APPLICAZIONE ED USO
Integrando 3G, 4G e sicurezza avanzata, con watchdog hardware
incorporato, rilevamento di link, auto-recovery e riavvio automatico,
la serie 4GRout-WiFi fornisce comunicazioni afdabili ad ambienti
non presidiati. La afdabile tecnologia VPN protegge i dati sensibi-
li. 4GRout-WiFi utilizza strumenti di gestione remota con interfaccia
Web.
Questo router è ideale per applicazioni su Internet of Things (IoT) su
larga scala, apparecchiature e sistemi di controllo industriale.

APPLICATION AND USE
Integrating 3G, 4G and advanced security, with embedded hard-
ware watchdog, link detection, auto-recovery and auto-reboot, the
4GRout-WiFi series provides reliable communications to unattended
sites. Reliable VPN technology secures sensitive data. 4GRout-WiFi
uses remote management tools with a web interface.
This router is ideal for large-scale Internet of Things (IoT) applications
including equipment and industrial control systems.
The router conguration is described with more details in the user’s
manual 4GROUT-WIFI_DMP117e.

INSTALLATION OF DEVICE
Make sure there is 3G/4G network and that there are no shielding on
the site. 220 Vac or 9~26 Vdc must be supplied on site.

Make sure the SIM is enabled with the data service and the service is
not suspended due to insufcient credit on the SIM.

It is possible to use 3GROUT-WIFI-PWR accessory not supplied.
• Fixing
Place 3GRout-WiFi on at level in an environment with a small vibra-
tion frequency.
INSTALLATION OF SIM/UIM CARD
3GRout applies pop-up card holder. Press the yellow button on the
right of the card holder and the card holder will pop up. Then, install
the SIM/UIM card and press the card holder back to the card slot.
ANTENNA INSTALLATION
Slightly rotate the movable part of metal SMA-J interface until it can-
not be rotated (at this time, external thread of antenna cable can-
not be seen). Do not forcibly screw the antenna by holding black
rubber lining.

INSTALLAZIONE DEL DISPOSITIVO
Assicurati che ci sia una copertura di rete 3G/4G e che non ci siano
schermature sul sito. 220 Vac o 9~26 Vdc devono essere forniti in
loco.

Assicurati che la SIM sia abilitata con il servizio dati e il servizio non sia
sospeso a causa di un credito insufciente sulla SIM.

E’ possibile utilizzare l’accessorio 3GROUT-WIFI-PWR non fornito a cor-
redo.
• Fissaggio
Posizionare 3GRout-WiFi in piano in un ambiente con una piccola
frequenza di vibrazione.
INSTALLAZIONE DELLA SIM/UIM
Premere il pulsante giallo sulla destra del porta SIM per aprirlo. Quin-
di, inserire la scheda SIM/UIM nel cassetto di alloggiamento. Premere
per chiudere il cassetto nello slot della scheda.
INSTALLAZIONE DELL’ANTENNA
Ruotare leggermente la parte mobile dell’interfaccia metallica
SMA-J no alla massima rotazione permessa (in questo momento
non è possibile vedere il lo esterno del cavo dell’antenna). Non
forzare l’antenna nell’avvitarla, tenerla per la gomma nera.

INSTALLATION OF PROTECTIVE GROUNDING
The specic steps are shown in below:
1. Remove the grounding screw.
2. Connect the grounding ring of the cabinet’s grounding wire
onto the grounding screw.
3. Tighten the grounding screw up.
CAUTION
To improve the immunity from interference of whole router, the router
must be grounded when using. According to operating environment,
the ground wire should be connected with grounding stud of router.

