HOW TO UPDATE CHD3LAN (Version NAS-BASIC48, LOADER69)
We recommend connect CHD3LAN directly to your computer with a network cable to update firmware.
Please download last firmware available in our website www.conceptronic.net
Unzip the content in a folder and run quick_upgrade.exe file.
This utility will do a scan to detect automatically your CHD3LAN.
If appears the next error message (Socket Error #10065 No route to host.) you will found a solution
at the end of this document.
Instructions:
1.) Select Storage-0000 in the list (This screen shows the default IP/Hostname CHD3LAN information)
2.) Press Browse key.

3.) Select file rom125_2m.bin
4.) Press Open
5.) Press Upgrade
6.) While update is in process following screen will be shown. Please don’t disconnect or close the
program until screen is displayed. Don’t turn off the CHD3LAN. This process can be running
between 5 or 10 minutes.
Please wait.
7.) Press OK, wait a minute before reboot your CHD3LAN.
8.) Reboot your CHD3LAN

To access configuration menu write in your web browser next address http:// 162.254.0.1
(Default IP setting).
At configuration menu press Maintenance, and Browse, select chd3lan48.bin file and press Open.
Finally press Upload.
To let changes take effect it’s needed to reboot device. Maintenance --> Reboot
CHD3LAN has been updated.
To check if CHDLAN has been correctly updated you can see status screen: NAS-BASIC48,
LOADER 69
Error solution “Socket Error #10065 No route to host”.
This error message will appear when computer does not have a correct IP address /configuration.
Please check the next configuration (Only valid for Windows 2000/XP):
Press Start -> Run
Type ncpa.cpl and press OK
Rright click the Local Area Network and select Properties
Double click in Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) and press Properties
Configure your network card properties to:
- Obtain IP automatically
- Obtain DNS automatically
Press Ok -> OK
In the task bar following icon will be shown: (two computers with a yellow ball)
Wait to obtain a new IP address; the little yellow ball will disappear.
Now you can update firmware.
