VISITOR’S GUIDE
This loan equipment will enable you to hear more
clearly and help you to enjoy your visit.
The speaker wears the
radio microphone
transmitter to pick up
their voice.
Congratulations – you should now be able to relax and just enjoy listening!

lTurn on the fmGenie
receiver.
lSet your
hearing aids
to the ‘T’
setting.
lAdjust the volume
(marked ‘Tx vol’) of the
receiver until you can
hear clearly at a
comfortable level through
your hearing aids.
1 Check the number of battery bars
showing on the right of the display. Two
bars or more indicate enough battery to
last the day.
2 The speaker wears the radio microphone transmitter
on a neck harness so that the microphone of the
transmitter is positioned about the length of the biro
from the mouth. If it is too far from the speaker’s
mouth, you will not get such a clear signal.
3 The radio receiver
can either be
clipped to your belt
in the pouch
provided, placed
safely in a pocket or
held in your hand.
4 Once you have adjusted the Tx volume setting of the receiver to suit
you personally, the fmGenie will automatically adjust to louder (or
quieter) voice levels so you should not need to readjust the volume of
the receiver or your hearing aids. Your hearing aids should remain on
the "T" setting as long as you wish to listen to the speaker wearing
the transmitter.
5. In some areas, the neck loop system may suffer interference from other
electrical equipment such as lighting, computers, etc. If you should
experience such interference, simply move to a position further away
from the source of interference.
