Comfort audio Duett User manual

...continued from page 2
Using Comfort Duett to amplify the sound of an electronic source:
Place the Comfort Duett in the base unit. Slide the mode selector on the
Comfort Duett to the top position ”MIC/TV”. Adjust the volume to a
suitable level.
When the Comfort Duett is lifted from the base unit it will automatically
switch to MIC mode and work as a communicator. It is therefore easy to
switch between amplification of the television and amplification of a
conversation, as shown in the pictures above.
When using Comfort Duett in the base unit amplifying a sound source, it
is also being charged at the same time.
It is possible to connect the cables from the television/other sound
source directly into Comfort Duett communicator unit. Connect plug (B)
into the socket at the top right corner of Comfort Duett. Please note that
the Comfort Duett will not be charged when not placed in the base unit.

The television kit comes with 2 different cables. The type of audio out
jack on your TV determines which cable to use.
Installation guide:
Place the base unit on a table and connect the power supply cord to a
working electrical outlet and to the DC power jack on the left side
of the base unit. To wall mount the base unit, see the Comfort Duett
User Manual.
Connect plug (B) on the 30 feet cable into the jack on the right side of the
base unit. We recommended you place the cable along the walls from the
television; see the picture on the opposite page.
There are 2 different ways to connect the television to Comfort Duett.
Try first the recommended way, alternative 1).
1) If the television (or other sound source) has a ”Line out” in the back or
front, connect the two plugs (A) on the 30 feet cable into that jack. When
possible, match colors. The sound level from the television/sound source
is generally fixed and is adjusted on the Comfort Duett.
2) If the sound source is lacking the ”Line out” jack, then connect the two
female plugs on short cable (C) with the two male plugs (A) on the 30 feet
cable. Connect the male plug on cable (C) into the headphone jack on the
television/other sound source.
Note: It is common that the loud speakers will be disconnected
(no sound) on the television/other sound source when a plug is
connected to the headphone jack. The sound level of the sound source
will in most cases affect the sound level delivered from the Comfort Duett.
Continued on the back page...
