4.1. Mains Power & Fuse
Power Inlet (1) - In case of loss or replacement of the cable, refer to the following
table which shows the correspondence of the internal wires:
Cable (EU) Pin International
Brown Live L
Blue Neutral N
Yellow/Green Earth
The earth must to be connected! Pay attention to the safety! Before taking into
operation for the rst time, the installation has to be approved by an expert.
Fuse Holder (n.2) - In case you need to replace the fuse, make sure that the appli-
ance is switched off, disconnect the input power plug, and unscrew the fuse holder
cover shown above with a Phillips screwdriver.
CAUTION: Replace the fuse ONLY with one of the same type indicated in the
section “7 - Specication” on page 15 (T10A/250V - 5x20 mm). A lower value
fuse would blow immediately after the rst power on; a higher value would not
act as a fuse in case of anomalous current absorption or short circuit.
WARNING: Always connect the product to a protected circuit (with circuit break-
er). Make sure the machine has an appropriate electrical ground to avoid the
risk of electric shock or re.
WARNING: Never connect the Zephiro Fog 3000 to a rheostat (variable resistor)
or dimmer circuit, even if the rheostat or dimmer channel serves only as a 0 to
100 % switch.
4.2.DMX Connection
DMX Output (5) - Female 3-pin XLR sockets for sending the DMX control signal to
another DMX device.

DMX INPUTS (6) - Male 3-pin XLR sockets for connection to DMX control devices.
DMX machines are designed to receive data through a serial Daisy Chain. A Daisy
Chain connection is where the DATA OUT of one fixture connects to the DATA IN of
the next fixture. The order in which the machines are connected is not important
and has no effect on how a controller communicates to each of them. Use an order
that provides for the easiest and most direct cabling.

male to female connectors. The shield connection is pin 1, while pin 2 is Data Nega-
tive (S-), and pin 3 is Data positive (S+).
CAUTION: Wires must not come into contact with each other; otherwise the x-
tures will not work at all, or will not work properly.
4.3.DMX Terminator
DMX is a resilient communication protocol, however errors still occasionally occur.
In order to prevent electrical noise from disturbing and corrupting the DMX control
signals, a good habit is to connect DMX output of last fixture in the chain to a DMX
terminator, especially over long signal cable runs.
The DMX terminator is simply an XLR connector with a 120Ω (ohm), 1/4 Watt resistor
connected across Signal (-) and Signal (+), respectively, pins 2 and 3, which is then
plugged into the output socket on last projector in the chain. The connections are
illustrated below.
120ohm, 1/4 W

Complimentary signal cable can transmits signals to 20 unit xtures at most.
Signal amplier is a must to connect more xtures.

4.4. 3-Pin vs 5-Pin DMX cables
DMX connection protocols used by controllers and fixtures manufacturers are not
standardized around the world. However, two are the most common standards:
5-Pin XLR and 3-Pin XLR system. If you wish to connect your 5-Pin device to a 3-Pin
XLR input fixture, you need to use an adapter-cable or make it by yourself.
Following the wiring correspondence between 3-Pin and 5-Pin plug and socket
standards

ZEPHIRO 3000FOG can be hanged up in high places (with clamps or couplers, not
included), or placed on the ground.
Keep it in horizontal position, do not tilt or flip. Before connecting this unit to mains,
fill in the tank with fluid. Always use water-based fog fluid and check that nozzle is
clean and unobstructed.
Before connecting to power, check whether mains voltage is suitable for the unit or
not.
Power cord should be plugged into a grounded electrical outlet. Once connected,
put power switch to “ON”, then fog machine start warming up and the built-in indi-
cation LED projects a red light on liquid tank. After warm-up process is complete,
the built-in indication LED turns blue, then fog machine is ready to use.
Connect the supplied wired controller to the fog machine, or use the supplied wire-
less control, in order to use the fog machine.
