
Performance Monitor 1 (PM1) Disassembly
1. Remove monitor from cage.
a. Remove rubber casing around monitor
by pulling it off towards you.
b. Unplug wire from top of monitor.
c. Remove two Phillips head screws, one
on each side of monitor.
2. Remove batteries from monitor.
3. Lay monitor face down so you are wor ing on the bac side.
4. Remove mounting plate from monitor by removing the two screws.
5. Ta e out 6 small screws and the bac of the monitor will come off. You will now be loo ing at the
circuit board. See Figure 1.
6. There are five more screws holding the circuit board in. Remove these also.
7. Remove the board by pulling it straight out. Please Note: There are four small plastic pins in the
battery compartment that may brea if the board is pulled out at an angle.

8. When you lift the board out, the LCD will be stuc to the front of it. There is no mechanical means
holding the board and LCD together. They can now be separated holding the LCD by the edges.
Also peel the rubber strips off the edges of the LCD.
9. You can now replace any needed parts. (LCD, buttons)
