INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
SET-UP AND USE
1. Before starting, make sure the blender cord is unplugged and the speed dial is in
the OFF position.
2. Set the power base on a clean, dry, at surface.
3. Attach blade assembly to the jar. Ensure silicone gasket is properly seated around
the inner edge of the collar. Turn the blade assembly until tight.
4. Place the blending jar with blade assembly onto the power base.
5. Place ingredients to be processed into blending jar. Do not ll past the MAX
marking.
IMPORTANT: Do not operate blender with an empty blending jar.
6. Plug blender into 120V 60Hz AC-only outlet.
7. The blender has a speed control dial that can turn the unit ON or OFF. The same
dial can adjust the speed settings from Minimum to Medium to Maximum Speed.
Minimum speed would be suited for light blending with liquids. Medium speed
would be suited for batters. Maximum speed would be suited for mixing liquids
with solids or much thicker liquids.
8. The blender also has three pre-set options: Pulse, Clean and Smoothie. For Pulse
blending (short bursts of high-speed blending action), press the Pulse button, the
speed will stop once you release your nger from the button. The Clean option
has dual functionality. To clean the blender after use, add some warm water with
a drop of dishwashing soap and press the Clean button to excess remove food
off of the blades and inside the blender jar. Blending jar, blades and lid can also
be washed in warm soapy water and placed in dishwasher. In addition, the Clean
option also operates as an Ice Crush function to make your favorite frozen drinks.
Note: Do not run the pulse button more than one minute at a time. Allow the unit to
rest for at least 3 minutes between maximum blending cycles.
9. When processing is complete, turn the speed dial to OFF. Unplug the cord from
the outlet and remove the blending jar from the power base.
Tip: Press the PULSE button at any time to bring the motor to max speed. If used
for 3 minutes, the appliance will switch off automatically. Wait 3 minutes
before using the appliance again.

PULSE BLENDING TECHNIQUE
• Use this technique when short bursts of high power are required. It is ideal for
chopping when a chunky texture is desired.
• Holding the power base with one hand, press the PULSE button and hold for a few
seconds. Release, then repeat until desired consistency is achieved.
BLENDING TIPS AND TECHNIQUES
• Always attached the blade assembly to the jar before placing on the power base.
• If ingredients being blended become stuck around the blades or on the sides of the
jar, turn the variable speed to the OFF position, lift jar off the power base and shake
to loosen food.
• When blending or chopping solid foods, such as raw vegetables, cooked meats, and
fruits, always cut pieces into sizes no larger than 1 inch before placing into jar. Blend
no more than ½cup (125ml) of these foods at a time. This will speed up the process
and reduce wear on the blades and motor.
• The Blender is also designed for crushing ice and making frozen drinks. Most store-
bought blender drink mixes and/or other recipes will note a requirement for water
or other liquids. Ice will not crush without some form of liquid. Add ½cup (125ml) of
water for every 1 ½cups (375ml) of ice.
• Smaller cubes can be chopped or crushed faster than large ones.
• If too much food is blended at one time, the motor may stall. If this happens, turn
the blender off, remove a portion of the food and repeat the blending process.
• Chill the jar in the fridge before blending frozen drinks. This will help retain a cooler
temperature.
• Avoid over-blending. Usually, you will only need to blend for a few seconds, not
minutes. Over-blending may cause food to be mushy.
• Be sure the motor is completely stopped before removing the jar from the power
base.
Tip:
• Press and release the PULSE button during the ICE CRUSH and SMOOTHIE
programs to stop the operation early. The appliance switches to standby mode
and indicators are ashing.
• Pressing the ICE CRUSH and SMOOTHIE buttons will not affect control knob
operation. Press and release the PULSE button or turn the control knob to OFF
position to nish the program during operation early.
• Turning the control knob during ICE CRUSH and SMOOTHIE programs will
modify the motor unit speed, following the control knob setting. Then turn the
control knob to ON position to stop operation.
• Turn the control knob to OFF position to stop any program during operation
and switch the appliance off.

Page 9
SET UP & USE
OVERLOAD PROTECTION SYSTEM
• The blender is equipped with an internal non-self resetting overload protector to
protect the motor from damage under heavy loads or continuous use, the motor
may stop. If the blender suddenly stops during use, this protector may have tripped.
• Unplug the power supply and remove the jar and leave it to cool for at least 30
minutes.
• Tripping the protector indicates that the blender is being loaded too heavily, or
with excessive continuous use. Reduce the amount of ingredients used or allow
more time in between blending to prevent it from happening again, which will help
preserve the life of the motor.
• The MAX line is a good indicator to prevent overloading. Please do not blend
recipes exceeding the max line.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
1. Unplug the power cord from the power outlet before cleaning.
2. Remove jar from the power base and then remove blade assembly from jar. Rinse
with warm water to remove any large food particles.
3. Fill jar half way with warm, soapy water.
4. Twist the blade assembly back on the jar. Replace jar on power base and turn the
blender on for a few seconds.
5. Remove the jar assembly from the base and rinse well. Repeat procedure as
necessary.
6. Blending jars, blade assembly and lid can also be washed in warm, soapy water
and then placed on top rack of a dishwasher. Rinse and dry thoroughly before use.
IMPORTANT: Do not use boiling water. The blade assembly bearings have been
designed with a lifetime lubricant; exposure to boiling water may
damage these bearings and shorten the life of the blender. Use of
boiling water could also cause excessive steam buildup, which may
result in personal injury.
7. The power base may be wiped with a clean, damp cloth or sponge.
CAUTION: Do not immerse the power base, cord or plug in water or any other liquid.
Do not use harsh detergents or abrasive cleansers on any part of the
blender or accessories.
WARNING: Be sure to handle the blade assembly carefully; blades are sharp.
NOTE:If you want to prepare a larger quantity, let the appliance cool down to room
temperature before you process the next batch of ingredients.
