WARRANTY
ELECTRICAL APPLIANCES & NON ELECTRICAL
PRODUCTS
Cook4Life warrants to the original purchaser of
this product (“the client”) that this products will be
free of defects in quality and workmanship under
normal personal, family or household use for a
period of 1 (one) year from the date of purchase
(“warranty period”).
Where the client has purchased the product and
it breaks, is defective or does not work properly or
for the intended purpose, the client must notify
Cook4Life thereof with the warranty period. Any
claim in terms of this warranty must be supported
by a proof of purchase. If proof of purchase in
not available, then repair, and/or service charges
maybe be payable by the client to Cook4Life. All
repair, and/or service charges are payable up front
upon receipt of a Proforma Invoice from Cook4Life.
The faulty product must be taken to Cook4Life’s
nearest regional office to exercise the warranty.
The product must be in good working condition,
with your original proof of purchase, name,
address, telephone number, and a description
of the claimed defect. Returned goods must be
complete with all the accessories included in the
original purchase. You will be required to offer
us an explanation for the return and offer us the
opportunity to address any problems. Cook4Life
will provide the client with a charge for transport
and handling.
Cook4Life will repair or exchange the product
in terms of this warranty subject to legislative
requirements. This warranty shall be valid only
where the client has not broken the product
himself, or used the product for something that it
is not supposed to be used for. The warranty does
not include and will not be construed to cover
products damaged as a result of disaster, misuse,
tamper, abuse or any unauthorised modication or
repair of the product. Every possible precautionary
measure to prevent damage to the product has
been taken.

If the client requests that Cook4Life repairs the product
and the product breaks or fails to work properly within 3
(three) months of the repair and not as a result of misuse,
tampering or modication by or on behalf of the client,
then Cook4Life may replace the product.
The client may be responsible for certain costs where
products returned are not in the original packaging,
or if the packaging is damaged or if all the accessories
included in the original purchase, are not included.
WHAT IF THE GOODS ARE DEFECTIVE?
If within 6 months from date of purchase the goods are
found to be defective due to a manufacturing or material
defect, and not due to abuse, misuse or tampering, then
Cook4life will repair or replace the goods.
If after the initial 6 months from date of purchase, the
goods are found to be defective due to a manufacturing
or material defect, and not due to abuse, misuse or
tampering, then Cook4life will send the goods to the
manufacturer for assessment and the manufacturer will
decide whether you have a valid claim, and if so repair or
replace the goods.
If the goods become defective after the 12 months from
date of purchase Cook4life can arrange to have the
goods repaired at a cost. No repairs will be done without
the approval of a quotation rst, as well as payment
received from the client.
WHEN WILL THE WARRANTY FROM COOK4LIFE NOT
APPLY?
The 1 year warranty from Cook4life will only apply to
manufacturing defects of goods, and will not apply in
the following instances:
• Damage caused by accident to the goods
• Damage caused by tampering, abuse or misuse of
the goods
• If the goods are used for any other purpose other
than which they were manufactured for
• If the goods are not cared for or used according to
their instruction manuals

1. IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
WHEN USING ELECTRICAL APPLIANCES, BASIC SAFETY PRECAUTIONS SHOULD ALWAYS BE
FOLLOWED, INCLUDING THE FOLLOWING:
1. Read all instructions.
2. The exterior of the grill will become very hot
during use. Do not touch hot surfaces. Use the
knobs. Do not store or place any other item on
top of the grill.
3. Close supervision is necessary when any
appliance is used by or near children.
4. To protect against electric shock, do not immerse
cord, plug, or any parts of the grill in water or
other liquids.
5. Do not operate appliance with damaged cord or
plug or after the appliance malfunctions, or has
been damaged in any manner.
6. The use of accessory attachments not
recommended by the manufacturer may cause
injury.
7. Do not use outdoors.
8. Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric
burner.
9. Do not let the cord hang over the edge of table
or counter, or touch hot surfaces, including the
stove.
10. 10. When operating the grill keep at least four
inches of space on all sides of the grill to allow
for adequate air circulation.
11. Unplug from outlet when not in use and before
cleaning. Allow to cool before putting on or
taking off parts, and before cleaning.
12. To disconnect, turn the TIMER control to “Off”,
then remove the plug. Always hold the plug,
never pull the cord.
13. Extreme caution must be used when moving an
appliance containing hot oil or other hot liquids.
14. Do not clean with metal scouring pads. Pieces
can break off the pad and touch electrical parts,
creating a risk of electric shock.
15. A re may occur if the grill is covered, touching,
or near ammable material, including curtains,
draperies, walls, and the like, when in operation.
Do not store any item on top of the grill when in
operation, or before the grill cools down.
16. Extreme caution should be used when using
containers other than metal or glass.
17. Use extreme caution when removing drip pan or
disposing of hot grease or other hot liquids.
18. Do not store any materials, other than
manufacturers recommended accessories, in this
grill when not in use.
19. This appliance is off when the TIMER in the “Off”
position. When not in use, the grill should always
remain unplugged from the wall outlet.Always
wear protective, insulated mitts when inserting
or removing items from the hot grill.
20. Do not use appliance for other than intended
use.
21. This appliance is not intended for use by
persons (including children) with reduced
physical,sensory or mental capabilities, or lack
of experience and knowledge, unless they
have been given supervision or instruction
concerning use of appliance by a person
responsible for their safety.
22. Children should be supervised to ensure that
they do not play with appliance.
23. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be
replaced by cook4life or similarly qualied
person in order to avoid a hazard

4. BEFORE YOUR FIRST USE
Read all instructions in this manual carefully. The information included in this book will guide you through the
versatility of your grill.
Place your grill on a level surface such as a countertop or table. Be sure the sides, back and top of the grill are
at least four inches away from any walls, cabinets or objects on the counter or table. Remove all stickers from
the grill. Remove Drip Pan, Rotisserie Spit, Forks and wash them in warm, soapy water or in the dishwasher. Dry
thoroughly before placing in the oven.
THE DOOR HANDLE IS REMOVABLE, IN ORDER TO LET YOU TAKE IT OUT AND CLEAN THE
INSIDE OF UNIT. BEFORE YOU USE THE OVEN, PLEASE ASSEMBLY THE HANDLE YOURSELF
BY THE FOLLOWING ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTION PICTURE.
When you are ready to use the grill, be sure that the TIMER Control is in the“Off” position and unplugged. We
recommend a trial run to familiarize yourself with your grill and to eliminate any protective substance or oil that
may have been used for packing and shipping. Plug the cord into a 220-240volt AC outlet. Set the TIMER Control
to “20”minutes. A small amount of smoke and odor may be detected. This is normal.
To avoid scratching, marring, discoloration or re hazard, do not store anything on top of the oven, especially
during operation.

