INSTALLATION
1. RemovetheCoolTubeandincludedpartsfromtheprotecvepackaging.
2. Usingroperatchets(CN10005),Sunrisereectorhangers(RFSR),orchains(LGCHBR),hang
theCoolTubeinthedesiredlocaonfromasecuredhangingpointinahorizontalorvercal
orientaon.
Note: For vercal hanging, the internal specular insert may be removed to provide 360 degree lu-
minance. Make sure the bulb of choice is designed for universal orientaon and is not a horizontal
only lamp.
3. Insert the bulb of choice into the socket assembly.
4. Aachhighquality6”or8”ducngonly,tobothsidesofthereectorandconnectahighvelocity
inline fan to either pull or push air through the Cool Tube.
5. ConnecttheLock&SealmaleplugoftheCoolTubeintothedesignatedHydrofarmballastbefore
pluggingitintothewallpowersupply.
SPECULAR INSERT ASSEMBLY AND REMOVAL
1. Toinstallthealuminumspecularwinginserts,slidethesideofeachwingthatisapproximately¾”
widebeforethenextcrease,intotheretenontabs(g.a)locatedonbothsidesoftheCoolTube
housing.Thedullsideofthespecularwingsshouldbefaceupwiththeshinysidefacedown.
2. To remove the specular insert inside the Cool Tube, loosen and remove the cable hanger assembly
nuts.Reghtenthenutsaertheinserthasbeenremoved.
NOTE: Remove protecve overlay from specular insert before using.
SPECIAL NOTES AND INSTRUCTIONS
• TheCoolTubereflectorissuggestedtooperatewithahighqualityinlinefansystem.Ahigher
CFMofairflowthroughthereflectorisalwaysbetterthanless.
• Disconnecttheballastfromthepowersupplyandwaituntilthelightsystemhascompletely
cooled off before replacing bulbs or cleaning the glass.
WARNINGS
• Avoidcontactofliquidstoallelectricalcomponentsofthelightsystem.Failuretodosomay
damagetheequipmentorresultinelectricalshock.
• The Cool Tube reflector MUST be air-cooled during operation. Failure to do so could cause
the glass to crack.
• Keepthelightsysteminawellventilatedareatopreventheatbuildup.
• Do NOT touch the Cool Tube glass during operation.
