ELECTRICAL CONNECTION
A 15-Amp, 120-volt, 60 Hz circuit with a properly grounded outlet is required. Preferably, the replace will
be on a dedicated circuit as other appliances on the same circuit may cause the circuit breaker to trip or
the fuse to blow when the heater is in operation. The unit comes standard with 6 ft. three-wire
cord, exiting from the rear of the replace.
Cold-climate installation: It is mandatory the outer walls be insulated to conform to applicable
insulation codes.
• Batteries are to be inserted with the correct polarity.
• Exhausted batteries are to be removed from the product.
• Non-rechargeable batteries are not to be recharged.

ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
PREPARATION
Before beginning assembly of product, make sure all parts are present. Compare parts with package
contents list and hardware contents list. If any part is missing or damaged, do not attempt to assemble,
install or operate the product. To protect the product from possible scratches, assemble the parts on a
scratch-free surface.
Estimated Assembly Time: 60 minutes
Tools Required for Assembly (not included): Phillips screwdriver, scissors and utility knife.
1. Align 4 plastic connectors from connector pack (T)
with correct holes on center left side panel (B) and
center right side panel (C). Secure plastic
connectors with bolts (AA).
2. Use bolts (AA) through plastic connectors to attach
center left front panel (I) to left side panel (B) and
center right front panel (J) to right side panel (C).
3. Align 8 more plastic connectors from connector pack
(T) with correct holes on center left side panel
(B) and center right side panel (C). Secure plastic
connectors with bolts (AA).

5. Insert 4 wood dowels (BB) into each pre-drilled hole
on center front panel (D). Then, attach center front
panel (D) between center left side panel (B) and
center right side panel (C). Secure connection by
sliding preassembled connection plates on center
front panel (D) to align with corresponding holes on
center left side panel (B) and center right side panel
(C) and insert truss head screws (CC).
6. Align 4 plastic connectors from connector pack (T)
with correct holes on center shelf (K). Secure plastic
connectors with bolts (AA).

9. Flip the assembly from Step 7 to rest on its side. Use
bolts (AA) through plastic connectors to connect
center shelf (K) to left side panel (E) and right side
panel (F) where shown.
8. Align 8 plastic connectors from connector pack (T)
with correct holes on left side panel (E) and right
side panel (F). Secure plastic connectors with
bolts (AA).
Attach 4 hinges from hinge pack (U) as shown to
left side panel (E) and right side panel (F), securing
with screws (FF).

11. Insert one wood dowel (BB) into each of the
pre-drilled holes in the top middle support panel (Q)
and attach it to the top of center shelf (K); secure
from the bottom with long screws (GG).

assembly to base (A).

13. Set assembly upright, then use bolts (AA) through
plastic connectors to attach mantel top (G).

14. Attach the center back panel (L) and rear panels
(O) to the back of the assembly using truss head
screws (CC) through the pre-drilled holes on the
panels.
15. Use screws (FF) to attach hinges from hinge pack
(V) to doors (P). Then, remove protective backing
from 4 door bumpers (HH) and stick them rmly to
each corner without the hinges of the doors (P).

16. Remove the preassembled bolts from 6 door
pulls (EE), then install door pulls (EE) to insert door
(M) with the bolts.

17. Align the hinges on doors (P) with the hinge
brackets on the assembly, sliding the hinge until it
is secure in the hinge bracket.
To adjust the doors right or left, loosen/tighten
screw (a).
To adjust the doors forward or backward, change
keyhole slot position as in (b).
To adjust the doors up or down, adjust bracket
height as in (c).
18. Remove the preassembled bolts from 4 door pulls
(EE), then install door pulls (EE) to doors (P) with
the bolts.

19 Choose desired height of wood shelf (H) and place
the four shelf pins (DD) into the corresponding
holes. Insert wood shelf (H) on top of the shelf pins
(DD).
Repeat as desired for the other wood shelf (H).

20. Lift insert (R) carefully into the back of the unit and
center in the insert opening. CAUTION: Do not
drag insert (R) across base (A) as it may scratch
the unit.

WARNING: Be sure to read all safety information prior to installing the insert (R). Insert (R) should be
installed in the mantel as close to the nal position as possible; two people are recommended for this
step.

21. Align insert support bar (N) with the holes on center
right side panel (C) and center left side panel (B).
Attach plastic blocks from 2-block connector pack
(T) where shown to secure insert support bar (N).
Secure with bolts (AA).

22. Assembly is now complete. With the help of
another person, move the unit to its nal location
and use the preassembled levelers as needed to
ensure the unit’s stability.
If desired, you can cover replace insert (R) with
insert panel (M). Simply push insert panel (M)
over replace insert (R) to engage the
preassembled magnets and secure in place.
CAUTION: Make sure the power is off to the
replace insert (R) and cool to the touch before
covering it.