5. USING YOUR GRILL FOR ROTISSERIE
CAUTION: Appliance surfaces are hot during and after use! Do not place anything on top of this appliance.
Always wear protective, insulated oven mitts when handling, inserting or removing items from the hot grill.
Never attempt to use your Rotisserie without the drip pan in place. THE UNIT WILL NEVER START BEFORE
YOU CLOSE THE DOOR WELL AND THE INNER LIGHT IS OFF.
1. Place one rotisserie fork on the end of the
rotisserie spit opposite the point with the tines
facing the center and tighten the screw slightly.
2. Slide the pointed end of the rotisserie spit
through the center of the food to be cooked.
3. Place the other rotisserie fork on the other end of
the rotisserie spit with the tines facing the roast.
4. Adjust the roast so that it is centered on the
rotisserie spit. Make sure the forks are secure on
the roast and on the spit and tighten the screws.
5. When cooking poultry, it may be necessary to
secure legs and wings to the body with butchers
twine to make the roast as compact as possible
for smooth movement of the rotisserie spit.
6. Season or baste the roast as desired.
7. IMPORTANT! Place the round drip pan into the
receptacle at the bottom of the oven to catch
the drippings.
8. Put the solid end of the rotisserie spit in the drive
socket on located in the center of the drip pan.
9. Place the grooved end on the spit support on
located on the top interior of the oven
10. Close the glass door and the inner light will be
off automatically.
11. Set the TIMER Control to the time according to
RECIPE and check after the setting time.
12. When the roast is done, turn the TIMER Control
to “Off” and unplug the oven.
13. The grill sides and top are hot, use oven mitts or
temperature resistant gloves when removing the
chicken. You can also use a carving fork and set
of tongs to remove the roast.
14. Remove the rotisserie from the top by lifting up
and out towards you. Pull the bottom part of
the spit out of the drip pan receptacle and place
onto a carving station.
15. Place the roast on a cutting board or platter and
allow standing for 10-15 minutes, this allows
the juices to redistribute throughout the roast
making for a moister, avorful roast Using a pot
holder, loosen the screws on the rotisserie forks
and remove the rotisserie spit from the roast.
Carefully remove the rotisserie forks and carve
the roast.

6. CARE AND CLEANING
1. Turn the TIMER Control to“Off” and unplug before cleaning.
2. Allow the grill and all accessories to cool completely before cleaning.
3. Clean the outside of the grill with a damp cloth and dry thoroughly. Clean stubborn stains with a
nonabrasive liquid cleaner. Do not use metal scouring pads or abrasive cleaners that will scratch the
surface.
4. Clean the glass door with a cloth or sponge dampened with warm, soapy water and dry thoroughly.
5. Wash the drip pan in hot, sudsy water or in the dishwasher. Clean stubborn stains with a nylon or polyester
mesh pad and a mild, nonabrasive cleaner. Rinse and dry thoroughly.
6. If crumbs and spills have accumulated on the bottom of the grill wipe with a damp cloth and dry
thoroughly.
7. The walls on the inside of the grill allow food particles or spatters during use to be easily wiped clean.
Remove heavy spatter after use with a nylon or polyester mesh pad, sponge or cloth dampened with warm
water. Blot dry with a paper towel or soft, dry cloth.
8. The Rotisserie spit and forks (without screws attached) , kebabs and sh basket can be placed in the
dishwasher or washed in warm soapy water. Hand wash the screws in warm soapy water and dry
thoroughly.

ROAST
CHICKEN
INGREDIENTS
1. 1 × Medium sized
chicken +/- 1.6kg
2. 2 × Medium Sized Onion
3. 2 × Sticks of Fresh
Rosemary
4. 2 × Tsp of Garlic and
Ginger
5. 4 × Tbsp Mayonnaise
6. 4 × Tbsp Chutney
7. Rosemary & Garlic or
Portuguese Chicken
Spice
8. Salt and Black pepper
DIRECTIONS
1. Season the inside and outside of the chicken with
chicken spice.
2. Place the Fresh Rosemary and some garlic and
ginger in the chicken.
3. Peel the onion and place it inside the chicken.
4. Mount the chicken on the Rotisserie’s skewer
making sure the skewer goes through the onion
and secure the chicken from top and bottom with
the forks.
5. Shop one onion and put it in the drip tray with half
a cup of water.
6. Place the chicken inside the Rotisserie and set your
time to 60 minues at Maximum temperature.
7. Mix the Mayonnaise, Chutney and 1 Tsp of garlic
and ginger together with a bit of salt and black
pepper.
8. After 60 minutes, glaze the chicken with the source
you have made using a brush.
9. Cook the chicken for another 5 minutes to ensure a
nice crispy and brown skin.
*Increase cooking time to 9 minutes when using two
chickens.

