Safety Instructions
Thank you for choosing to purchase a product from Cosi Home. Please read
the entire manual carefully prior to first use and keep in a safe place for future
reference.
ELECTRIC BLANKET
WARNING: Keep away from fire or flammable materials.
WARNING: To avoid the risk of electrical shock, fire or injury to people, always
make sure the appliance is unplugged from the electrical outlet before relocating,
servicing, or cleaning it.
• Use this appliance only as described in this manual. Any other use not
recommended by the manufacturer may cause fire, electric shock, or injury to
persons.
• Use the electric blanket under the body only. Do not wrap the body with the
blanket or use in any other way.
• Use the tie downs to secure the product to the bed. If used on an adjustable bed,
ensure the blanket or cord cannot become trapped, stretched or creased.
• The appliance is not to be used by persons (including children) with reduced
physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge,
unless they have been given supervision or instruction.
• Do not use by persons insensitive to heat and other very vulnerable persons.
• Children must be supervised not to play with the appliance.
• Children of less than 3 years must NOT use the appliance due to their inability to
react to overheating (Fig 1.).
• This blanked is not to be used by young children, unless the controls have
been pre-set by a parent or guardian, or unless the child has been adequately
instructed on how to operate the controls safely.
• Children of less than 3 years should be kept away unless continuously
supervised.
• Do not leave children alone or unattended in the area where the appliance is in
use.
• Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children unless
continuously supervised.
• Do not insert pins or sharp objects into the blanket (Fig 2.).
• Do not use the blanket on when folded or creased (Fig. 3).
• Do not tuck the blanket under the mattress.
• Do not cover or trap the controller under pillow, mattress or blanket.
• Do not place the controller under the electric blanket whilst in use. Heat can
damage the controller.
• Do not use the blanket when it is wet or damp.
• Do not operate the blanket controller or touch the power lead with wet hands to
prevent electric shock.
• Only operate the blanket with the supplied power lead and controller.
• Do not use this appliance near water or in the immediate surroundings of a bath,
a shower or a swimming pool.
• Do not use the blanket on sofa beds or inflatable beds.
• Do not use a hot water bottle at the same time as using the blanket.
• This appliance is intended for indoor household use and similar applications. Do
not use outdoors.
• Not intended for medical use in hospital.
• Never leave the appliance unattended while in use. Always turn the appliance off
and unplug when not in use.
• Always switch OFF, disconnect from the mains power supply and allow the
blanket to fully cool down before cleaning or storage.
• Always disconnect the controller and power lead from the blanket before
washing.
• When storing the appliance, allow it to cool down before folding.
• Do not crease the appliance by placing items on top of it during storage.
• Never wring the blanket after it has been washed.
• Do not expose the electric blanket to direct sunlight.
• Allow the blanket to thoroughly cool down before handling or cleaning.
• Do not use any abrasive cleaners or solvents, as this will damage the blanket.
• Avoid placing the power cord and controller in areas where it can become a
tripping hazard.
• To avoid a circuit overload when using this appliance, do not operate another
high-wattage appliance on the same electrical circuit.
• Do not use together with another heating appliance.
• Avoid using extension leads where possible as they may overheat and cause a
risk of fire.
• Do not use with anything that can start a fire on the bed such as cigarettes,
sparks etc, which can lead to fire.
• Do not use this appliance with an external programmer, timer switch or any
other device which would switch the device on automatically unless this has
already been pre-built into the appliance by the manufacturer.
• Do not kink or wrap the power cord and plug around the appliance, as this may
cause the insulation to weaken or split, particularly where it enters the appliance.
• Ensure the mains cable is fully extended before use and arrange it so that it is
not in contact with any part of the appliance.

• Do not pull on the mains cable. Never move, carry or hang the appliance by the
mains cable.
• Do not operate the appliance if there are signs of damage to the appliance,
power cord, or any of the accessories.
• If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its
service agent or a similarly qualified person in order to avoid a hazard.
• Do not attempt to repair or adjust any electrical or mechanical elements in the
appliance. Doing so may be unsafe.
• Ensure that the mains supply (including voltage, frequency and power) complies
with the rating label of the appliance.
• Examine the appliance frequently and return to the supplier if has been misused
or damaged.

Always ensure the blanket is covered while in use to retain heat.
CAUTION: Do not cover the controller under the electric blanket or trap the
controllers under pillow, mattress or blanket. Always keep the remote control away
from heat sources.
1. Unfold the blanket and lay it on the bed on top of your mattress.
2. Align the blanket so that the power inlets for the controllers are by the pillow
end of the mattress.
3. Use the tie down rope and loops to secure the product to the mattress.
4. Once the blanket is secure, connect the controllers to the blanket by plugging
the power connectors into the power inlets.

