ASTRONAUT CEILING INSTALLATION
READ THESE INSTRUCTIONS CLOSELY
Power
1) Do not plug the power transformer into the wall outlet until after the long
run cable is attached as follows: black wire is Ground (-) and white wire is
Positive (+).
2) Do not plug the power cable into the Astronaut until after all source and power
connections are made. The power cable connector is the on-off switch and
if there is not a source cable attached to the speaker, the speaker may emit
loud undesirable noises. Plug in a source, like a DVD, projector or personal
computer rst and then plug the small 5.5mm barrel connector of the power
supply cable into the base of the speaker where indicated. It will only t in
one location.
Source
3) There are 3 mini-jack (3.5mm) inputs on the speaker for accepting multiple
sources of sound. They accept either mono- or stereo jacks and content.
4) Make sure the volume is turned down to an acceptable level before turning
on the source. The Astronaut does not have any internal volume control.
Therefore the volume is controlled by external means from the DVD, VCR, PC,
or projector. External volume controls like mixers and some wall plates can be
used to control volume also.
5) Once source inputs are connected and the power supply cable is connected,
turn on the sound. Be sure to use a high quality recording to fully appreciate
the Astronaut’s awesome performance. Once you are satised with the sound,
notice the source volume level so you can repeat this same sound stage with
the audience in the room. The larger the audience the better it sounds!
