Read all instructions carefully before installing your new Cobra®product!
1. If the motorcycle is equipped with rear reflectors than they must be removed along with any remaining
adhesive left on the motorcycle. Save the reflectors for reuse.
2. Remove the front bolt from the right side fender rail and discard. NOTE: Remove only one side of
fender bolts at a time otherwise fender may fall - resulting in possible scratches or damage to
fender/paint.
3. Remove the rear turn signal 5/16” bolt and star washer from the inside of the fender. Save the star
washer and bolt for later reuse. NOTE: Extra clearance may be needed between rear tire and fender
to remove bolt from turn signal.
4. Remove the fender nut plate from the inside of the fender. See Figure 1.
5. Install right sissy bar mounting bracket between the fender rail and fender (part # facing inward).
NOTE: Be careful not to scratch the fender paint when positioning the sissy bar mounting bracket.
Make sure turn signal wiring passes through the cutout (slot). Align the front and rear holes in the
sissy bar bracket with the fender rail/chrome cover and replace the fender nut plate. See Figure 1.
6. Insert a supplied 3/8”-16 x 1¼” buttonhead bolt through the front hole of the chrome cover/fender rail,
sissy bar mount bracket, and fender; thread the bolt into the stock fender nut plate. DO NOT
TIGHTEN AT THIS TIME.
7. From the inside, insert the stock 5/16” bolt (with stock star washer) through the rear hole of the nut
plate, fender, sissy bar mount bracket, and chrome cover/fender rail; thread the bolt into the turn
signal. DO NOT TIGHTEN AT THIS TIME.
8. Repeat Steps 2–6 on left side.
9. Install the sissy bar between the brackets using the four (4) supplied M8 x 16mm buttonhead bolts.
10. Align sissy bar and torque all bolts to their appropriate values. Attach the rear reflectors onto the
chrome covers.
To clean your black accessory use a liquid based soap detergent, such as dishwashing soap applied with a soft cloth and
rinse with clean water. Note: Avoid abrasive cleaning methods such as granular or dry cleansers, simple green, Scotch-
Brite or steel wool pads. Abrasives may breach the coating and shorten life.
