this manual.

of the instrument. It is recommended
that you read and understand this
instruction manual thoroughly prior
to using the instrument. Failure to
understand these instructions and to
comply with the warnings and
instructions contained herein can
result in serious injury or damage.
WARNING: In order to avoid electrical
shock, remove the test leads before
you open the battery cover.
WARNING: In order to avoid electrical
shock, proper safety measures must
be respected when working with
voltages exceeding 120V (60V) DC or
50V (25V) RMS AC. These voltages
represent the threshold contact
voltages in accordance with DIN YDE
(German Standard).
CAUTION: Only use the instrument in
circuits fused with a maximum
of 16A.

defects in material or workmanship. This warranty is void if this product is ever

test leads and test instrument are
in perfect condition. These
measuring instruments may only
be used within the specified
ranges. The instrument may only
be opened for fuse or battery
replacement by authorized
persons. Prior to opening the
instrument, ensure that the meter
is switched off and disconnected
from any circuits. Never measure
a current in circuits with AC/DC
voltage present.
NOTE: In order to ensure correct
functioning and a long life span,
avoid leaving this product in
direct sunlight as this causes
overheating.

Set the measurement range switch (B)
to one of the BAT positions.
Connect the test leads (A) to the battery
with the red test lead to the positive end
and the black test lead to the negative end.
Read the GOOD BAD (green and red)
scale on the analogue display (D).
Maintenance
When using this instrument in compliance with this instruction manual, no special
maintenance is required. Adjustments and repairs can only be carried out by
authorized staff.
CALIBRATION INTERVAL
To ensure accuracy and reliability of measurement results, it is recommended
that you calibrate this instrument periodically.
TEST LEAD REPLACEMENT
When you replace the test leads, only use test leads with the following specifications:
300V CAT II 500 mA, or better.
REPLACING THE BATTERY
Short the two test leads (A) together
and adjust the resistance-zero
adjustment (C) to set the pointer to
the"0'" at the right end of the
resistance scale. If this does not work,
replace the battery with a new one as
follows:
Remove the multimeter from all circuits.
Loosen the screw located on the
back of the multimeter and open the
battery cover.
Replace the battery with a new
1.5V lEC LR6 AA battery.
Close the battery cover and dispose of
the old battery in a proper manner.
REPLACING THE FUSE
If the fuse has tripped due to current range
overload, replace the fuse according to this
procedure. Only use fuses with specified
current and voltage values, switch-off
characteristics, and capacities. Replace
the old fuse with a 500mA/250V, Fast Acting fuse.
Remove the multimeter from all circuits.
Loosen the screw located on the back of
the multimeter and open the meter
rear cover.
Remove the defective fuse.
Insert a new fuse and ensure that it is
positioned correctly.
WARNING: Using auxiliary fuses
and short-circuiting the fuse
holders is prohibited and can lead
to instrument destruction and
serious personal injury.

medición (B) a una de las
posiciones BAT.
Conecte las puntas de prueba (A) a la
batería con la punta de prueba roja en
el extremo positivo y la punta de
prueba negra en el extremo negativo.
Lea la escala BUENA / MALA
(verde y roja) en la pantalla analógica (D).
Mantenimiento
Cuando esté utilizando este instrumento en conformidad con el presente manual
de instrucciones, no se requerirá de ningún mantenimiento especial. Cualquier
ajuste y reparación solo podrá realizarse por personal autorizado.
INTERVALO DE CALIBRACION
Para asegurar la exactitud y confiabilidad de los resultados de la medición, se
recomienda calibrar periódicamente este instrumento.
REEMPLAZO DE LAS PUNTAS DE PRUEBA
Cuando usted reemplace las puntas de prueba, solo use puntas con las siguientes
especificaciones:
300V CAT II 500 mA, o mejor.
REEMPLAZANDO LA BATERIA
Junte las dos puntas de prueba (A) y ajuste
la resistencia a cero (C) para establecer el
puntero a "0'" en el extremo derecho de la
escala de resistencia. Si esto no funciona,
reemplace la batería por una nueva, como
sigue:
Remueva el multímetro de todos los
circuitos.
Afloje el tornillo situado en la parte
posterior del multímetro y abra la tapa
de la batería.
Reemplace la batería por una nueva
batería de 1.5V lEC LR6.
Cierre la tapa de la batería y deseche
la batería vieja de una manera apropiada.
REEMPLAZANDO EL FUSIBLE
Si el fusible ha saltado debido a una
sobrecarga del rango de corriente,
reemplace el fusible de acuerdo con este
procedimiento. Utilice solo fusibles con
los valores especificados de corriente y
voltaje, características de apagado y
capacidades. Reemplace el fusible antiguo
con un fusible de 500mA/250V, de acción rápida.
Remueva el multímetro de todos los circuitos.
Afloje el tornillo situado en la parte
posterior del multímetro y abra la tapa
posterior del medidor.
Retire el fusible defectuoso.
Inserte un fusible nuevo y asegúrese
de que esté colocado correctamente.
