managing ingredient cartridges and trays
SmartPAK™ (paperboard) cartridges are lightweight,
recyclable, and designed to optimize backroom
storage space. Push & Click Ingredient Trays
Inventory & Quick Replacements:
• Be prepared during rush periods! Place fast moving ingredient cartridges
in extra trays and stage near dispenser for fast change outs.
• Use your oldest ingredient cartridges on hand first, i.e.
“FIRST-IN ~ FIRST-OUT.”
• Always ensure ingredient cartridges are
organized by “enjoy by dates” to eectively
manage inventory.
Storage Conditions:
• Avoid placing cartridges and plastic
trays near any heat source, standing
water, or cleaning solutions.
Cleaning Trays:
• Black plastic cartridge trays should
be ‘hand washed’ only. Use detergent
cleanser, followed by Kay 5 sanitizer
or approved equivalent and allow to
air dry. NEVER PLACE IN A
DISHWASHER. Placing trays in a
dishwasher may warp the trays over time.
Some outlets will convert to an updated Push & Click ingredient tray.
To install these new trays follow the instructions below:
Prior to installation, hand wash trays using only detergent cleanser
and Kay-5 sanitizer or an approved equivalent.
Replace each cartridge one at a time. This is crucial to ensure
ingredient cartridges remain in the proper slot.
Open the cartridge door and remove the cartridge tray.
If you’re installing a Push & Click Tray, remove the cartridge door
and thoroughly clean the cartridge slot and probe (see page 7).
Remove the ingredient cartridge from the existing tray and swap
into the new Push & Click tray. Then, insert the cartridge into the
slot and push until you hear the white latch click into place.
Once you install the new ingredient trays, close the dispenser door.
On the Dashboard screen, select “Prime All.”

• Always remove and replace ONE CARTRIDGE at a time to avoid
inserting it into the incorrect slot.
• Black plastic cartridge trays should be “hand washed” only using detergent
cleanser and Kay-5 sanitizer or an approved equivalent and NEVER PLACED IN A
DISHWASHER. Placing trays in a dishwasher may warp the trays over time.
• Staging of ingredient cartridges and plastic trays for your most
popular brands and flavors will make the cartridge change-out
process more efficient and avoid delays during peak periods.
• Never stack cartridges more than six (6) high.
• Always rotate ingredient cartridges after each delivery.
• Always use your oldest ingredient cartridges on hand first,
i.e. “FIRST-IN ~ FIRST-OUT”.
• Avoid placing cartridges near any heat source, standing water,
or cleaning solutions.
Proper handling of the ingredient cartridges and plastic
trays is extremely important to ensure proper operation
of the Coca-Cola Freestyle® 91OO dispenser.

How to check/fill ice
Maintaining the proper ice level is critical
to ensuring your guest receives a quality

ice bin by following the steps illustrated below:
Fill a clean bucket with ice.
Safely lift and remove ice bin lid.
Dump the ice in the ice bin and fill until full.

How to properly clean the
Coca-Cola Freestyle® nozzle
Locate the nozzle. Using a clean cloth to protect
your fingers, twist nozzle counter-clockwise, and
then pull down to remove.
Scrub the nozzle at a 45 degree angle with
detergent cleanser using an approved nozzle
brush (Coke part# 954412).
Rinse the nozzle in warm, clean, drinkable water.
Place the nozzle in a prepared sanitizer solution
(Kay-5 or approved equivalent sanitizer) shake
nozzle tip when submerging to remove any air
bubbles and soak the nozzle in the sanitizer
solution for no more than 5 minutes. CAUTION: DO
NOT SOAK NOZZLES OVERNIGHT!
Rinse using the rest of the sanitizer solution, scrub
underneath the nozzle ring area (area where the
nozzle connects) using a nozzle brush at a 45°
angle or a clean cloth. Scrub the nozzle upper ring
and inner body using wire handled and thick
bristled nozzle brush. Allow to sit for 2 minutes.
Repeat.
Allow the nozzle to “AIR DRY”, then use
a clean cloth to reinstall nozzle and lock into
place turning clockwise. Take extra care to ensure
the nozzle is inserted completely
and locked into place.
