Do not attempt to repair or alter the regulator/
valve for any “assumed” defect. Any modification
to this assembly will void your warranty and create
the risk of a gas leak and fire. Use only authorized
replacement parts supplied by manufacturer.
For Safe Use of Your Plancha and to Avoid
Serious Injury:
• Do not let children operate or play near plancha.
• Keep plancha area clear and free from materials
that burn (i.e. gasoline, propane, or any other
flammable liquid or gas).
• Do not block holes in bottom or back of plancha.
• Check burner flames regularly.
• Never use regulator from this plancha with any
other LP appliance.
• When cooking, the appliance must be on a level
surface in an area clear of combustible material.
• Use plancha only in well-ventilated space.
NEVER use in enclosed space such as carport,
garage, porch, covered patio, or under an over-
head structure of any kind.
• This appliance is not intended for and should
never be used as a heater.
• Use plancha at least 0,6 meter from any
wall or surface. Maintain 3 meter clearance to
objects that can catch fire or sources of ignition
such as pilot lights on water heaters, live electri-
cal appliances, etc..
• Apartment Dwellers: Check with manage-
ment to learn the requirements and fire codes
for using an LP gas plancha in your apartment
complex. If allowed, use outside on the ground
floor with a 0,6 meter clearance from walls or
rails. Do not use on or under balconies.
• Use Outdoors Only
• Read the Instructions before using the appliance
• WARNING: Accessible parts may be very hot.
Keep young children away.
• Do not move the appliance during use.
• Turn off the gas supply at the gas cylinder after
use.

WARNING CAUTION
• Never operate this appliance unattended.
• Never operate this appliance within 10ft (3m)
of any structure, combustible material or other
gas cylinder.
• Never operate this appliance within 25 ft (7.5
m) of any flammable liquid.
• If a fire should occur, keep away from the appli-
ance and immediately call your fire department.
Do not attempt to extinguish an oil or grease
fire with water.
Failure to follow these instructions could result in
fire, explosion or burn hazard, which could cause
property damage, personal injury or death.
• For residential use only. Do not use for
commercial cooking.
• Wear protective gloves when handling partic-
ularly hot components.
• Do not leave appliance unattended. Keep
children and pets away from appliance at all
times.
• Do not use water on a grease fire. Personal
injury may result. If a grease fire develops,
turn knobs OFF and remove LP cylinder.
• Do not leave plancha unattended while
preheating or burning off food residue on HI.
If plancha has not been regularly cleaned, a
grease fire can occur that may damage the
product.
Installation Safety Precautions
• Use plancha, as purchased, only with LP
(propane/butane) gas and the regulator/valve
assembly supplied.
• Plancha is not for use in or on recreational
vehicles and/or boats.
• Do not leave appliance unattended. Keep
children and pets away from appliance at all
times.
Hose Requirements
• Use only approved hose which is certified to
appropriate EN standard and does not exceed
1.5m length. For Finland, the hose length shall
not exceed 1.2m. Before each use, check to
see if hoses are cut or worn. Make sure hose
is not kinked or twisted. Make sure that when
connected hose does not touch any warm
surfaces. Replace damaged hoses before
using appliance. Replace hose as required by
national requirements. Position the appliance
so that the flexible tube is not subjected to
twisting.
Cylinder Placement
• Cylinder cannot be placed under the appli-
ance. Cylinders are to be placed to the side
and rear of the appliance. Cylinders are to be a
maximum diameter of 345mm and maximum
height of 600mm.

LP GAS SAFETY AND CYLINDER CARE
LP (Liquefied Petroleum Gas )
• Is nontoxic, odorless and colorless when produced. For Your Safety ,
LP gas has been given an odor (similar to rotten cabbage) so that it
can be smelled.
• Lp gas is highly flammable and may ignite unexpectedly when mixed
with air.
Gas Cylinders .
• A regulator must be used with this appliance. Use only gas regulator
supplied with your barbeque. If a regulator is not supplied then use
only regulator certified according to EN16129 (Flow rate max. 1.5
kg/h) and approved for your country and gas specified in Technical
Data.
• The cylinder must be installed, transported and stored in an upright
position and should not be dropped or handled roughly.
• When the appliance is to be stored indoors, the gas cylinder must be
disconnected from the appliance.
• When the gas cylinder is not disconnected from the appliance, the
appliance and cylinder must be stored outdoors in a well-ventilated
space.
• The cylinder should never be transported or stored where tempera-
ture can reach 51 °C.
• Cylinders must be stored outdoors out of the reach of children.
• Do not store an LP cylinder in enclosed spaces such as a carport,
garage, porch, covered patio or other building.
Gas Cylinder Installation/Removal
Gas Cylinder Installation:
1. Be sure plancha control valves are in the OFF position.
2. Perform a leak test.
Gas Cylinder Removal:
1. Turn control valves OFF.
2. Allow Plancha to cool.
Additional Safety Considerations
• This appliance must be kept away from flammable materials during
use.
• When changing the gas cylinder, you must be sure the appliance is
kept away from any source of ignition.
• Turn off the gas supply at the gas cylinder after use.
• Avoid kinking the hose.
• Change the flexible hose when national regulations stipulate this as a
requirement.
• Any parts sealed by the manufacturer must not be altered by the user.
• Any modification of the appliance may be dangerous.
• The gas must be turned off at the cylinder when your plancha is not
in use.
• WARNING: Make sure that the cylinder valve is closed when the
plancha is not in use.
• If storing the plancha indoors, first DISCONNECT the gas supply and
store the cylinder outdoors in a well-ventilated space.
• If you do not disconnect the cylinder from the plancha, be sure to keep
both the plancha and the cylinder outdoors in a well-ventilated area.
• Always close the cylinder valve before disconnecting regulator.
• Cylinders must be installed, transported, and stored in an upright posi-
tion.
• IMPORTANT NOTICE: We recommend that you replace the gas hose
assembly on your plancha every five years. Some countries may have
requirements that the gas hose be replaced within less than five years,
in which case that country’s requirement would take precedence.

LEAK CHECKING YOUR PLANCHA
Leak Testing
• During leak test, keep plancha away from open flames or sparks and do
not smoke. Plancha must be leak tested outdoors in a well ventilated
area.
• Leak test must be repeated each time gas cylinder is replaced or after
storage.
Materials needed include clean paint brush and 50/50 soap and water solu-
tion. Use mild soap and water. Do not use household cleaning agents. Dam-
age to components can result.
PROCEDURE
1. Be sure control knobs on plancha to the “OFF” position.
2. Brush soapy solution onto hose connection.
3. See next page for leak check your gas tank connection.
If growing bubbles appear, there is a leak. Retighten connections and repeat
steps 1 and 2.
If you cannot stop a leak, remove gas cylinder from regulator
and check for damaged threads, dirt and debris on regulator
and gas cylinder. Also check to see if anything is obstructing
flow of gas at regulator and gas cylinder openings. Remove any
obstruction that may be found and repeat leak test. If threads
are damaged on either regulator or gas cylinder, replace.
SPIDER ALERT!

If you notice that your plancha is getting hard to light or that
the flame isn’t as strong as it should be, take the time to
check and clean the burner.
In some areas, spiders or small insects have been known to create “flash-
back” problems. The spiders spin webs, build nests and lay eggs in the
plancha’s burner tube obstructing the flow of gas to the burner. The backed-
up gas can ignite in the burner tube. This is known as a flashback and it can
damage your plancha and even cause injury.
To prevent flashbacks and ensure good performance the burner and burner
tube should be removed from the plancha and cleaned before use whenever
the plancha has been idle for an extended period.
IF YOU EXPERIENCE THE FOLLOWING:
1. Smell gas.
2. Burner will not light.
3. A small yellow flame from burner (should be blue).
4. Fire coming from around or behind control knob.
STOP!
IMMEDIATELY TURN OFF GAS AT LP CONTROL KNOBS!
1. Wait for plancha to cool.
2. Use a 0,3m pipe cleaner to clean out the burner tube.

