domestic use for a period of three years. In non-domestic use Goldair limits the voluntary warranty
to three months.
Goldair undertake to repair or replace this product at no charge if found to be defective due to a manufacturing
fault during the warranty period.
This warranty excludes damage caused by misuse, neglect, shipping accident, incorrect installation, or work carried
out by anyone other than a qualified electrical service technician.
PLEASE KEEP YOUR RECEIPT AS THIS WILL HELP VERIFY YOUR WARRANTY.
The benefits given to you by this warranty are in addition to other rights and remedies available to you under law in
relation to the goods or services to which this warranty relates.
In Australia, our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are
entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss
or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality
and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
In New Zealand this warranty is additional to the conditions and guarantees of the Consumers Guarantee Act
(1993).
