Safety
• Theproduct may be used by children of 8 years and above
and by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental
capability or lack of experience and knowledge provided they
have been given supervision or instruction concerning use
of theproduct in asafe way and understand thehazards
involved.
• Never let children play with theproduct.
• Cleaning and maintenance may be carried out by children but
only under adult supervision.
• Theproduct must always stand upright.
• Theproduct is only intended for normal domestic use and
only in themanner described in this instruction manual.
• Never sit, cover or place foreign objects on theproduct.
• Make sure that therubber plug in thedrain hose hole is
securely in place before turning theproduct on if it is not to be
used for continuous dehumidification.
• Make sure that theair filter is clean and correctly fitted before
turning theproducton.
• Never use theproduct if themains lead, plug or any other part
is damaged or does not work properly.
• Never try to dismantle or repair theproduct yourself.
• If theproduct needs to be used with anextension lead or
trailing socket, make sure that thelead used is suitable for
use with theproduct.

• Never plug in or unplug theproduct with wethands.
• Never insert foreign objects into theopenings in theproduct.
• Unplug theproduct immediately if it emits strange noises,
odours orsmoke.
• Unplug theproduct immediately if it tips over or if it is
splashed withwater. Contact aqualified service technician
before using theproductagain.
• Theproduct must not be covered in anyway. Makesure
that no foreign objects cover or block theair inlet/outlet.
Blockages can lead to fires, electric shocks or damage to
theproduct.
• Never use theproduct in areas where flammable liquids/
materials or gases (petrol, solvents, gas cylinders) are stored
orused.
• Unplug theproduct when it is not inuse.
• Never use themains lead plug for turning theproduct on
oroff. Usethepower switch on theproduct.
• Before theproduct is moved, make sure it is switched off,
unplugged and that thewater tank isempty.
• Never expose theproduct to running/splashing water or other
liquids. Liquid coming in contact with electrical components
can be extremely hazardous.
• Do not place theproduct where there is arisk of it falling into
water or other liquid. Donot place any objects which contain
liquid onto theproduct such as vases, drinks,etc.

Product description
This dehumidifier is adesiccant dehumidifier and can be used for drying air at tempe-
ratures in therange 1–40 °C. as opposed to anormal refrigerant dehumidifier which
works best at temperatures of 15°C andabove. Here’s how itworks:
1. Cold and damp air is passed through arotor which contains amoisture-adsorbent
desiccant material.
2. Themoisture is vaporised with thehelp of aheater and then passes through
acondenser where it is transformed intowater.
3. Thewater is either collected in atank or ahose is attached, inside diameter 10mm
(sold separately), between thedehumidifier and adrain (continuous dehumidification).

10. Timer setting indicators: If 8 hours is selected as thetimer setting, theindicator
shows 4 hours when 4 hours is remaining and 2 hours when 2 hours is remaining.
If4 hours is selected as thetimer setting, theindicator shows 2 hours when 2
hours is remaining.
11. Press repeatedly to select thetimer setting: 2, 4, or 8hours. Aftertheset time
has passed, thedehumidifier shuts off automatically.
12. Press repeatedly to adjust theair outlet louvre oscillation setting:
- 0–60°
- 30–90°
- Stop (thelouvre slats stop in theposition they are in when thebutton is pressed)

Placement
• Do not use thedehumidifier in aroom in which
thetemperature might fall to below 1°C.
• Make sure that thedehumidifier is standing
firmly on aflat surface capable of supporting
its weight even when thewater tank isfull.
• Make sure that themains lead is easily
accessible and is not damaged by sharp
edges or is crushed in any way duringuse.
• Thedehumidifier should be placed where it
can draw in air from theentirehouse.
• All interior doors should be opened.
Closeexterior doors and windows.
• If any part of your house suffers from severe
humidity, thedehumidifier can be placed
there first and then moved to another part of
thehouselater.
• Never place thedehumidifier next to
aradiator or heating appliance.
• Position thedehumidifier where theair can
circulate freely, allow at least 60cm of air
space above thedehumidifier and 40cm
around thesides.
Operating instructions
Note: Thefan runs at different speeds depending on thedehumidificationmode.
Whentheset threshold value has been reached thefan runs at maximum speed for
3minutes to enable all theheat and water to be pumpedout.
Example: Ifthedehumidifier was set to (medium) and therelative humidity
has reached approx. 60%, which is thethreshold value for themedium setting,
thefan speed will increase to maximum and thedehumidifier will continue to run for
3minutes. Thedehumidifier will then automatically switchoff.
1. Plug themains lead into awall socket.
2. Press to switch thedehumidifieron.
3. Make sure that thewater tank is pushed all theway in and positioned correctly.
Ifthetank is fitted incorrectly thedehumidifier will indicate that thetank is full and
will not work properly.
4. Select asetting as directed in theButtons and functions sectionabove.
5. Press again to turn thedehumidifieroff. Donot unplug thedehumidifier from
thepower point until thefan has stopped.

Note:
• Humidity is low during thewinter/spring. Ifthedehumidifier does not remove any
water it might be because thehumidity level is alreadylow.
• Make sure that therubber plug in thedrain hose hole is securely in place before
turning thedehumidifier on if it is not to be used for continuous dehumidification.
• Remember to empty thewater tank before moving thedehumidifier.
• Never use thedehumidifier without theair filter inplace.
• If thedehumidifier is switched off unintentionally such as by apower cut it will
automatically switch back on once thepower is restored.
Emptying the water tank
Note: Waitawhile before pulling thewater tank out once theindicator (14) has come on
and thedehumidifier has switched off so that all thewater has achance to dripdown.
1. When thewater tank is full theindicator (14) comes on and thedehumidifier
automatically switchesoff.
2. Carefully remove thewater tank, take thelid off and empty out thewater.
3. Clean and dry thetank and put thelid backon.
4. Slide thetank back intoplace. Thedehumidifier will automatically start
workingagain.
Continuous operation
When thedehumidifier is used in anenvironment with high humidity, thewater tank
will need emptyingoften. Insuch circumstances, it could be more practical to run
thedehumidifier continuously.
1. Remove therubber plug covering thedrain hose connection (7).
2. Connect adrain hose with aninside diameter of 10mm (sold separately).
Makesure that thedrain hose is secure and tight to prevent leakage.
3. Theother end of thedrain hose should be inserted into adrain which is lower than
thedrain hose connection on thedehumidifier.
4. Position thehose in such away that thewater can drain freely. Avoidkinking and
pinching thehose.
5. To discontinue continuous operation, switch thedehumidifier off, unplug it and
disconnect thedrainhose.
6. Re-insert therubber plug into thedrain hose connection.
7. Plug themains lead back in and switch thedehumidifier onagain.

Care and maintenance
Cleaning
• Always switch off and unplug thedehumidifier from thewall
socket before cleaningit.
• Clean theexterior of thedehumidifier using alightly
moistenedcloth. Useonly mild cleaning agents, never
solvents or corrosive chemicals. Washand rinse out
thewater tank at regular intervals. Makesure that it is
wipeddry before refittingit.
Filter
If thefilter is very dusty, it should be removed and vacuum
cleaned (see fig.).
Storage
Before putting thedehumidifier away for storage, make
sure that it is unplugged and that thewater tank is empty
anddry. Thedehumidifier should be stored in adry, dust-free
environment out of children’sreach.
Troubleshooting guide
Thedehumidifier
won’tstart.
• Make sure that themains lead is properly plugged in and
that there is power in thewall socket.
• Thewater tank is full or incorrectly fitted.
• Thehumidity is alreadylow.
Thehumidity is
not reducing.
• Thedehumidifier has not been used long enough.
• Make sure that nothing is preventing theair in theroom
where thedehumidifier is used from circulating properly.
• Make sure that no outdoor air can enter theroom in which
thedehumidifier is beingused.
• Theambient temperature is below 1°C.
• Is there aheat source in theroom which is raising
thehumidity?
Unusual
noises emitted
duringuse.
• Make sure that theair filter isclean.
• Thedehumidifier is tilted or standing on anuneven surface.
