WaveSmart®Optical Splitter Staging Plate
Installation Manual _________________________________________________________
One splitter: Insert the staging plate horizontally,
with foam cradle in place, into the staging area at
the top of the cabinet.
Two splitters: Remove foam cradles from staging
plates, and place foam strips. Insert staging plates
vertically into staging area at top of cabinet.
WaveSmart Ruggedized and HD
Splitters will now come with adapters
housed in Cleareld’s new Staging
Plate, designed for ease of installation
and enhanced density capabilities.
WaveSmart Splitters will ship with a
foam cradle surrounding the staging
plate which, depending on the
application, can be removed and
replaced by foam strips which slide over
the tabs on each end of the staging
plate.

Replacing Foam Cradle with Foam Strips:
144/288/576/1152 PON Cabinets:

FxDS PON Insert:96 PON Pedestal Insert:
Insert the staging plate, with foam cradle in place,
into the staging area at the top of the FxDS PON
insert.
Insert the staging plate, with foam cradle in place,
into the staging area at the bottom of the PON
pedestal insert.
Remove foam cradle from staging plate. Staging
plate will bend into place in staging area at top.
Clip off tabs to t two staging plates.

432 PON Cabinet:
Insert the staging plate, with foam cradle in place,
into the staging area at the top of the cabinet.
Staging area will hold two staging plates.
