INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
ATTACHING FASTENERS
“Forget Software Piracy
and Start Worrying about

ATTACHING A CYLINDRICAL-FASTENER (CL105)
·Identify cover/casing (housing) screws on the device to be secured.
·Remove existing screw (if any) from screw-hole, where the Cylindrical-Fastener is to
be attached.
·Determine whether Cylindrical-Fastener is to be attached with the self-tapping screw
(most computers) or the machine screw & washer (most monitors).
·Screw the Cylindrical-Fastener into the selected screw-hole. Attach the components of
the Cylindrical-Fastener in the sequence as illustrated. [Diagrams: 1 & 2]

ATTACHING A SLOT-FASTENER (CL106)
· Identify the built-in security-slot on the device to be secured. [Diagram: 3]
· Slide the rubber Jacket over the Slot-Fastener, make sure that the holes in the Jacket
and Slot-Fastener are aligned.
· Pull back the side plates of the Slot-Fastener and insert the hammer-head into the
security-slot. [Diagram: 4]

· Rotate the hammer-head 90 (perpendicular to the security-slot. [Diagram: 4]
· Push the side plates of the Slot-Fastener forward until they are aligned with the hole of
the central plate. The head of the Security-Cable can now be threaded through the
Slot-Fastener [Diagram: 5]

· Place the jaws of the Clamp-Fastener over the appropriate part of the device to be
secured. [Diagram: 6]
· Tighten the Clamp-Fastener with the allen key, until the device is firmly gripped by the
jaws of the Clamp-Fastener. [Diagram: 7]
· Thread the Security-Cable through the cable-hole of the Clamp-Fastener. [Diagram: 8]
· Identify the built-in security-slot on the device to be secured. [Diagram: 3]
· Insert the nib of the Barrel-Fastener into the security-slot and lock the Barrel-Fastener.

ATTACHING A STANDARD BOND-FASTENER (CL107)
· Assembly: Assemble the Bond-Fastener components as illustrated. [Diagram: 10]

· Clean: Thoroughly clean the base of the Bond-Fastener and the surface of the device
where the Bond-Fastener is to be adhered. The selected surface area of the device been
secured must be smooth and flat (no curvature, no patterns, no ridges, etc.)
· Roughen: Roughen the base of the Bond-Fastener and the selected surface area of the
device been secured with sand-paper or a file.
· Bond: Apply the adhesive to the base of the Bond-Fastener and the selected surface
area of the device been secured. Allow 1 – 2 minutes for the adhesive to start setting
before attaching the Bond-Fastener. [Diagrams: 11 & 12]