Serves 4 - 6 people

INGREDIENTS
1. 1.2kg of thinly cut
skinless boneless chicken
breast
2. ½ cup of lemon juice
3. 2 tablespoons of tomato
sauce
4. 4 tablespoons of plain
(Greek) yogurt
5. 3 tablespoons of white
vinegar
6. 1 head of garlic, crushed
7. 2 tablespoons of olive oil
8. 1 to 1.5 teaspoons of salt
(or to taste)
9. ½ teaspoon of ground
oregano (or thyme)
10. 1 teaspoon of paprika
11. ½ teaspoon of ginger
powder (optional)
DIRECTIONS
1. Rinse the boneless chicken breasts with fresh cold
water then cut horizontally into thinner cuts of about
½ inch (each breast could possibly be split into 2
slices depending on thickness).
1. Mix all ingredients (Except the Chicken) in a blender,
add to a bowl and mix well with the chicken, cover
and let it marinate in the fridge overnight.
1. When ready, grill the marinated chicken in your
Cook4Life Verti- Grill Rotisserie for about 20 minutes
on Maximum heat.
1. Once cooked, shred the chicken thinly working your
way around the chicken. The chicken will now be
ready to be wrapped into a Shawarma.
1. Spread the chicken shreds along the inside of a
pita bread or wrap, spread a bit of Garlic paste over
the pita bread or wrap, then, add some cucumber
pickles, some French fries (Optional), and some grilled
tomatoes, roll and enjoy.
Notes: Try marinating a mix of 75% chicken breast and 25%
skinless boneless chicken thighs. The fat in the thighs gives
the chicken a nice taste when grilled. Add grilled tomatoes in
the pita or wrap instead of raw tomatoes.

SHAWARMA
INGREDIENTS
MEAT
1. 1kg of fatty beef cuts (roast
cut/steak cuts/rump steak or
sirloin steak)
MARINADE INGREDIENTS
1. 5 cloves of garlic
2. ½ cup of freshly squeezed
lemon juice
3. ¼ cup of apple cider vinegar
4. ¼ cup of olive oil
5. 1 teaspoon cloves
6. 1 teaspoon salt
7. ½ teaspoon cumin
8. ½ teaspoon caraway
9. ½ teaspoon cardamon
10. ½ teaspoon of oregano or
thyme
11. ½ teaspoon cinnamon
12. ½ teaspoon nutmeg
13. ½ teaspoon crushed
peppercorn
14. ¼ teaspoon of cayenne
pepper
15. ¼ teaspoon ground ginger
TAHINI SAUCE INGREDIENTS
1. 2 teaspoons of tahini paste
2. 1 cup of freshly squeezed
Lemon Juice
3. 3 gloves of garlic, crushed
4. Pinch of salt
SANDWICH INGREDIENTS
1. ½ cup of nely cut fresh
parsley
2. Grilled tomatoes
3. French fries
4. Pita bread
DIRECTIONS
SHAWARMA MARINADE
1. Mix the spices along with the lemon juice and apple cider
vinegar in a blender for a couple of minutes. Don’t mix in the
olive oil yet.
2. Cut the beef into chunks of 10cm long by no more than 2cm
in thickness.
3. In a bowl, rub the meat with the marinade, sprinkle a bit of
olive oil then rub again, cover and let marinate overnight in
the fridge.
GRILLING SHAWARMA METHOD 1: PANINI GRILL
1. Lay the marinated shawarma chunks on the Skewer making
sure the skewer penetrates each piece of meat and cook for
10-15 minutes on maximum heat.
2. Once cooked, shred the meat on a cutting board and serve
hot.
PREPARING THE TAHINI SAUCE
1. In a small bowl, whisk the Tahini paste, crushed garlic, lemon
juice and salt until you turn the paste into a sauce.
SERVING THE SHAWARMA
1. Place about 120g – 170g (to taste) of shredded shawarma in
a pita bread along the diameter, sprinkle some tahini sauce,
add freshly grilled tomatoes, french fries and garnish with
fresh parsley. Roll and enjoy.
