How To: Modify EDID
DaisyNET II
If you are having trouble with EDID handling, there is a way to modify
the settings of DaisyNET II.
This guide will show you how to modify the EDID settings within
DaisyNET II devices.
System Setup
Preperation
Set the Rotary DI Switch on all your DaisyNET II devices to os. 9
Do not change this setting back to another number, otherwise you will erase your settings immediately.
Step 1: Read the EDID information from a connected Display
1. Open the webinterface of the DaisyNET II where the
Display is connected, here it is 192.168.1.122
Default password is: admin
Go to Confi uration / Video
Klick on EDID Read: Open Dialo
2. Select the Video out ort from which you would like to capture the
EDID Information. Typically it is HDMI.
3. A dialog box opens to save the EDID information in a edid.bin file. Save this
on your harddrive

Step 2: Write the EDID to an DaisyNET Port
4. Open the webinterface of the
DaisyNET II device, where you
would like to change the EDID
Information. In our setup here it is
I 192.168.1.121
Default password is: admin
Go to Confi uration / Video
Klick on EDID Read: Open Dialo
5. Click on “EDID Read: Open Dialog”
6. Click on “Browse” and select the EDID file you have saved
before on your local harddrive.
7. A message “Upload file OK” will appear
8. Click on Next
9. Select the ort where you would like to write this EDID
Information to. In this case “HDMI”.
10. Click on Next
If you would like to write this EDID to all 4 Inputs you need
to repeat step 5-9 for each input.
11. If everything was successful you get a confirmation Message in
the top right corner
Make sure your rotary DI Switch is set to 9!!!!
