Maintaining Your Post Mix System
If you are able to complete a weekly pour it will prevent having to complete a 10 step restart procedure

Back End - Cellar Equipment
Turn on the water
supply to the
equipment
Turn on the electrical
supply to the
equipment
Check & turn on the
C02 supply
Ensure syrups boxes
aren’t empty & are
connected
Allow system to
stabilise for 5
minutes
Ensure all nozzles
and diffusers are in
place
Once per week –
Pour a total of 6
pints (from all heads)
of each brand and
discard
Repeat weekly by turning the CO2 back on & completing steps 3-5
Turn OFF C02 supply,
leaving electric &
water ON
Shutdown
Front End –Tower or Heads
Leave syrup boxes
connected
Clean nozzles /
diffusers & wipe
down head

Shutting Down Your Post Mix System
If you are unable to complete a weekly pour to maintain the system
Back End - Cellar Equipment
Clean nozzles,
diffusers & drip trays
in line with the
cleaning guide
Clean the valves,
refit nozzles &
diffusers. Do not
leave to soak in
water
Front End –Tower or Head
Turn off the water
supply to the post
mix equipment
Turn off the CO2
supply to the
equipment
Turn off the
equipment at the
electrical supply

1. Items you will need to complete the restart process.
2. Check and turn on the CO₂ supply.
3. Turn on the mains water supply.
4. Reset the carbonator/cooler.
5. Cleaning Bag in Box connectors and checking best before dates.
6. Replenish Carbonated water.
7. Replenish in date Bag in Box.
8. Replenish out of date Bag in Box.
9. Cleaning the dispense heads.
10.Final quality check before serving.

•Coca-Cola Work Out Kit
•Small brush
•Paper towels
•Pair of Scissors
•Clean cloths
•CO₂ bottle
•Measuring Jug and Bucket
•New Bag in Box (if required)
•Personal Protective
Equipment
Items you will need to complete
the restart process. Check and turn on
the CO₂ supply
Turn on the mains
water supply
Turn on the CO₂
Check gauge goes to approx. 600psi
Turn on isolator valves (straight down)
Only turn on valves that have a grey pipe
connected to them
Locate the mains water supply valve
Turn it to the on position

Reset Cooler/Carbonator
Locate the carbonator, it may be standalone
as shown below, or built into your cooler
To reset, switch off the mains power for 5
seconds and switch back on
Clean Bag in Box
Connectors
Check that the Bag in Box is in
date, remove any that are out of
date
Clean connectors in clean warm
water
Re-connect in date Bag in Boxes
6Replenish carbonated
water
Go to the dispense point that is farthest
away from the cooler and dispense 15
ltrs of carbonated water
Pour a further 2 ltrs of carbonated
water from all other dispense
points

dispense 1 ltr of product
Pour a further 1 ltr of each
product water from all other
dispense points
You will need:
•10 ltrs of clean water in a
bucket
•A pair of scissors
•An old Bag in Box
•Small container/jug of warm
water
To get water into the system
first cut the connector neck out
of the old Bag in Box
Clean the Bag connector in the warm
water and attach to the out of date syrup
line you wish to flush (it’s best to start
with a dark syrup like Coke)
Place connector into the water

Replenish out of date syrup

Pour from the dispense point until
you can see that the syrup is flowing
correctly. Repeat for all other out of
date syrups.
Now connect a fresh syrup Bag
in Box to the line
Go to the dispense point
farthest from the cooler and
pour product until it flows
clear. Make a note of how
much volume was dispensed
and use this as a guide when
flushing clear syrup, such as
Sprite.
You will need:
Container of warm water
Daily Workout kit
Paper towels
Remove the nozzles and diffusers and
clean in the warm water

You will need:
Clean Coca-Cola glass
A temperature probe/thermometer
Pour the first drink and discard it
Pour a second drink and test for a
temperature of <5ᵒC
Pour a third drink and check for taste
and carbonation.
Wipe over the covers and
display with a damp cloth
making sure that power is
switched off.
Refit the drip tray and cup rest
Note:
Allow systems to stabilise and
cool for at least 4 hours before

Dry with the paper towel and replace

thoroughly in a sink. Remove the nozzle
and wash/brush in the warm water.

Take the Bar gun and clean the
diffuser in the warm water
Dry with the paper towel and replace
the nozzle
You will need:
Clean Coca-Cola glass
A temperature probe/thermometer
Pour the first drink and discard it
Pour a second drink and test for a
temperature of <5ᵒC
Pour a third drink and check for taste
and carbonation.
Wipe over the bar clamp mount,
the display font and the hose
with the clean damp cloth
Refit the drip tray and cup rest
Note:
Allow systems to stabilise and
cool for at least 4 hours before