INSTALLATION OF POWER SUPPLY
Upon installation of the antenna, connect the device to 9-26 Vdc
power and see if the Power LED on the panel of the device is on. If
not, please contact technical support of Controlli immediately.
Login Router
Upon installation of hardware, be sure the Ethernet card has been
mounted in the supervisory PC prior to logging in the page of Web
settings of the router.
I. Automatic Acquisition of IP Address (Recommended)
Please set the supervisory computer to “automatic acquisition of IP
address” and “automatic acquisition of DNS server address” (default
conguration of computer system) to let the device automatically
assign IP address for supervisory computer.
II. Set a Static IP Address
Set the IP address of supervisory PC (such as 192.168.2.2) and LAN in-
terface of device in same network segment (initial IP address of LAN
interface of device: 192.168.2.1, subnet mask: 255.255.255.0).
III. Cancel the Proxy Server
If the current supervisory PC uses a proxy server to access the Inter-
net, it is required to cancel the proxy service. The operating steps are
shown below:
1. In the browser window, select “tools>>Internet options”;
2. select “connection” page and click the button of LAN Settings
to enter “LAN Settings” window interface. Please conrm if the
option “Use a Proxy Server for LAN” is checked; if it is checked,
please cancel and click the button <OK>.
IV. Login/Exit Web Settings Page
Open IE or other browser and enter IP address of 4GRout-WiFi, such
as http://192.168.2.1 in address bar (default setting of 4GRout-WiFi).
Upon connection, log in from the login interface as a system admin,
i.e. enter username and password at the login interface (user name
/password default: adm/123456).
INSTALLAZIONE DELLA PROTEZIONE DI MESSA A TERRA
Seguire i seguenti passaggi specici:
1. Rimuovere la vite di messa a terra.
2. Collegare l’anello del cavo di messa a terra dell’armadio alla
vite di messa a terra.
3. Stringere la vite di messa a terra.
ATTENZIONE
Per migliorare l’immunità dalle interferenze dell’intero router, il router
deve essere collegato a terra durante l’utilizzo. Secondo l’ambiente
operativo, il lo di terra deve essere collegato con il perno di messa
a terra del router.

INSTALLAZIONE DELL’ALIMENTATORE
Al momento dell’installazione dell’antenna, collegare il dispositivo a
9-26 Vdc e vericare se il LED di alimentazione sul pannello del di-
spositivo è acceso. In caso contrario, contattare immediatamente il
supporto tecnico di Controlli.
Login Router
Dopo l’installazione dell’hardware, assicurarsi che la scheda Ether-
net sia stata installata nel PC di supervisione prima di accedere alla
pagina delle impostazioni Web del router.
I. Acquisizione automatica dell’indirizzo IP (consigliato)
Impostare il computer di supervisione su “acquisizione automatica
dell’indirizzo IP” e “acquisizione automatica dell’indirizzo del server
DNS” (congurazione predenita di sistema) per consentire al dispo-
sitivo di assegnare automaticamente l’indirizzo IP per il computer di
supervisione.
II. Imposta un indirizzo IP statico
Impostare l’indirizzo IP del PC di supervisione (come 192.168.2.2) e
l’interfaccia LAN del dispositivo nello stesso segmento di rete (indiriz-
zo IP iniziale dell’interfaccia LAN del dispositivo: 192.168.2.1, subnet
mask: 255.255.255.0).
III. Annulla il server proxy
Se il PC di supervisione corrente utilizza un server proxy per accedere
a Internet, è necessario annullare il servizio proxy. I passaggi operativi
sono mostrati di seguito:
1. Nella nestra del browser, selezionare “Strumenti >> Opzioni In-
ternet”;
2. selezionare la pagina “Connessione” e fare clic sul pulsante
Impostazioni LAN per accedere all’interfaccia della nestra
“Impostazioni LAN”. Si prega di confermare se l’opzione “Use
a Proxy Server for LAN” è spuntata; se è selezionato, si prega di
annullare e fare clic sul pulsante <OK>.
IV. Login/Esci dalla pagina delle impostazioni web
Apri IE o un altro browser e inserisci l’indirizzo IP di 4GRout-WiFi, come
http://192.168.2.1 nella barra degli indirizzi (impostazione predenita
di 4GRout-WiFi). Al momento della connessione, accedere dall’inter-
faccia di accesso come amministratore di sistema, ad esempio im-
mettere nome utente e password nell’interfaccia di accesso (nome
utente / password predeniti: adm/123456).