23. WARNING: Installing the tipping restraint hardware
will help prevent accidents and/or damage to the
unit. It is highly recommended you complete this
step.
To secure the item to the wall, nd and mark a stud
closest to the edge of the left side of the mantel.
Attach the wall anchor from the tipping restraint
hardware pack (W) at the marked locations using
2 of the screws from the pack. Attach the unit
anchor to the mantel top (G) using the remaining 2
screws so it aligns with the wall anchor. Then,
detach the cable of the anchor tether provided
in the tipping restraint hardware pack (W) from the
connection and thread the cable through the
anchors. Re-attach the cable to the connection, but
do NOT tighten yet.
Repeat the above steps on the right side of the
unit, then pull both anchor tethers to secure the
item to the wall.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
FUNCTION
FLAME There are 6 brightness levels that can be selected.
Settings F6 - F4 are for a amber-only colored only
color ame effect.
F6 is maximum brightness, F5 medium and F4 low.
Settings F3 - F1 have a blue glow at the bottom of the
ame effect.
F3 is maximum brightness, F2 medium and F1 low.
The replace contains a fan forced wire element heater.
The thermostat setting range is 62°F - 82°F or
continously ON.
The thermostat is adjustable by 2°F increments.
The up and down buttons “” on the remote will
increase/decrease temperature setting. The button on
the control panel scrolls through specic temperature
settings.
To change between Fahrenheit and Celsius, press and
hold the heater button on the control panel for 3 seconds.
Pressing the timer button will cycle through the timer
settings: 30 minutes, 1 Hour, 2H, 3H, 4H, 5H, 6H, 7H,
8H, 9H and OFF.

REPLACING THE BATTERIES:
When the remote (S) stops operating or its range
seems reduced, it is time to replace the batteries.
Note: Batteries should be removed if the product
is to be left unused for a long time.
• Remove battery cover from the back of
remote (S).
• Remove old batteries and replace with 2 AAA
batteries, ensuring the polarities on the
batteries match the inside of the battery
compartment.
• Replace the battery cover.

CARE AND MAINTENANCE
• The motors used on the fan and the ame generator assembly are pre-lubricated for extended
bearing life and require no further lubrication. However, periodic cleaning/vacuuming of the fan/heater
is recommended.
• Make sure the unit is turned OFF and unplugged whenever you are cleaning the replace.
• Dust the replace regularly with a soft, non-lint producing cloth or household dusting product.
• Clean the replace with a gentle non-abrasive household cleaner. Make sure to dry the replace
immediately with a soft cloth or towel.
• Tips for using touch-up pen (II): For scratches, stroke in direction of scratch. For worn areas,
stroke in direction of wood grain. Rub excess cororant promptly with a soft cloth.

TROUBLESHOOTING
PROBLEM POSSIBLE CAUSE CORRECTIVE ACTION
Display shows “ ”. The thermostat sensor is
broken or disconnected.
Unplug the replace, remove the back panel of the replace and
check that the thermostat is plugged into the main circuit board. If
this does not solve the problem, contact customer service for a
replacement thermostat sensor.
Display shows “ ”. The thermostat sensor is
broken. Contact customer service for a replacement thermostat sensor.
Display shows “ ”. Manual Reset overheat
protection has triggered.
Inspect the heater and check that the air inlets and outlets are not
blocked as this may cause overheating. Unplug the heater for 30
minutes and allow it to cool down. Replug and operate, monitor the
heater for signs of overheating. If the problem persists, discontinue
use of the heater and contact customer service.
Display shows “ ”. The heater air outlet is
blocked.
Check that nothing is in front of the the heater air outlet by at least 3
feet.
Display shows “ ”. Error in normal operation.
Check your heater cord and plug connections. Faulty wall outlet
connections or loose plugs can cause the outlet or plug to overheat.
Be sure the plug ts tight in the outlet. Heaters draw more current
than small appliances; overheating of the outlet may occur even if it
has not occurred with the use of other appliances. During use, check
frequently to determine if your plug outlet or faceplate is HOT! If so,
discontinue use of the heater and have a qualied electrician check
and/or replace the faulty outlet(s).
Heater does not blow
warm air. Cool down cycle. No action is required. Cool down will continue to run for several
minutes before shutting down. Times will vary based on
temperatures. During this time cool air will blow.
No power, logs do not
glow. No power to the unit. Check that unit is plugged into a standard 120V outlet. Press power
button several times; make sure power is set to ON position.
Logs glow, but no
ame effect. Flame effect turned off. Press ame button to activate feature.
Heater does not blow
warm air.
Thermostat setting is
preventing heater from
turning on.
Adjust the temperature settings to ensure the thermostat is set higher
than the current room temperature.
Flame effect works but
heater function does
not and the emberbed

Repeatedly pressing buttons in rapid succession may cause the
transmitter to malfunction.
3. Operate the remote at a distance less than 20 feet from the front of
the appliance; point the remote at the control panel.

The manufacturer warrants this product to be free from manufacturing and material defects for a period of
one year from date of purchase, subject to the following conditions and limitations.
