Microwave Ove Chip Cooker 9272 I structio s
SAFETY WARNINGS:

• Always use oven gloves when handling the Chip Cooker after preheating and
ooking.
• Only use in mi rowaves that have a glass plate or turntable.
• This Chip Cooker is not onventional oven safe, only use in the mi rowave.
• Conta t with the side of the mi rowave oven will ause ‘ar ing’ and s or h the
wall of your mi rowave. When pla ing the Chip Cooker into your mi rowave,
ensure the Chip Cooker is in the entre and that there is spa e for it to rotate.
• When hot avoid pla ing on heat-sensitive surfa es as damage will o ur.
• Always he k that the food is fully ooked.
• Use plasti heat proof or wooden utensils with the Chip Cooker.
Do not use metal or ut with a knife on the Chip Cooker surfa e.
• Use oven gloves when handling the Chip Cooker.
• Can be used in mi rowave ovens, ombination ovens and mi rowave ovens
with grills.
The base on the Chip Cooker is made of a patented material whi h onverts
mi rowave energy into thermal energy. When pre-heated in a mi rowave oven
the base will be ome extremely hot very qui kly. The non-sti k ooking surfa e
will rea h a temperature of around 200ºC in 2 minutes. When food is added to
the pre-heated Chip Cooker the base will risp and brown your food whilst the
mi rowaves will ook the entre of the food to ensure evenly ooked results.
Important points when using your Chip Coo er:
• As food heats from above, the Chip Cooker distributes heat below it to brown
and pan-fry.
• You MUST preheat for it to work properly.
Warning – the Chip Cooker will be hot! Use oven gloves when handling.
• Make sure the food you want to risp has onta t with the Chip Cooker
surfa e, e.g. do not pile on Fren h fries or hips and expe t them to get rispy.
Ea h surfa e of the food needs to have onta t with the metal in order for it to
be ome risp. Turning the food several times during ooking will ensure
maximum rispness.
• Suggested times are going to vary based on variety, size and thi kness of food.
It is best to start with a lower heating time and work upwards by minutes until
the desired rispness is a hieved.
• Che k and turn food halfway through for desired rispness on ea h side.
• Chec food is fully coo ed and piping hot all the way through
before eating!
WARNING
If the Chip Cooker is used i a microwave ove smaller tha specified there is
a possibility of ‘arci g’, which i some circumsta ces could cause serious
damage to your microwave ove . Please check that the dime sio s of your
microwave ove meet the followi g criteria before usi g.

The Chip Cooker has a diameter of
25 m and is designed to be used in
mi rowave ovens whi h allow a learan e of
1.5 m gap on all sides of the oven. As a guide if the
Mi rowave Chip Cooker sits on the turntable with no
overhang it is suitable for use in that oven but we re ommend you he k the
learan e is suffi ient before use. The Chip Coo er must not touch the
internal sides of the microwave when in use.
If the mi rowave does not have a turntable please ensure that the internal width
of the mi rowave (left to right) and depth (front to ba k) are both at least 28 m.
If the mi rowave oven is smaller than these measurements then the Chip Cooker
is not suitable for use in it.
When using the Chip Cooker always pla e it in the middle of the turntable or the
mi rowave base. We re ommend you he k that the mi rowave is on a level
surfa e before use to ensure that the Chip Cooker does not move sideways when
the turntable revolves.
Microwave ovens
To obtain the best results the Chip Cooker should be pre-heated by mi rowaving
on full power without food (it is safe to pre-heat this produ t without food) for
the following times:

IMPORTANT NOTICE
It is advised not to exceed pre-heat times as potential
damage may occur to the Chip Coo er.
Adj st cooking times as needed for other microwave wattage:
• For 750W ovens: add 20 seconds per minute
• For 850W ovens: add 15 seconds per minute
• For 1100W ovens: add 5 seconds per minute
• For 1500W ovens: subtract 15 seconds per minute.
Fail re to follow the instr ctions can ca se inj ry or res lt in damage
to the Chip Cooker or microwave. We cannot be held responsible for
any damage ca sed by not following these instr ctions.
Cleaning Instr ctions:
• Wash the Chip Cooker in a dishwasher or by hand using mild, soapy water.
• Avoid abrasive cleansers and scrubbers.
• Microwaves and internal wave guide covers must be kept clean. Please refer to
manufacturers’ instructions.

Combination ovens and microwave ovens with grills
he Chip Cooker can be used in combination ovens and microwave ovens with
grills. Do not use the Chip Cooker on a metal rack when the microwave function
is in operation. In combination ovens and microwave ovens with grills - where
the grill operates at the same time as the microwave - always place the Chip
Cooker on the turntable. Where the grill is a separate function and does not
combine with the microwave function a metal rack may be used.
