Before initial use
Thoroughly clean all parts before using theblender for thefirst time.
Refer to theCare and maintenance section.
Assembly
1. Prevent unintended starts by pulling out theplug from themains before attaching
theblade assembly and glass jug to themotor unit. Check that thefunction
selector is in the0position.
2. Place theglass jug onto themotor unit. Line the symbol up with the▲ symbol.
3. To lock theglass jug in place, twist it clockwise until the▲ symbol lines up with
the symbol.
4. Fit thelid onto theglass jug.
Operating instructions
Plug themains lead into anelectrical socket
and switch thecompletely assembled
blender on by turning thefunction selector
to anappropriate setting for thecontents
of thejug:
• P – The pulse setting only runs as
long as theselector is held on theP
mark. Adapt thelength of pulse to
theconsistency of thejug’s contents.
This setting can be used for crushing
ice or items requiring alot of power.
• 0 – Off
• 1 – 5 – Lowest to highest speed.
Turn thefunction selector to 0and unplug
theblender after use.
Important:
• Never run theblender for more than 3 minutes at atime. Let themotor cool down
for afew minutes before using it again.
• Never run theblender empty.
• If frozen ingredients are to be blended, they must be blended immediately after
they have been placed in thejug. Otherwise there is arisk that theingredients will
freeze together and jam theblades.
• Do not fill thejug with hot liquid as thepressure build-up in theblender can be too high.
• Never shake theglass jug while using theblender. If ingredients get stuck on
thesides of thejug, shut off theblender and use aspatula etc. Do not start
theblender again before you have properly replaced thelid.
• The glass jug can withstand contents having temperatures of up to 60 °C.
Do not subject theglass jug to sudden changes in temperature as this might
cause theglass to crack.
