UNPLUG THE APPLIANCE BEFORE CLEANING.
ALWAYS ENSURE THE SUCTION HOLE IS FREE OF ANY OBSTRUCTION,
FAILURE TO DO SO MAY RESULT IN THE VACUUM OVERHEATING.
ASSEMBLY
With the appliance unplugged open the front cover and ensure the dust cup filter is fitted.
Attach shoulder strap to two fixing points, adjust as necessary.
Attach crevice brush or cleaning brush to the front suction hole, or attach the brush
accessories to the extension hose and fit the extension hose to the suction hole.
USE
Assemble required attachment.
Use shoulder strap if desired.
Hold appliance by handle.
With thumb turn on appliance.
Start vacuuming.
Note: For your safety after prolonged use the Vacuum Cleaner has a thermal protector which will
cut-out power if the temperature exceeds 105 °C. This can also happen if the dust cup filter is full.

CLEANING
Unplug the appliance before cleaning
Do not immerse in liquid
Use a damp cloth on accessible parts, dry with a clean lint free cloth.
TO EMPTY THE DUST CUP FILTER:
Push the button in (left side of handle)
Pull front housing off.
Carefully remove the dust filter over a suitable receptacle. (Remember which way the filter
fits.)
Shake dust filter and front housing to empty.
Rinse the front housing and dust filter in cold water and allow to dry naturally.
Reassemble when dry.

Motor doesn’t work
The plug is not plugged in.
House main power is off.
Plug appliance in.
Check fuse/breakers.
Suction decrease
The dust cap filter is blocked.
The flexible hose or extension
tube is blocked.
Check and clear all blockages.
Dust escapes from vacuum
Dust Cup filter has been
punctured.
Replace Dust Cap filter.
The flexible hose or extension
tube is blocked.
Check and clear all blockages.
Motor cuts out
If appliance gets very hot
(exceeding 105 degrees) an
automatic internal thermal
switch will ensure motor cuts
out.
Allow to cool, motor will restart
when sufficiently cooled.
Dust Cup filter is blocked.
Empty Dust cup filter.

ELECTRICIAN OR TO BE REPLACED BY THE MANUFACTURER, SERVICE AGENT OR SIMILARLY
QUALIFIED PERSON, IN ORDER TO AVOID A HAZARD.
PLUG WIRING (UK & IRELAND)
This appliance is fitted with a BS 1363 13-amp plug. If you have to replace the fuse, only those that
are ASTA or BSI approved to BS1362 and with a rated current of 13-amps should be used. If there is a
fuse cover fitted, this cover must be re-fitted after changing the fuse. If the fuse cover is lost or
damaged the plug must not be used. Spare fuse holders and fuses are available from electrical
outlets. If the socket outlets in your home or office are not suitable for this product’s plug, the plug
must be removed and disposed of safely. Attempts to insert the plug into the wrong socket is likely
to cause electric hazard. A replacement plug should be wired according to the following instructions:
The cable
A mains electricity cable contains two or three inner wires. Each has a core of copper and an outer
layer of flexible plastic. This product is double insulated; the wires in the cord set are colour coded in
the following way:
BLUE NEUTRAL
BROWN LIVE
GREEN & YELLOW EARTH
The diagram below shows the key features of a correctly wired three-pin mains plug.
DISPOSAL
•Dispose of all packaging, paper, cartons and plastic, plastic bags in accordance with your
local recycling regulations.
•At the end of the product’s lifespan please dispose of it at an authorised household WEEE
waste recycling centre.
Note:
Double insulated appliances do not
need the green & yellow Earth wire.
They may only have the Brown and
Blue wires.
