Setting up your phone
Installing MicroSD / MicroSIM cards
1. Open the battery door: Slide the battery latch to the right
2. Insert the MicroSD into slot
3. Insert MicroSIM into SIM slot
Battery Installation
1. Insert the battery, top side first.
2. Rotate the bottom side of the battery in the compartment.
3. Press down the battery cover until you hear a “click” sound.
The MicroSIM must be inserted parallel
to the battery compartment. If not,
there is a risk to damage the SIM
connector.

Note: Please make sure the battery latch is on the left hand side for the
battery door to close properly.

INCORRECT TYPE. DISPOSE OF USED BATTERIES ACCORDING TO THE
INSTRUCTIONS.
Charging the Battery
Charge the battery via one of the following accessories certified with C-five:
1. Use a MicroUSB cable connected together with a Power Adaptor Jack.
-- Keep microUSB clean and dry before charging --
2. Use Single Cradle connected with DC Power adaptor and Plug (COPPERNIC Model
Name: DS-FIVE).

Charging indicators
1. Main Device: C-five.
2. Cradle: DS-FIVE.
LED indicates the status of cradle power connection and battery power.
CAUTION: Please make sure the device is fully charged before using C-five for the first time.
Solid Red: Power connected and low battery power
Solid Green: Power connected and a battery is fully
charged.
Blinking Red: Low Power
Solid Red: Battery is charging
Solid Green: Battery is fully charged

Using Your Phone
Turning ON/OFF Your Phone
1. To turn on the phone, press and hold the power button.
2. To turn off the phone, press the power button and select
“Power off” in the dialog box.
Note: Device turns to the other modes as below by holding power button key.
Suspend Mode
Press and release the power button to place the device in suspend mode. The display will be off and go
into a low power state to save battery power.
Reboot
Press and hold the power button and select “Reboot” in the dialog box to restart the device.
Data Capture
Scan a Bar Code with Imager:
1. Go to “Setting” “Functional Keys” Select "SCAN" for function
keys used for scanning.
2. Go to “BarCodeScanDemo” apk Select “ ” for scanner settingPress
function keys to scan barcodes.

Photo & Videos
1. Go to Home Screen select “Camera” Tap camera icon or screen to take a
picture/switch to video icon and tap for video recording.
2. Use the rear camera to take photos and capture videos.
Note: Ensure device memory or extend MicroSD card is space is available.
Installing Apps
Download applications from Google Play Store.
1. Go to Home Screen select “Google Play” icon.
GPS Information
1. Acquiring satellite signals may take a few minutes.
2. Without a clear view, acquisition takes longer.
3. Turn off GPS when not in use to save battery.

This device incorporates the international roaming feature which will ensure the
product operates on the correct channels for the particular country of use.

Ad-Hoc operation is limited to Channels 36- 64 (5150 – 5350 MHz). Use of this band
is restricted to indoor use only, any other use will make the operation of this device
illegal.

Warnings of Use Wireless Devices
Please observe warning notices with regard to the usage of wireless devices.
1. Potentially Hazardous Atmospheres – Vehicles Use
You are reminded of the need to observe restrictions on the use of radio devices in
fuel depots, chemical plants etc. and areas where the air contains chemicals or
particles (such as grain, dust, or metal powders) and any other area where you would
normally be advised to turn off your vehicle engine.
2. Safety in Aircraft
Turn off your wireless device whenever you are instructed to do so by airport or airline staff.
3. Safety in Hospitals
Wireless devices transmit radio frequency energy and may affect medical electrical
equipment. Wireless devices should be switched off whenever you are requested to
do so in hospitals, clinics or healthcare facilities. These requests are designed to
prevent possible interference with sensitive medical equipment.
Safety Information – Europe
This device was tested for typical body-worn operation. Use only COPPERNIC tested
and approved accessories to ensure EU compliance.
Laser Devices
Class 2 laser scanners use a lower power, visible light diode. As with any very bright
light source, such as the sun, the user should avoid staring directly into the light beam.
Momentary exposure to a class 2 laser is not known to be harmful.
Caution: Use of controls, adjustments or performance of procedures other than those
specified herein may result in hazardous laser light exposure.
Power Adaptor
1. Use only a C-five approved Power Adaptor with electrical ratings: Output5VDC,
min 2A, with a maximum ambient temperature of at least 45°C.
2. Use of alternative power adaptor will invalidate any approvals given to this device
and maybe dangerous.

Battery Information
Use only a COPPERNIC approved batteries.
When batteries are stores over six (6) months, some irreversible deterioration in
overall battery quality may occur. Store batteries at half of full charge in a dry, cool
place, removed from the equipment to prevent loss of capacity, rusting of metallic
parts and electrolyte leakage. When storing batteries for one year or longer, the charge
level should be verified at least once a year and charged to half of full charge.
Battery Safety
1. The area in which the units are charged should be clear of debris and combustible
materials or chemicals. Particular care should be taken where the device is charged
in a non -commercial environment.
2. Follow battery usage, storage, and charging guidelines found in the user guide.
3. Improper battery use may result in a fire, explosion, or other hazard.
4. To charge the device battery, the battery and charger temperature must be
between 0°C~+50°C.
5. Do not use incompatible batteries and chargers. Use of an incompatible battery or
charger may present a risk of fire, explosion, leakage, or the hazard.
6. Do not disassemble or open, crush, bend or deform, puncture, or shred.
7. Severe impact from dropping any battery-operated device on a hard surface could
cause the battery to overheat.
8. Do not short circuit a battery or allow metallic or conductive objects to contact the
battery terminals.
9. Do not modify or remanufacture, attempt to insert foreign objects into the battery,
immerse or expose to water or other liquids, or expose to fire, explosion, or other hazard.
10. Do not leave or store the equipment in or near areas that might get very hot, such
as in a parked vehicle or near a radiator or other heat source. Do not place battery
into a microwave oven or dryer.
11. Battery usage by children should be supervised.
12. Please follow local regulations to promptly dispose of used re-chargeable batteries.
13. Do not dispose of batteries in fire.
14. Seek medical advice immediately if a battery has been swallowed. In the event of
a battery leak, do not allow the liquid to come in contact with the skin or eyes. If
contact has been made, wash the affected area with large amounts of water and
seek medical advice.

Frequency of Operation
The use of 2.4 GHz RLAN's, for use through the EEA, have the following restrictions:
1. Maximum radiated transmit power of 100 mW EIRP in the frequency range 2.400
- 2.4835 GHz
2. France, outside usage is restricted to 2.4 - 2.454 GHz.
3. Italy requires a user license for outside usage. Bluetooth®Wireless Technology for
use through the EEA has the following restrictions:
