ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
NOTE: This Solar Panel comes completely assembled, but requires installation.
WIRING INSTRUCTIONS
NOTE: This Solar Panel produces direct current when in the presence of sunlight. The
amount of electricity produced increases as the sunlight becomes stronger. Less
amperage is produced in less sunlight, but this panel will generate electricity even
on cloudy days. This Solar Panel may be used to power small 12 volt items directly,
such as lights or small motors. It may also be used to trickle charge 12 volt storage
batteries, such as car or boat batteries. Multiple panels can be wired together for
use in residential or commercial solar power systems.
NOTE: If you are not familiar with wiring an electrical product such as this Solar Panel,
then use of a certified electrician is recommended.
A weatherproof Connector Box is attached to the back of each solar panel. There1.
is a red (positive) (+) wire and a black (negative) (-) wire coming out.
MOUNTING THIS SOLAR PANEL
This Solar Panel is constructed of shock resistant glass mounted in a sturdy alumi-1.
num frame. It is rugged and durable.
For optimum operation, mount your Solar Panel in a place that is exposed to maxi-2.
mum sunlight and protected from damage.
Mounting hardware is not supplied but here are some suggestions for effective3.
mounting.
Do not drill through the aluminum frame. You may damage the frame or breaka.
the glass. Devise brackets, clamps or a frame to hold the Solar Panel snugly
as a unit.
Use semi-flexible bumpers under the Panel to protect it from being crushed, andb.
to allow air to circulate under the Panel.
Route the Wire in a way that it will not be exposed to excessive moisture, heat,c.
or any corrosive or damaging conditions.

INSPECTION, MAINTENANCE, AND CLEANING
WARNING! Make sure the Solar Panel is unplugged from its electrical outlet
before performing any inspection, maintenance, or cleaning procedures.
Periodically inspect the general condition of the Solar Panel. Check for broken Glass,1.
damaged electrical wiring, or any other condition that may affect its safe operation.
If anything abnormal is discovered, have the problem corrected before further use.
Do not use Solar Panels that are damaged in any way.
Do not leave this panel unattended and attached to any appliance, light or motor2.
which may cause injury or damage if it operates without supervision.
Keep the Solar Panel clean. Wipe it occasionally with a damp cloth using mild de-3.
tergent. Do not use abrasive cleaners. Dirt on the glass will reduce the capacity of
the panel to receive sunlight.
