Overheat Safety Feature
This heater is equipped with a overheat safety
feature. When the heaters internal
components reach a certain temperature that
could cause overheat and possible fire, the
heater will automatically shut off.

It is NOT intended for industrial or commercial use. DO NOT USE OUTDOORS
PLEASE READ AND SAVE THESE IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS When using electrical appliances, basic
precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electrical shock, and injury to persons, including
the following:
1. Read all instructions before using this heater.
2. This heater is hot when in use. To avoid burns, do not let bare skin touch hot surfaces. If provided, use handles
when moving this heater. Keep combustible materials, such as furniture, pillows, bedding, papers, clothes and
curtains at least 3 feet (0.9m) from the heater.
3. Extreme caution is necessary when any heater is used by or near children, pets or invalids and whenever the
heater is left operating unattended.
4. Use your heater only in dry environments. This heater is not intended for use in bathrooms, laundry areas and
similar indoor locations. Never locate the heater where it may fall into a bathtub or other water container. Do not
use your heater outdoors. Do not use near sinks, swimming pools or other damp areas such as flooded basements,
garages, etc. or anyplace where the heater could come in contact with water.
5. A heater has hot and arcing parts inside. Do not use in areas where gasoline, paint, or flammable liquids are
used or stored.
6. To disconnect heater, first turn controls to off, then remove plug from outlet. Always unplug the heater when
not in use.
7. Always unplug heater by removing the plug end from the outlet when not in use. Never unplug by pulling on
the cord as this can damage the power cord.
8. Do not operate any heater with a damaged cord or plug or after the heater malfunctions, has been dropped or
damaged in any manner. Return heater to authorized service facility for examination, electrical or mechanical
adjustment or repair.
9. Always plug heaters directly into a wall outlet/receptacle. Never use with an extension cord or relocatable
power strip.
10. Do not run cord under carpeting. Do not cover cord with throw rugs, runners, or similar coverings. Arrange
cord away from traffic area and where it will not be tripped over.
11. It is normal for the plug to feel warm to touch; however, a loose fit between the AC outlet (receptacle) and
plug may cause overheating and distortion of the plug. Contact a qualified electrician to replace loose or worn
outlet.
12. Do not insert or allow foreign objects to enter any ventilation or exhaust opening as this may cause an
electrical shock or fire, or damage the heater.
13. To prevent a possible fire, do not block air intakes or exhaust in any manner. Do not use on soft surfaces, like a
bed, where openings may become blocked.
14. Do not operate heater with any safeguards removed.
15. Use this heater only as described in this manual. Any other use not recommended by the manufacturer may
cause fire, electric shock, or injury to persons.
16. This heater draws 12.5 amps during operation. To prevent overloading a circuit, do not plug the heater into a
circuit that already has other appliances working.
17. Do not use outdoors.
IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS

ZONE HEATING SAVES!
The concept of Zone Heating is simple. Use High Efficiency heaters to heat the rooms you use most, during the
times you use these areas and turn back the thermostat to your central heating system. To achieve the
maximum benefit it is important to understand your heater and where best to locate it.
Please follow these suggestions:
1. Close doors to areas you do not wish to heat.
2. Locate a three prong outlet along an interior wall if possible. Position the heater so that the warm air
can blow unobstructed across the room towards the exterior walls.
3. Check your windows and doors for the infiltration of cold air and insulate as needed to avoid heat
loss. Rapid heat loss will minimize the effectiveness of your Infrared heater as it would any
conventional type heater.
4. Keep the area around the heater free of obstructions to insure maximum airflow. Keep electrical
cords, drapery, furniture, and other combustibles 3 feet (0.9 M) away from the front of the heater
and away from the sides.
5. Avoid locating your heater in high traffic areas or in direct sunlight.
6. Avoid locating your heater near your central heating thermostat.
LOCATING YOUR ELECTRIC FIREPLACE
Your new freestanding electric fireplace may be installed virtually anywhere in your home. However,
when choosing a location for your new electric fireplace, ensure that the general instructions are
followed. For best results, install the electric fireplace out of direct sunlight.
NOTE: This appliance comes equipped with an overheat protection safety device. Should the
appliance begin to overheat for any reason, it will automatically turn all heater functions of
the appliance off. The appliance will have to be reset prior to continuing use. To reset the
over-heat protection safety device, turn all controls off and unplug the appliance. Wait 15
minutes, plug the appliance back in and turn on. If the appliance continuously overheats,
please call our customer service department.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR POWER
WARNING: Before servicing this heater be sure to unplug heater from wall outlet. Do
not only turn off heater from the main “ON/OFF” switch, be sure to unplug this heater.
This heater is for use on 120 volts only. The cord has a plug as shown in the following figure.
ELECTRICAL CONNECTION
A 15 AMP, 120 Volt, 60Hz circuit
with a properly grounded outlet is
required. The heater should be on
a dedicated circuit. Other
appliances on the same circuit
may cause the circuit breaker to
trip or the fuse to blow when the
heater is in operation. The unit
comes standard with a 6'
(1828mm) long three wire cord
exiting from the rear of the
fireplace.
WARNING: Electrical
outlet wiring must comply with
local building codes and all
other applicable regulations to
reduce the risk of fire, electrical
shock and injury.
WARNING: Do not use this
fireplace if any part of it has been
under water. Immediately call a
qualified service technician to
inspect the fireplace and replace
any part of the electrical system if
necessary.
WARNING:
This heater has a voltage rating of
120 volts. The cord has a plug as shown in A. An
adapter as shown in C is available for connecting
three-blade grounding-type plugs to two-slot
receptacles. The grounding lug extending from the
adapter must be connected to a permanent
ground such as a properly grounded outlet box.
The adapter should not be used if a three-slot
grounded receptacle is available.
DO NOT DEFEAT THE SAFETY PURPOSE OF THE
GROUNDED PLUG.

