ELECTRICAL SAFETY
•This blender is designed for domestic use. Don’t use it in wet
or damp locations.
•Switch off and unplug when not in use and before assembling,
cleaning or dismantling the appliance.
•This appliance shall not be used by children. Keep the
appliance and its cord out of reach of children.
•This appliance can be used by persons with reduced physical,
sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and
knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction
concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and
understand the hazards involved.
•Children shall not play with the appliance.
•Keep motor housing, cable, and plug dry and away from areas
where it is likely to get splashed. Never immerse in water.
•Do not cover or block the ventilation holes.
•Do not pull on the cable to disconnect from the mains supply.
•Do not operate the appliance if damaged or after it
malfunctions. In the event the supply cord is damaged, in
order to avoid a hazard it must only be replaced by a qualified
service engineer, with a suitably approved part.
•This appliance must be positioned so that the plug is
accessible and the plug socket is within easy reach of the
power cord.

WARNING!
•This appliance is intended exclusively for use in domestic
households. It is not suitable for commercial use.
•Only use with the parts supplied and fully assembled.
•Never place hands or utensils inside the jug whilst the
blender is in use. Only use a scraper when the blender is not
in operation.
•Do not cover the blender and allow the motor housing to cool
fully before storing.
•Never use hot liquids in the blender jug, always allow liquids
to cool to room temperature before blending.
•Do not fill above maximum level marked (1500ml) or use
without the lid and stopper in place as the contents may be
ejected when the blender is started.
•Do not leave unattended during use.
•The blender blades are sharp, take care when emptying the
jug and cleaning.
•This appliance can cause personal injury if misused.

IMPORTANT:
Your blender is equipped with a safety feature, where the
blades will not operate unless the base of the jug and motor
housing are fully locked and the lid correctly fitted.

TO USE
1. Clean thoroughly before use.
2. Place the motor housing on a stable surface, check that the
speed switch is at the off (0) position, fully unwind the cable
and plug in.
3. Place the ingredients to be blended into the jug and check
that the level is not above the maximum level marked
(1500ml).
4. Fit the lid and stopper to the
jug and lock into position (figs.
1). When the lid is correctly
fitted the silver tab will be
aligned with the jug handle.
5. Fit the jug onto the base, align
the arrow marked on the jug
with the ‘unlocked’ padlock
symbol on the side of the motor
housing and twist until it is
aligned with the ‘locked’
symbol (figs. 2).
6. Using the speed switch, select
the appropriate blender speed
for your ingredients. A slower
mix will be obtained by
selecting the lower speed
setting (1) and a faster mix by
selecting the higher setting (2).
7. If the blender does not operate
check that the jug and the lid is
fully locked into position.

8. Blend for a maximum of 2 minutes. If further blending is
required allow it to cool to room temperature before
restarting the blender.
9. Switch off; allow the blade to stop spinning before checking
the consistency of the mix. If satisfactory, remove the jug.
10. To use the blender on pulse, turn and hold the speed switch
to the ‘Pulse’ position for short intervals. The blender will
operate at full speed, when the desired mix is achieved,
release the switch.
11. To stop or interrupt the blending process switch the
appliance off by turning the speed control switch to ‘0’ or by
turning off at the mains.
Notes:
•Do not run the blender with the container empty or with
solids only.
•For some types of mixes it may be necessary to fill above the
minimum (250ml) to obtain the most efficient mixing.
•The stopper is graduated and may be used as a measuring
cup.
•The jug can be rinsed between uses in a session by half filling
with clean water and operating the blender on pulse for a few
seconds. Always clean thoroughly at the end of each session.
•Always check that the seal is fitted before use.
CLEANING
Clean the blender after each use.
1. Switch off and unplug.
2. The jug, lid and stopper may be washed in hot water with a
little washing up liquid taking care not to handle the blades.
Rinse and wipe dry. If water or foam enter the handle during
washing, stand the jug upright and leave to drain-liquid will
drain naturally through a hole situated at the base of handle.
Not suitable for dishwashers.

3. To remove the blade assembly (not the plastic collar) from
the jug, firmly grasp the lugs of blade assembly on the
underside of the jug. Twist the assembly anti-clockwise to
remove (fig 3). Lift off the silicon seal (fig 4). Please note
the blade assembly may be difficult to remove the first time.

4. Wipe the outside of the motor housing with a damp cloth; do
not use detergent or abrasives as these may scratch the
surface.
5. Never immerse the motor housing, cable or plug in water.

PLUG / WIRING ADVICE
The wires in this mains lead are coloured in accordance with the
following UK electrical code: BLUE = NEUTRAL
BROWN = LIVE
GREEN + YELLOW = EARTH
Non-rewireable plug
This appliance may be fitted with a “non‐rewireable” plug. If you
need to change the fuse in a “non‐rewireable” plug, the fuse
cover must be refitted. If the fuse cover is lost or damaged, the
appliance must not be used.
Rewireable plug
The colours of the wires in the mains lead of this appliance may
not correspond with the coloured markings identifying the
terminals in a rewireable plug. Rewireable plugs should only be
replaced by a suitably competent person. If in doubt, consult a
qualified electrician.
The BLUE wire must be connected to the
terminal marked with the letter N
The BROWN wire must be connected to
the terminal marked with the letter L
The GREEN & YELLOW wire must be
connecting to the terminal marked with
the letter E or the earth symbol .
