ENSURE THERE IS SUFFICIENT DISTANCE BETWEEN THIS APPLIANCE AND OTHER ITEMS ON
THE WORK SURFACE OR WORK STATION, OR SUFFICIENT DISTANCE BETWEEN THE
APPLIANCE AND THE CONFINES OF THE AREA IN WHICH IT IS SITUATED. WE RECOMMEND A
MINIMUM CLEARANCE AROUND ALL FACES OF AT LEAST 10CM.

INITIAL SET-UP
MAINS CONNECTION
Ensure that the mains voltage of your home corresponds to the operating voltage of the unit.
Your unit is ready to be connected to a mains voltage by 5V DC adaptor.

AMPLIFIER CONNECTION (if required)
Whilst you can listen to your new turntable using the built in speakers you may wish to connect
it to your existing Hi Fi system. Connect the audio plugs to the Line input on your mixer or
amplifier using an RCA cable (not supplied)
Red plug into R/H channel input.
White plug into L/H channel input.
PLAYING A RECORD
Place the record of your choice on the turntable. If required, do not forget to place the
adaptor on the record spindle.
Choose the desired playing speed using the speed selection switch between 33.3, 45 and
78rpm.
Turn on the Rotary Power Switch, note that this also controls volume.
Release the tone arm lock.
Raise the arm with your hand lightly.
Place the stylus vertically over the first track of the record, the turntable will start turning
automatically.
Put down the stylus slowly on to the record to play.
When a record comes to the end, it could be controlled by auto-stop ON/OFF switch to
set as your favorite.
Lift up the tone arm and put it on the rest when finished.
Replace the protective cap on the stylus and close the tone arm lock.
Turn off power at mains.
MAINTENANCE
REPLACING THE STYLUS
Push the arm lock to
release the tone-arm.
Take off cartridge cap to
expose needle.
Lightly separate
cartridge from the
socket..
Take out audio-line from
cartridge completely.
To fit new stylus reverse process, insert audio-line, and install cartridge into socket.
NOTE: Please exercise extreme care when performing this operation to avoid damage to the tone arm and
audio line wires.

INSTALLING A NEW STYLUS CARTRIDGE
-Refer to the figures 5 & 6
NOTES
We advise you to clean your records with an anti-static cloth for maximum enjoyment and
protection.
The stylus should be replaced periodically (approximately every 250 hours)
Dust the stylus from time to time using a very soft brush dipped in alcohol (brushing from
back to front of the cartridge)
WHEN TRANSPORTING YOUR RECORD PLAYER DO NOT FORGET TO:
Replace the protective cap on the stylus.
Put the rest clip into the pick-up arm.

•CHECK THE APPLIANCE AND POWER CABLE CAREFULLY FOR DAMAGE BEFORE EACH USE.
•KEEP THE APPLIANCE AWAY FROM CHILDREN.
•BEFORE CONNECTING THE APPLIANCE, CHECK IF THE VOLTAGE INDICATED ON THE BOTTOM
OF THE APPLIANCE IS IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE MAINS VOLTAGE IN YOUR HOME.
•THIS APPLIANCE CAN BE USED BY CHILDREN AGED FROM 8 YEARS AND ABOVE AND
PERSONS WITH REDUCED PHYSICAL, SENSORY OR MENTAL CAPABILITIES OR LACK OF

QUALIFIED PERSON, IN ORDER TO AVOID A HAZARD.
PLUG WIRING (UK & IRELAND)
This appliance is fitted with a BS 1363 13-amp plug. If you have to replace the fuse, only those that
are ASTA or BSI approved to BS1362 and with a rated current of 13-amps should be used. If there is a
fuse cover fitted, this cover must be re-fitted after changing the fuse. If the fuse cover is lost or
damaged the plug must not be used. Spare fuse holders and fuses are available from electrical
outlets. If the socket outlets in your home or office are not suitable for this product’s plug, the plug
must be removed and disposed of safely. Attempts to insert the plug into the wrong socket is likely
to cause electric hazard. A replacement plug should be wired according to the following instructions:

The cable
A mains electricity cable contains two or three inner wires. Each has a core of copper and an outer
layer of flexible plastic. This product is double insulated; the wires in the cord set are colour coded in
the following way:
BLUE NEUTRAL
BROWN LIVE
GREEN & YELLOW EARTH
The diagram below shows the key features of a correctly wired three-pin mains plug.
DISPOSAL
•Dispose of all packaging, paper, cartons and plastic, plastic bags in accordance with your
local recycling regulations.
•At the end of the product’s lifespan please dispose of it at an authorised household WEEE
waste recycling centre.
Note:
Double insulated appliances do not
need the green & yellow Earth wire.
They may only have the Brown and
Blue wires.
