Introduction
Congratulations on your purchase of a YESS Range Plus sized Commode from Cefndy
Healthcare. Please ensure you read and understand these instructions in full before use.
Please retain these for future reference.
The range is available in various configurations and sizes to suit your needs.
The plus sized commode range is designed with comfort and hygiene in mind. Available in
soft padded vinyl upholstery or deluxe comfort PU. The
seat clips off the frame to aid cleaning and the joints are
fully welded to reduce bacterial entrapment. This feature
also adds strength to the steel frame, which is finished
in an anti-bacterial powder coat.
Available at a fixed height or with height adjustable at
25mm intervals and the feet are non-slip and non-
marking.
For added convenience all of the commodes are
stackable.

The Commode Range
The YESS Commode range comes in many configurations and variations to suit your need.
All the chairs come with deeply padded vinyl upholstery as standard with an option to
change this for the deluxe PU foam upholstery. Commodes come with a fixed back as
standard, but also have the option of a detachable back.
The pictures below all show the Bariatric size (700mm width). They are all also available in
the smaller Mediatric size (600mm width) and the larger Super-Bariatric (800mm width).
Assembly Instructions
Please note:
When unpacking carefully examine the product to ensure it is complete.
Before use check for any damage. If damaged please contact your supplier and
refrain from using the product.
Do not attempt to use if the product is damaged.
The back may have been located in an inverted position for transit
(Dversions only). If so remove the two safety pin clips located on
the back to the front of the hanging brackets, slightly unscrew the
hand wheels, fully withdraw the back from the brackets. Then rotate
the back to an upright position sliding the back into all four brackets,
insert the safety pin clips & and tighten the hand wheels.

Correct Use –Height Adjustment
Remove the pin clip from the leg individually
Select the height by positioning each extension leg
individually aligning the holes in the extension leg and frame
When the required height is selected refit the pin clip into the
appropriate hole
Repeat the above on the other three legs
Ensuring all four pin clips are fully engaged and check that
all four legs are set to the same height
Correct Use –Detachable Back version only
Unscrew the handle wheels (clockwise) around half one full turn the detachable back
should now slide freely in the locating brackets
Once the desired position is reached retighten (anti-clockwise) the four handle
wheels to lock the back in position
As an added safety feature pin clips are inserted between the hanging brackets to
stop the back from sliding out of the brackets ensure these pin clips are always
inserted when the product in in use
Cleaning (decontamination)
This product is suitable for cleaning followed by disinfection.
Cleaning should be undertaken with a suitable detergent solution either manually or
using an automated washer, always ensure detergent is rinsed then wiped of the
equipment and that the equipment is dry before disinfection.
Disinfection can be either manual or automated
oManual –Use a suitable disinfectant diluted to the correct concentration and
wipe over the equipment. Remove the disinfectant solution with clean water
and dry the equipment.
oAutomated –dependent on local processes as defined by the cleaning
equipment manufacture with emphasis on achievable temperature and
duration.
Note; Polyurethane Upholstery should be cleaned bymanual methods only remove from
the frame if using automated cleaning equipment.

Maintenance Requirements
The product should be checked on a regular basis for damage or wear and tear. Any undue
signs of damage should be noted and reported to the supplier in the first instance. Should
damage be evident, then the user should refrain from using the product until advice has
been sought from the supplier.
Warning
This product is intended for users up to a maximum of 286kg/45stone in weight.
We recommend a full risk assessment is carried out before use. This should include
consideration for the equipment’s intended use, the capacity of the user to safely use
the equipment, the environment in which the equipment is intended to be used and
all other relevant considerations.
It is advised that the frame is checked periodically for signs of wear and tear. Any
problems please report to your supplier immediately.
Warranty
This product frame carries a 5 year warranty and all else has a 12 month warranty from the
date of purchase against manufacturing defects, damage incurred through misuse is not
covered. This warranty does not affect your statutory rights. Do not use in the event of fault
or damage.
This product has been designed, manufactured and independently tested in the UK including
cyclic testing to represent real life usages. The maximum expected product life cycle is 10
years based on the testing requirements of BS ISO 17966:2016 for static strength, impact
and durability.
Disposal Instructions
Appropriate hygiene standards should be applied before disposal to minimise the risk
of infection.
Materials used are non-hazardous and can be disposed of in line with local recycling
policies.