Once the blanket has been securely fitted to the bed, plug the power leads into the
closest power sockets at the pillow end. Ensure the power leads are not stretched
so that they will not be tripped over.
Your electric blanket comes with two controllers. Each one controls two heating
zones:
• Left side controller: body and feet heating zones of the person sleeping on the
left.
• Right side controller: body and feet heating zones of the person sleeping on
the right.

Controls
OFF/ON/OFF dial
Use the dial to switch the selected controller ON or OFF.
Body temperature setting button
Use to select your preferred temperature setting from lowest level 1 to highest level
9. To put the body heating zone on standby, select temperature setting 0.
When selecting a high temperature setting between 5 and 9 for continuous use,
the temperature will automatically change to setting 4 after 3 hours.
Feet temperature setting button
Use to select your preferred temperature setting from lowest level 1 to highest level
9. To put the feet heating zone on standby, select temperature setting 0.
When selecting a high temperature setting between 5 and 9 for continuous use,
the temperature will automatically change to setting 4 after 3 hours.
Timer button
Use to select a turn-off timer between 1 to 12 hours and by increments of 1 hour.
When the timer runs out, the corresponding side of the bed will go into standby,
temperature setting 0.
The maximum amount of time your blanket can be switched ON for is 12
consecutive hours.
Auto mode button
This button automatically sets the concerned body and feet temperature settings
to position 5 and the timer to 3 hours.
Note: If you are using the blanket all night, use it on temperature setting 4 or
below. This will provide a safe and comfortable temperature for all night use.

Important note: Cosi Home electric under blankets can be washed but NEVER dry
cleaned.
Washing
WARNING: Always turn the electric blanket OFF, unplug the power plugs from the
electrical outlets and allow the appliance to completely cool down before handling
or cleaning it.

plug the power plug back

switch the controller ON.
CAUTION: Do not cover the
controller with the electric
blanket or expose to heat
sources.

The controller has been
placed under the blanket
and it has overheated. As a
safety measure, the electric
blanket has turned off.
Turn the controller OFF,
unplug the electric blanket,
lay it down completely flat
and leave to cool down.
CAUTION: Always disconnect the controllers from the blanket before washing. Do
not allow water or other liquids to come into contact with the controllers or main
power plugs.
CAUTION: Do not use any abrasive cleaners or solvents, as this will damage the
blanket.
Prior to washing, it is essential to measure the blanket so you can make sure that it
has returned to its original size after washing.
• When hand washing, use a mild mashing powder or detergent and warm
water. Soak for 5 minutes and gently wash and rinse thoroughly in clean water.
• For machine washing, wash as wool at a maximum of 30°C.

Storage
WARNING: Always turn the electric blanket OFF, unplug the power plugs from the
electrical outlets and allow the appliance to completely cool down before handling
or storing.
When the blanket is not in use switch the controllers OFF and remove the power
plugs from the power sockets. To remove the power connectors from the power
inlets, lift the locking tab up with your finger and pull the connector directly out.
Note: Do not pull the controller cables and do not try and pull the controller
connectors out without lifting the locking tabs as you will damage the inlets.
• To store your product out of season, we recommend using the original or
similar size box.
• Ensure to carefully fold your blanket before storing.
• Do not kink or wrap the power cords and plugs around the blanket, as this
may cause the insulation to weaken or split, particularly where it enters the
appliance.
• Store the electric blanket in a safe, dry place, out of reach of children when not
in use.
• Do not use mothproofing agents on the blanket.
Waste electrical and electronic products (WEEE), batteries,
accumulatorandpackaging should not be disposed of with general household
waste. This is to prevent possible harm to the environment and human well-being,
and to help conserve our natural resources. Most electrical products with a plug,
battery, or cable can be recycled. Contact your local council, household waste
disposal service, or the store where you purchased the product for information
regarding the collection schemes in your area.
Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE)
This symbol on the product and/or packaging indicates that Waste Electrical
products (WEEE) under Directive 2012/19/EU which governs used electrical and
electronic appliances, should not be disposed of with general household waste.
The Mobius Loop
This symbol indicates that the product or packaging is capable of being recycled.
Take-Back Scheme
Waste electrical products (WEEE) can be sent to One Retail Group for recycling and
disposal when you purchase a new product from One Retail Group, on a like-for-

The end-user of electrical and electronic products (WEEE) is responsible for
separating old batteries and lamp bulbs before they are handed over to a
designated disposal and recycling service. Waste batteries can also be disposed of
in collection bins, which can be found in most local supermarkets and household
waste recycling centres.
Recycling and Disposal
Drying
We recommend air-drying the electric blanket.
WARNING:
• Do not peg on the wired areas of the blanket as this will damage the internal
circuit.
• Never wring the blanket after it has been washed.
• Always ensure the blanket is 100% dry and has returned its original size before
use.