OPERATION:
The heater controls are located on the top right corner of the insert.
Power: Press this button for main power function and flame effect. Press again to power unit off.
When heater is turned off, the unit fan will continue running for 30 second to dispense heat.
°C/°F: Celsius/Fahrenheit: Press this button to switch between the two temperature scales. The
corresponding Celsius (C) or Fahrenheit (F) LED will indicate the setting.
Timer: Press this button for the timer function. The letters “0H” to “8H” will appear on the LED
screen. “0H” means there is no set running time set and the heater will run continuously. The “1H”
to “8H” indicates the number of hours that the heater will operate before shutting off.
Flame: Press this button for Flame Effect. The numbers “6” to “0” will appear on the LED screen “6”
indicates the highest and brightest flame. “0” means there is no flame effect.
Temperature: Press up or down to reach desired temperature. When desired ambient temperature is
reached, the heater will automatically stop heating. When the ambient temperature drops below the
desired temperature by 2° the heater will resume heating.
Note: When the power button is turned off, all other functions will stop even though the buttons may be in
the “on” positions.

INSTRUCCIONES IMPORTANTES

Calefacción de Zona
El concepto de la Calefacción de Zona es sencillo. Utilice calentadoras Altas de Eficiencia para calentar los
cuartos que usted utiliza más, durante los tiempos usted utiliza estas áreas y se vuelve el termostato a su
sistema de la calefacción central. Para lograr el beneficio máximo que es importante comprender su
calentadora y donde vence situarlo.
Siga por favor estas sugerencias:
1. Las puertas cercanas a áreas usted no desea calentar.
2. Sitúe una tres salida de punta por una pared interior si es posible. Posicione la calentadora para que el
aire tibio pueda soplar libre a través del cuarto hacia las paredes exteriores.
3. Verifique sus ventanas y las puertas para la infiltración de aire frío y aísle como necesitó para evitar

INSTRUCCIONES PARA LA ALIMENTACIÓN
ADVERTENCIA: Antes de dar servicio a este calentador, asegúrese de desenchufar el calentador de la pared.
No sólo apague el calentador de la principal "ON / OFF", asegúrese de desconectar el calentador.
Este calentador es para uso en 120 voltios solamente. El cable tiene un enchufe como se muestra en la figura
siguiente.
CONEXIÓN ELÉCTRICA
A 15 amperios, 120 voltios, 60Hz
circuito con una toma de tierra es
necesaria. Preferiblemente, el
calentador se encuentre en un
circuito dedicado. Los demás
aparatos en el mismo circuito

tierra. El terminal con descarga a tierra del
adaptador debe conectarse a una toma a tierra
permanente como por ejemplo, un tomacorriente
con su debida puesta a tierra. El adaptador no
debe usarse si el tomacorriente no tiene tres
orificios y descarga a tierra.

FUNCIONAMIENTO:
Los controles de la estufa están en el extremo superior derecho de la inserción.
Encendido: Presione este botón para encender y activar el efecto de llama. Presione nuevamente
para apagar la unidad. Al apagar la estufa, el ventilador de la unidad continuará funcionando
durante 30 segundos para disipar el calor.
°C/°F: Celsius/Farenheit: Presione este botón para alternar de escala de temperatura. El LED
correspondiente a Celsius (C) o Farenheit (F) indicará la selección.
Temporizador: Presione este botón para activar el temporizador. Las letras “0H” a “8H” aparecerán
en la pantalla LED. “0H” significa que no se ha fijado el temporizador y la estufa funcionará
continuamente. “1H” a “8H” indica la cantidad de horas que funcionará el temporizador antes de
apagar la estufa.

VEUILLEZ LIRE ET CONSERVER CES IMPORTANTES CONSIGNES DE SÉCURITÉ: Les précautions de base doivent
toujours être suivies lors de l'utilisation d'appareils électriques afin de réduire les risques d'incendie, les chocs
électriques et les lésions corporelles:
1. Lire toutes les instructions avant d'utiliser ce poêle.
2. Ce poêle est chaud lors de son utilisation. Afin d'éviter toute brûlure, ne pas toucher les surfaces chaudes avec la
peau nue. Si fournies, utiliser les poignées pour déplacer le chauffage. Tenir les matériaux combustibles, tels que
les meubles, oreillers, draps, papiers, vêtements, et rideaux au moins à 0,9m du chauffage.
3. Une attention extrême est nécessaire lors de toute utilisation de chauffage
4. Utiliser votre poêle uniquement dans des environnements secs. Ce poêle n'est pas destiné à une utilisation en

6. Afin de déconnecter le poêle, mettre l'appareil sur la position arrêt, et retirer ensuite la prise. Toujours
débrancher le poêle lorsqu'il n'est pas utilisé.
7. Toujours débrancher le poêle en retirant la prise lorsque celui-ci n'est pas en cours d'utilisation. Ne jamais
débrancher en tirant sur le cordon car cela pourrait l'endommager.
8. Ne pas faire fonctionner de poêle dont le cordon ou la prise sont endommagés ou en état de disfonctionnement

Le concept de chauffage par zone est simple. Utilisez chauffage à haute efficacité pour chauffer les pièces que
vous utilisez le plus souvent, dans les moments que vous utilisez ces domaines et remonter le thermostat à
votre système de chauffage central. Pour obtenir le maximum d'avantages, il est important de comprendre
votre appareil de chauffage et le meilleur endroit pour le trouver.
S'il vous plaît suivez ces suggestions:
1. Fermez les portes vous ne souhaitez pas chauffer.
2. Localisez une prise à trois broches le long d'un mur intérieur si possible. Placez le chauffage de sorte
