General Safety Precautions
1. Thank you for your purchase of this appliance. Read all
instructions carefully. Keep this User Manual for future reference.
2. Always unplug the appliance from the power socket before
cleaning or when not in use.
3. If it is a detachable power cord, always attach the power cord to
the appliance first BEFORE plugging it into the power socket. To
disconnect the appliance, switch it off first before removing the
power plug from the power socket.
4. This product must not be left unattended while it is connected to
the mains supply.
5. Close supervision is necessary when operating the appliance
near children. Ensure that the power cord does not hang over the
work surface.
6. Do not operate the appliance with a damaged power cord set or
plug. Any repairs should always be undertaken by an authorized
service centre.
7. Always place the appliance on a flat sturdy surface. When
moving it, always ensure not to touch the hot surfaces and avoid
spilling any hot items it may contain.
8. Do not immerse the appliance or electrical parts into water or any
other liquids.
9. Use of accessories or equipments not supplied by the
manufacturer may result in damages or malfunction on the
appliance or injuries to the user.
10. This appliance should not be used by people who are physically
or mentally impaired (including children) unless proper guidance
is provided during operation.

Operating Instructions
Before using for the first time:
As there is manufacturing residue of oil remain in the toaster or
heating element, it usually will emit a certain odor for the first use. It is
normal and will not occur after several times of use. For the first use,
it is suggested to operate the toaster at the highest degree of
browning for three times without any bread. Then, let the toaster cool
before toasting the first slice.

Making Toast
When you plug the toaster into the power socket, turn the
browning selector knob to the center position. There are 7
browning degrees that can be selected by adjusting the
corresponding knob from 1=lightest toast, up to 7=darkest toast.
Insert the slices of bread into the slots.
Press the ON lever downwards to lower the slices of bread into
the toaster.
The ON lever will return to its original position when the toasting
is done.
While the toaster is operating, it is possible to make the toast
lighter or darker by turning the browning selector knob.
The toaster switches off automatically when the toasting time
comes to an end. The toasted breads will pop up from the slots.
Function:
Defrost Button
If the bread has been taken out from refrigerator, press
“Defrost” button and the lamp beside it will be illuminated and
the bread will start toasting.
Reheat Button
If you want to reheat the cold toasted bread, press the “Reheat”
button and the lamp beside it will be illuminated. In this mode,
toasting time is fixed. When the time is over the ON lever will
automatically spring up and it will end the reheating process.
Cancel Button
During the toasting process, observe the browning of the toasts
color. If it is satisfying, then press the “Cancel”button to cancel
the operation at any time.

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT BREAD SLICES?
The bread type, moist content, freshness, thickness and quantity
will all have an effect on the browning outcome.
To toast two slices of bread side by side and get similar result,
they should be the same bread type, moist content and freshness.
The toaster can be used for any bread with no toppings.
The thickness of each bread slice should not exceed 2.5 cm.
Darker types of bread generally need to be toasted at a higher
degree of browning.
Very thin bread slices:
Will not be centered automatically.
Should be toasted at the lowest degree of browning in order to
avoid being burnt on one side.
Always store sliced breads for toasting in a dry location.
Keep the breads in a sealed wrapper to maintain freshness.
Caution:
If smoke appears from the toaster, press “Cancel” button to stop
toasting immediately.
Remove all protective wrapping prior using the toaster.
Avoid toasting the food with extremely runny ingredients such as
butter.
Never attempt to remove breads jammed in the slots without
unplugging the toaster from the electrical outlet first. Make sure
not to damage the internal mechanism or heating elements when
removing the breads.

Care and Cleaning
Pull out the power plug and wait for the toaster to cool.
Remove and empty the crumb tray.
Wipe the exterior parts with a damp cloth.
Do not use sharp objects or abrasive substances to clean the
toaster.
Do not immerse the toaster into water or put it in a dishwasher.
For any other maintenance and servicing work not described
here, ensure that they are performed only by an authorized
service personnel.
Regular cleaning, care and servicing of the toaster will ensure its
performance at all times.
