Feeders
The most efcient water softener media are resin
beads honeycombed with microscopic pores. As raw
water passes through the medium impurities are
deposited around the resin beads and in the pores.
The brine bath removes the impurities but, alone,
can't penetrate the pores or remove iron and slime
deposits.
RES-UP CLEANER is formulated to penetrate bead
pores and loosen up and oat away iron and other
impurities. Res-Up Cleaner will also keep softener
components and control valve parts free of build-ups
which impair proper functions.
RES-UP FEEDER is a programmed feeder which
meters the proper amount of Res-Up Cleaner each
time the resin bed is regenerated. The Res-Up Feeder
can be programmed for the size of the resin bed and
the amount of iron and impurities in the raw water.

Res-Up® Feeders
1. Remove brine tank cover.
2. Attach bracket to Res-Up
Feeder (plastic container)
and position in brine tank
next to brine well as shown
in Figure 1 on the front of
this sheet.
3. Drill two 1/4” holes in brine
tank, under rim for brackets.
Drill a 5/8" hole in brine well
cap for Feeder.
4. Remove Feeder and ll to top
with water so the lter stone
tube and wick are immersed.
Allow to soak for 15 minutes
or more.
5. Empty container and pull
tubing until stone is upright,
and resting in bottom of
stone well.
6. Insert free end of tube into
brine well cap. This end of
the tube must be below the
bottom level of the Feeder.
7. Reinstall Feeder and bracket.
8. Fill plastic container with
Res-Up®Cleaner to the "Fill
Line" on label.
9. Replace cover on container
and automatic feeding will
occur within a few hours.
10. On S6306 Clear 1.0 oz
there is no lter stone.
Make sure knotted wick end
is at bottom of container.
Note: Res-Up is not to be used with Gel Zeolite. In the event the resin bed is initially contaminated you may add quantities of
Res-Up cleaner directly into the brine well to start the cleaning action immediately.

Recommended Dosages:
For heavily fouled softener
beds use 3-4 oz per cubic
foot for initial cleanup. For
preventive maintenance,
use 1⁄2-1 oz per cubic foot
per regeneration.