IMPORTANT! - PLEASE READ!
A regulator must be used with this appliance. Use
only the gas regulator supplied with your barbe-
que. If a regulator is not supplied then use only
a regulator certified according to EN16129 (Flow
rate max. 1.5 kg/h) and approved for your country
and gas specified in Technical Data.
For Switzerland Only
There is a danger of fire and explosion with gas ap-
pliances which are equipped with foreign pressure
regulators and are not compatible with the gas
tanks and gas regulators available in Switzerland
Due to the different sealing systems, it is impossi-
ble to properly seal the regulator to the gas tank.
Gas will escape here and can be ignited by flame
or sparks. A life-threatening explosion, and/or
property damage can result. Swiss and German
tanks and regulators cannot be intermixed.
For safety reason, please check your grill regulator
and gas tank connection and make sure it follows
in one of the allowed cases shown in the pictures.
Perform a leak check each time you connect your
grill to the gas tank.

Ignitor Lighting
Do not lean over plancha while lighting.
1. To ignite, push and turn burner control knob slowly (2-3 seconds) to . You should hear
the ignitor click.
2. If ignition does NOT occur in 5 seconds, turn the burner control knob to OFF, wait 5
minutes and repeat the lighting procedure.
3. If ignitor does not work, follow match lighting instructions.
Match Lighting
1. Remove plancha and set aside. Be sure plancha is cool before handling it.
2. Place lit match into the firebox next to burner, see Fig. A below.
3. Turn the burner control knob to setting.
4. If ignition does NOT occur in 5 seconds, turn the control knob to OFF, wait 5 minutes
and repeat the lighting procedure.

Light burner. Make sure burner stays lit while rotating the burner control knob from to LOW.
Always check flame prior to each use.

Before Cooking For The First Time
• Leak test your plancha. Operate plancha for 15 minutes with
the plancha controls on HIGH. This will heat-clean internal
components and eliminate odor from paint finish of plancha.
Turning Plancha Off
• After cooking, turn the plancha off by rotating the control knob
to OFF. Control knob should pop up in the OFF position.
If control knob does not pop up, disconnect cylinder to turn
plancha off and replace the Valve/Manifold assembly.
• Allow plancha to cool completely before storing.
Storing Your Plancha
• Allow plancha to cool completely.
• Remove LP Cylinder and install protective cap over outlet
threads.
Turn controls OFF and disconnect LP cylinder when not in use.

Cleaning the Burner Assembly
Follow these instructions to clean and/or replace parts of burner assembly or if you
have trouble igniting plancha.
1. Turn gas off at control knobs and remove LP cylinder.
2. Remove plancha plate.
3. Remove hardware securing burners.
4. Detach electrode from burner.
5. Detach flame sensor from burner.
6. Carefully lift each burner up and away from valve openings.
We suggest three ways to clean the burner tubes. Use the one easiest for you.
• Bend a stiff wire (a light weight coat hanger works well) into a small
hook. Run the hook through each burner tube several times.
• Use a narrow bottle brush with a flexible handle (do not use a brass wire
brush). Run the brush through each burner tube several times.
• Wear eye protection: Use an air hose to force air into the burner tube
and out the burner ports. Check each port to make sure air comes out
each hole.
7. Wire brush entire outer surface of burner to remove food residue and dirt.
8. Clean any blocked ports with a stiff wire such as an open paper clip.
9. Check burner for damage due to normal wear and corrosion, some holes may
become enlarged. If any large cracks or holes are found, replace burner.
VERY IMPORTANT: Burner tubes must re-engage valve openings. See illus-
tration below.
10.Attach electrode to burner.
11.Attach flame sensor to burner
12.Carefully replace burners.
13.Attach burners to brackets on firebox.
14.Reposition plancha plate.
15.Before cooking again on plancha, perform a “Leak Test” and “Burner Flame
Check”.

CARE AND MAINTENANCE OF YOUR PLANCHA
GREASE CUP
The Grease Cup has a capacity of 475 ml and should be
emptied after each cook session. Depending on the foods
you are cooking, this grease cup can fill up quickly. Care
should be taken when emptying the cup, it is preferred
to empty the grease once it is cooled down, as both the
grease cup and the grease will be very hot during and
immediately following your cook session. If you find that
the grease cup is getting full mid-cooking, you should use
a heat proof glove to carefully remove and empty the cup.
The grease cup can be washed with warm, soapy water
but should not go into the dishwasher.
