Assembly Instructions:
1. Align mounting holes of upper support tube with holes in main support assembly. Use a supplied
¼ carriage bolt and ¼ Nylon locking nut to fasten upper support tube to main support.
DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN. Support tube must be able to rotate freely. (Fig. 1)
See Figure 2 to determine upper and lower support tube.
2. Align mounting holes in upper support tube with adjustment slot in main support assemble.
Use a supplied ¼ carriage bolt and adjustment knob, to fasten tube to main support. (Fig. 1)
3. Repeat steps 1 & 2 for lower support tube.

4. Pass side cam buckle straps through side strap slots on main support assembly side brackets (Fig. 3a),
through slot on trunk hook and cam buckle (Fig. 3b)
5. Thread upper / lower hook straps through cam buckles of main support assembly. (Fig. 3c, 3d)
Note: Take notice to the direction the tag end of the strap is passed through the cam buckles.

Mounting Rack to Vehicle:
1. Loosen lower support tube adjustment knobs and rotate lower support tube to open position.
Tighten adjustment knobs.
2. Rest lower support tube on vehicle bumper, on vehicle license plate, or a vertical portion of boot or
hatch. Find most solid position as possible. DO NOT rest against glass, plastic bumper without support,
vehicle badges, or thin exible sheet metal.
3. Loosen upper support tube adjustment knobs and rotate upper support tube so that it contacts vehicle.
Main support assembly arms should be at a slight angle upwards (10 -20 deg). Tighten adjustment knobs.

4. Using rubber pads supplied, attatch to the inner surface of all hook straps. (Fig. 5)

Mounting Rack to Vehicle continued:
5. Attach upper hook straps to top edge of boot or hatch. If a spoiler is present, straps should be routed
under spoiler if possible. Never attach to glass, plastic or trim. (Fig. 6 STEP 1)
6. Attach lower hook straps to bottom edge of trunk or hatch. Ensure strap is not close to vehicle exhaust.
(Fig. 6 STEP 2)
7. Center rack on vehicle and slowly tighten each strap evenly, alternating as you tighten (top left, lower
right, lower left, top right).
8. Attach side strap hooks to side edge of boot or hatch. Evenly tighten, alternating from side to side.
Ensure that the metal buckle can not come in contact with the vehicle when driving as it will damage
the paintwork. (Fig. 6 STEP 3)
Note: After straps are fully tightened, secure them by tieing the tag end o around the tightened strap.
This will assist straps from coming loose when in transit. (Fig. 7a & 7b)
Perform a manual push and pull test on the rack to ensure it is secure.

Bicycle Loading:
1. Load rst bike so that the gears and de-railer are facing away from the vehicle. Load so that the top
tube of the bicycle rest on the rack cradles. (Fig.8)
2. Use a cradle strap through cradles and over top tube of bicycle. Secure by pressing hook and loop
together. Check to ensure bicycle is secure and unable to jump out of cradle.
3. Load additional bicycles as describe in step 1 & 2, alternating the direction of each.
4. Bicycles should be loaded with heavier bicycles closest to vehicle.
5. Once all bicycles are loaded, secure them all from swaying by using an additional strap/rope. Ensure that
no part of the bike (ie: pedals, frame, steering), is able to come into contact with the vehicle.
Perform a manual push pull test to ensure all bikes and bike rack is secure.
6. Ensure that the rear number plate of the vehicle is still visable. If it is not, it may have to be relocated to
a visible location.

IMPORTANT NOTES:
• This bicycle rack has been designed to carry up to three (3) bikes, as long as the maximum weight on
the rack does not exceed 40 kgs or 90 lbs.
• Vehicles with a severely curved boot or hatch along the top edge should not use this rack. Straps
could slide to the side, causing your rack and bicycles to fall from the vehicle.
• Vehicles with large boot mounted spoilers should not use this rack. If not properly suited the rack will
contact and severely damage the spoiler.
• Vehicles with roof mounted spoilers should not use this rack as straps may cause paint and structural
damage to the spoiler.
• Always check tie down, hook and loop straps and all fasteners for tightness prior to, and at regular
intervals during your trip.
• Replace straps and mounts if they appear worn or frayed.
• Do not use the bike carrier if the rubber bike mounts are damaged.
• Proper tting and installation of this carrier to your specic vehicle is critical, and is the owner’s sole
responsibility.
• Improper use of this product may result in damage to your vehicle, bicycles, or even other vehicles
driving behind you (as a result of colliding with or trying to avoid fallen bicycles and/or the rack).
• When leaving the bike carrier outside for extended periods of time the nish will lose its lustre. It is
recommended that when not in use the rack is stored indoors.
• Take care to add padding on any area of the bikes that may touch another bike or any part of the vehicle.
Damage can and will happen (to your bikes and/or to the vehicle) if care is not taken during the
loading and transporting of your bikes.
• Bicycle tires should be kept at least 15cm away from the exhaust pipes of the vehicle. The high
temperature exhaust exiting from the exhaust pipes is hot enough to melt or damage tires. Keep all
bike tires totally away from the direct exhaust ow.
• Bikes tted with large accessories (such as child carrying seat) will greatly increase the possibility of
interference with mounting to the rack on the vehicle.
• After reading this manual, should you have any additional questions regarding the compatibility,
tting and/or use of this rack, please call your nearest ProSeries® authorized retail dealer or Cequent
Technical Service.
WARNING:
• DO NOT OPERATE YOUR VEHICLE’S BOOT WHILE BIKE CARRIER IS INSTALLED.
• DO NOT USE THIS BIKE CARRIER ON A TRAILER OR 5th WHEEL R.V.
• Improper mounting will void the rack warranty.
• Please check with your relevant local authority regarding laws on rear license plate, lights and turn
signal visibility.
• Damage to bicycles or rack due to ground clearance problems are not covered by warranty.
• Not for o road use.
